Insane price hike with no warning.

Excellent food which my dog was doing well on. I regularly recommend them to other dog owners and I know several people that have switched after my recommendation. However I went to order today and was shocked to see the massive price hike. 72 cans has gone up by £33 which means it's now unaffordable. I appreciate that things go up but to put them up by such a massive amount and not inform regular loyal customers that it was happening is just bad form. It leaves very little time to research and try other foods for my very fussy dog. So you've lost another customer who will no longer be recommending you.

Wonderful 😀

I was having difficulty choosing which food would be suitable for my Great Dane,after being recommended this food by a friend, i emailed for advice and was extremely happy with the reply's which was very detailed and informative , its now been 3 weeks and my Luna loves this kibble which is such a relief after searching for months to find a food which agreed with her .

Amazing difference

From the first phone call to the nutrition team I have been impressed with the level of advice , support and guidance from the Millie’s team . My rottie had really suffered with nasty ear infections for over 4 years and having tried all food solutions , raw , single source protein , soya based and so called hypoallergenic.. he’d been on and off steroids and ear creams , had 3x ear flushes under sedation .. we’d got to the point where the Vet recommended a TECA procedure which if you google ( don’t google) is an invasive and difficult surgery to remove the ear canal .. i cancelled the appointment for the surgery and went back to researching foods and I came across Millie’s .. some good reviews …so after speaking to the team we decided it was worth a shot . Firstly he loved the food and seemed excited to eat it then fast forward 6 weeks .. no meds no ear infection no scratching .. even the Vet was amazed at the difference . Thank you Millie’s we have a bouncy happy rottie 🙏 fantastic service

Superb product, excellent customer service

This is a company whose product and customer service is simply outstanding.
I was offered detailed but accessible answers to my questions about a suitable diet for my very active cocker. Elaine offered specific guidance tailored to my dog, and also advised on how to introduce new recipes.
MW is really high quality, there is a wide range of flavours which you can mix and match for flavour variety, once your dog is on their food. Delivery is always prompt and free.
Overall an outstanding product and customer service

Eve is a fabulous asset.

Eve is a fabulous asset to have in a company. Prompt knowledgeable reply and she just seems like a lovely person.
As for the food my dog loves the kibble to which he has recently switched. As for the wet food I am waiting for a trial pack to arrive.

The number of 1 star reviews regarding prices does make you think. So I will try to find out about the alternative everyone is talking about. Just say the name your review will still be published.

Excellent customer service

I am yet to try Millie's Wolfheart food but I am writing a review about their customer service which I have been really pleased with.
I enquired about a suitable food for my dog and got a reply the same day. The response was detailed and gave me options of food which I could try and why these would be good choices for my dog. It gave me some great advice about how best to switch foods and how long I should keep him on a single food before trying other options.
I'm looking forward to trying one of the foods soon and hopefully finding a food that works for my dog and one he enjoys. Thank you :)

Been a loyal customer and fan of Millie's for 7 years but like others cannot absorb the insane price increases for the wet food especially! I understand you've not put prices up for 2 years but to do so without any communication to customers and by so much is simply terrible customer service and another customer here is leaving. So sorry to as it's been great and great service before this but you've priced us out.

Unjustified price hike

We’ve been buying the 72 can wet food for about 3 years, originally it was £99 which was good, it then went up to £105 which I can understand, but I’ve just gone to reorder and it’s a whopping £138, there is no excuse for such a hike.
We’ve now switched to another company which is the same quality and works out the equivalent of £102 for 72 tins.

high quality great customer service

Been using Millies Wolfheart for about 18 months now, buying only dried kibble (0riginally turkey & veg, but my dog needed to put on some weight so upped to the Countryside Mix).

Pros:
> Customer Service - it's refreshing to have a UK based business with a UK based customer service team. They're always on hand to help with any query (for me it's usually delivery times because I forget to get my order in). Shoutout to Tracey who is always so helpful.
> Quality of the food. You can tell its good quality. Plus my dog is obsessed with it. Constantly drooling whilst we make her wait patiently for her bowl to be put down. Also, my dog's coat always gets commented on because it looks so nice, and I can only attribute this to the quality of ingredients in her kibble.

Cons:
> Like many other 1 star reviews, the price increases are a little frustrating. But my kibble does only seem to have increased by £5 for a 14kg bag over the 18 months. It's understandable a business has to increase costs, but a little transparency with current customers would help

e.g. many presumably purchase the same products on repeat. An email to regular customers informing them of the price change, and a little information about "why" would help improve transparency on the reasons the cost increases are required

That said, I'll continue to use the brand due to superb customer service and quality of the products.

Good bye millies

Well thats a shame. Been a millies customer for 7 years, 72 can deal every 2 months along with treats. To now being told the owners have put the price up and now basically for the same money you get 48 tins instead of 72. I can understand prices go up but its the fact is no communication and no warning. You would think after 7 years of orders and an account set up they would notify customers regardless on what type of food you bought. Shocking. No more ordering bye millies

Make that yet another customer lost, MW!
Like others, I am furious that you appear to think nothing of your loyal customers who have stood by you for a long time and despite us having a number of decent brands available. But to increase your prices by 40% without warning....well it is pretty obvious why you chose not to inform any of us of these arrogant increases.

Although all is not lost however, as thanks to your unsympathetic manners, I have now found a wonderful new alternative whose prices are over a third cheaper than yours PRIOR to your increases.

A very satisfied dog owner with an even more satisfied pooch! For anyone else jumping ship, well a quick google search guys along the lines of "Millies Wolfheart price increases" should bring you to the same dog owners forum that I found and you will see that there is a dedicated thread to the recent tyrannical actions of MW.

Great quality but expensive

We've fed Millies kibble (Hunter / Turkey and Veg) from age 6 months to 20 months. Reason for change is price increase of kibble and wet food (our BC likes a mix of both) means it's now more economical for us to feed raw (ironically). If we need to feed kibble for travel (raw isn't easy when on the move) we would definitely still use it and would recommend highly for anyone who can afford it and who wants to use kibble, great ingredients and British.

Extortionate Price Hikes!

Been a customer for two years. Went to order my usual wet food 72 cans (£105) when my tins were running low to find that option no longer exists! The only option now is 48 cans for £95! Furious that (a) Millie’s Wolfheart did not inform their regular customers in advance of this (as someone who takes a great deal of care to take time to research the food that I feed my dog and now left with not much time to find an alternative!) and (b) that they feel it is acceptable to increase their prices by 40% overnight! I understand costs have risen but this is a price hike too far. You’ve just lost another customer Millie’s Wolfheart!

Been ordering the 72 can deal for 3+ years. I appreciate prices increase, but the excuses of 'our costs have risen' no longer works, as the cost of everything has peaked and they already increased their prices to reflect this.

The last time I ordered from them, it was £105 for 72 cans.

Now the maximum 'wet food multi deal' is 48 cans for £96! An increase in price of almost 40%!!!!

Needless to say, we won't be ordering from these guys again.

I phoned the company for an explanation and the girl just said, 'the owners have decided to increase the prices'!

40%!

You just lost a customer for life.

**Update to the response from Millies Wolfheart. Too little, too late. I've now switched my dog to another brand. And big deal you reintroduced the 72 can deal, it still meant an increase of over 30% overnight. A really shoddy way to treat loyal customers. No way I would trust you again, my dog deserves better than us being taking for a ride by an unscrupulous supplier. Plenty other suppliers out there, and to be honest his new food seems to have improved his bowel movements. No way I'd switch back now!

Been loyal to this brand for years now

Been loyal to this brand for years now, have been using the 72 tin deal & have stood by them through the last several years when the price increased £5 every time I ordered for a couple of years. It went from roughly £1 per tin to £1.50 a 33% increase.
So I go online today, there is no 72 tin deal, only 48, which mean I’m now expected to pay £2 per tin! Another 33% per increase!
A good product, but not that good, not when you’re obviously price gouging.
Never mind, another formerly decent company falls to the seemingly irresistible lure of money over loyalty 🤷🏻‍♂️

Just too expensive now

The food seems good but just went to order & the price has risen again! Can't justify paying £69 for a 14kg bag.

Prices…

My dog really enjoyed wet food from Millies and I have been with this company since 2022 but unfortunately this month has been my last order as the prices rise incredibly high. Also there is no discount for regular customers.
