Merry Maids of Conyers is the absolute best! Their service is top notch and communication was timely.

The absolute worst cleaning I have ever seen. So disappointed.

I booked a cleaning online a few days in advance. After booking, I didn't receive any kind of email verification and I assumed I would get some confirmation via phone ahead of the clean. At this point, I was charged the full amount.

On the day of the clean, no one showed up. I called my local Merry Maids, but they didn't answer, so I left a voicemail with my name, number, expectations, and request for a refund.

Several days later, they still haven't been in touch with me. I'm still waiting for some kind of communication, but as of right now, they've scammed me out of almost £200.

I will edit this review if contact and a refund are made.

Edit: I called my local Merry Maids office once more with no reply. I contacted their customer service team, run by ServiceMaster, who put in my request for refund and call back twice. I never received a call back. I then messaged my local office once Facebook but didn’t receive a reply.

I finally received a full refund of services but had no contact or communication whatsoever with Merry Maids themselves. A truly awful and dehumanising experience. Almost as bad as Maid2clean. Wouldn’t recommend using this service. Choose a local independent cleaner instead.

They forgot to hang up phone after asking for a quote and talked a bunch of crap about what I needed cleaned with a wax on the floor I will post audio from home camera when I pull it

I've waited almost a month to give an honest review, so it wouldn't be done out of anger. Now that I've calmed down, I'm able to give a fair and honest review about the service I received. I'll start by saying I paid Merry Maids of Conyers $630 for a move-in deep cleaning to my new home, which had not been lived in for quite some time. I wish I had taken pictures. My husband and I both were disgusted with the so-called deep cleaning we paid them to do. To start the Refrig. was NOT cleaned inside, the plastic bins had food particles in them. The oven had burned food stuck on bottom and on the glass window of the door. The stove top fan area had food and old grease stuck on it from years of buildup. The window seals throughout the house were dusty. The glass windows in my kitchen cabinet doors were not cleaned well, I could see they made an attempt, but they were all smudged. The front of the dishwasher had food that had dripped down it. I could go on but I won't. This review was to give people a little insight as to the type of deep cleaning service you get for $630 with this company. The one positive thing I will mention is they did vacuum the carpet throughout the house you could see the vacuum cleaner marks. I tried to reach out to the initial contact person in the Conyers office twice to discuss my displeasure with the service I received. I left her messages both times letting her know I wanted to speak with her about the service. As of today 11/8/25, I have not heard back from her. I suppose since they've got my money, they don't need to speak with me. I used their service 5 years before and was less than totally satisfied, but I decided to give them a second chance. I even told the person I spoke with, that this was my second time using their service, she thanked me for choosing them again. Well, much to my dismay I'm very sorry I did. I feel I was SCAMMED out of my money; the service wasn't worth the amount of money they charged me. NO I will never use their service again and NO I do not recommend their service to anyone else, so be warned!!

The Toronto location was awesome from the office staff to the cleaners.

I’ve been using Merry Maids for three years now, with biweekly visits. They vacuum all the floors, dust surfaces, mop, clean the bathrooms, and take care of other general light cleaning. With two adults and three dogs in our household, their help in managing dust and pet hair is invaluable. The team is always punctual, professional, and thorough. They’re also very responsive to feedback or special requests. I’m very happy with their service.

The lady's are wonderful they are polite helpful and do a good job that I can't do anymore. I find them a blessing.

The cleaners who came on the appointed day were punctual, professional, polite and did an excellent job of the areas we had arranged to be deep cleaned. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.

I called to get cost information for light house cleaning for 3 hrs/week. They asked where I lived & the size of my house. After I replied $60/hr was too much, the lady wanted to negotiate a price. I need 3 hrs/week of light house cleaning. This is bullsh*t.

Today I had Merry Maids for the first time. The cleaners were Amber & Trinity - they did a great job and will definitely keep them coming every other week! Love the fresh orange smell of the floor cleaner!

Cheryl cleans our offices 3 days a week she is an excellent cleaner and a very pleasant lady. I would definitely recommend her she does a fantastic job.

I am extremely disappointed with the so-called "professional" cleaning service from Merry Maids. The quality of work was absolutely unacceptable. They failed to clean the baseboards, floors, door frames, window sills, cabinets, and even the restroom. Everything was left just as dirty as before, if not worse.

To make matters worse, they attempted to clean an 1,800 sq. ft. home with nothing more than two dusters, a single box of Arm & Hammer fresh scent carpet powder, one magic eraser, and a bottle of window cleaner. How can a company that claims to be a professional cleaning service think that’s enough to do a thorough job? The answer is—they didn’t even try.

On top of that, they had the audacity to leave a black trash bag sitting at the front door—showing zero respect for new homeowners. That level of carelessness speaks volumes about their professionalism.

When I complained, they offered to come back and clean what they should have done right the first time. I declined because if this is their idea of a “professional standard” clean, I can’t imagine what any other cleaning from them would look like.

Do not waste your hard-earned money on this company—you will be disappointed. I expected a deep, professional, clean, and instead, I received an overpriced, half-hearted attempt at tidying up. Merry Maids should be ashamed of themselves for charging customers for a service they clearly have no intention of delivering. Save your money and hire someone who actually cares about doing the job right.

I have Penny of Merry Maids of Stafford on a monthly basis and I find her trustworthy, hardworking and thorough. I would give her a 10 star review if it was possible. Jenny of Eccleshall.
