Moriarty's Gem Art Reviews

This was my first visit at Moriarty”s Gem Art store. Actually, it was my first time purchasing a custom-made ring. Alice Was very helpful with the diamond selection. She showed me and explained the different shapes and qualities of the diamonds. Then the whole process of setting the diamonds within the ring, and the ring shape was another experience for me that I thought was wonderful because I was allowed to express the design of how I wanted it. In the end, the ring was so stunning to me that it brought me to tears. I recommend Moriarty gem art store to anyone who wants a good quality service and jewelry.

I have been working with Alice and the Moriarty team for years on some jewelry but recently I decided to have a ring recreated but needed it to be perfect. Steve and Alice took the only photos I had, which were really bad, and found the right size and shape stones. This was not an easy task as I wanted as close to an exact match as possible, and they were working with horrible pics and my memory.
From there they created renderings to make sure the exact look was made. In the end it was like my ring came back from the dead and brought me to tears! Thank you to Steve, Alice and Chris for making this happen!

Had never worked with Jewelry Company over the internet before--I found web site on line and proceeded forward developing feeling of confidence and trust in their expertise professionalism and knowledge. Alice demonstrated all of this with my Tanzanite necklace replacement and repair

This was my second purchase from the Moriarty family. Both times I purchased individual stones (Tanzanite and Blue Zircon) and worked with Alice to design custom rings. The stones themselves are fantastic quality and Alice's patience with my design ideas and questions was wonderful. Both rings are stunning. If you are hesitant to buy online, please think of giving Moregems a try. They have a monthly gem show on YouTube that gives you some great insight into the different stones, how they are mined and cut - very informative. Already looking for my next purchase. ;-)

Unique lovely jewelry, quick response & shipping.

Quality jewelry, gemstones, and your source for custom made designs. I have purchased a number of gemstones from Moriarty's over the years and I have had a custom ring made for myself and pendents made for members of my family. I have always been satisfied with the customer service and quality gems and jewelry from Moriarty's Gem Art.

Have made more than a few purchases at Moriarty’s. Beautiful Tanzanite and Steve’s unique grading system makes it easy to find the same or similar color from previous purchases. Shopping in store with Alice and Mike has been such a great experience. No pressure and they are so knowledgeable and easy to talk with. They will tell you to check the stones under the different lighting in the store so you can truly see how it looks. Extremely patient trying to find the right loose stone. Love all our pieces and will never buy Tanzanite anywhere else. If you are within a drive to the store it is well worth it to see the incredible selection of ready made pieces and loose gems.
Communication and shipping have been perfect. Don’t waste your time looking elsewhere because you won’t find anything better!

This is my second purchase from Moriarty’s. Delivery was tracked and followed up by Alice and she kept in touch with me. AND I love my pendant. The Tanzanite is stunning. Thank you to all at Moriarty’s.

We have been extremely happy with every gemstone purchased here. In fact, we are currently working on our third tanzanite ring design courtesy of Moriarty’s Gem Art and we could not be happier. We will always be loyal customers.

After my husband gifted me with a stunning custom designed tanzanite pendant, I turned back to Moriarty’s to design complimentary earrings. They’ve just arrived and are just as promised. The process was timely, personal and professional.

We had a lovely visit at Moriarty’s last week. After looking at many beauties, I decided on a simple gold band set with sapphires and diamonds. It arrived Saturday after being sized. It is perfect! Simple and easy to wear-I love it.

I echo JW's "rave review" of Moriarty's Gem Art. I also had a tanzanite and diamond ring made. The top-notch quality/beauty, outstanding customer service, and reasonable price are commendable. The whole process was actually enjoyable. Little "extras" were provided like overnight mail delivery, quick response to my questions, lots of pictures of what to expect, and pleasant people to deal with. Their website is a "fun" place to visit and dream, and their "specials" are fantastic--and sooooooo tempting. Keep up the superb work folks, and many thanks.

Moriarty's Gem Art created a custom Tanzanite and Diamond ring for us remotely. They worked very hard through several design changes at our request to ensure that everything was done to meet our vision. We received the ring and it was absolutely beautiful! It was a true pleasure to work with them on making this a reality. I was impressed with how the whole process was handled. Moriarty's Gem Art is a top notch business. Thank you so very much for all of your work on making this perfect.

Love my new Morganite ring from Moriarty's Gem Art. Third jewelry piece from the store and always perfect in beauty, fit and fast service. I love the Gem shows online too. Love you guys and hope to buy more from you as time goes on. Joanne Collett

I live in Australia and ordered ammonite gems (three). Not only did the gems that arrived look exactly like the photos on their website but they arrived in about 3 days from the US. They were packaged very securely and I could not be more pleased with the product and the service. I will certainly order again.

Yay!! Today I received a pendant that was custom made from one of the 2 gemstones I had purchased in April of 2020. So far I have purchased 3 gemstones from Moriarty's and had them all custom set at their location after purchasing from a live show on their Youtube site. One beautiful pink Malaya garnet was made into a ring for my youngest daughter but I could not decide on what to do with the beautiful Cambodian zircon. Alice was kind enough to email me some computer rendered examples she had made, based on our conversation, and I made a choice. I asked Alice if they would hold the blue zircon until I came to a decision on what to do with this special stone. I have since purchased a vibrant Welo opal that was made unto a gorgeous pendant by Christopher Michael, while my zircon remained pending my decision. Recently, I finally decided to have the blue Cambodian zircon made into a pendant, which is now intended for my eldest daughter as a Christmas gift. I cannot believe that the stone would still be available for me after sitting In the store for over 2 years. I did not have the same luck with some diamonds I left for cleaning at a local diamond store, what I now realize is a shady establishment. I went nuts with amazement watching my first live show on Youtube in 2020 and haven't looked at another jeweler since. The stones are top quality, cut by Steve and even more beautiful in person. Every piece of jewelry is STUNNING!! I am a customer for life!! Many thanks to everyone at Moriarty's!!

PS: And..many thanks to Jeff for taking my orders and whom always seems to be manning the live chat!!

I just received 2 pear-cut Welo opal cabochan stones, and they are breathtaking in person. I was expecting some ultraviolet flashes, which are not as prevalent as the online professional photo and that is to be expected due to differing light sources. But the red flashes are amazing - like red fireworks going off! These will be mounted into a ring and pendant once designs are decided. Of course they don't "match" one another as they're opals, but each is super-special and I can't wait to wear them!!

I’d been researching gemstones for a while, when I came across Moriarty's. I was hesitant to shop online for such a purchase, but after visiting their website many times, looking at their products as well as watching their YouTube video's, I am extremely pleased with my purchase. The whole team from Steve, Alice, Jeff and others were all extremely responsive to my questions and patient with me as a first-time buyer out of his comfort zone.

After the purchase, the shipping was very easy and they accommodated my request to delay shipment until I returned from vacation.

If you are looking for nice gems or jewelry, nervous about what to expect or unsure about purchasing online, this is the place to go. They are responsive, transparent and will help talk through any concerns you have. I will definitely be back again.

I can't fault my experience with Moriarty's Gem Art! I first watched Steve cutting stones on You Tube and decided my next gem purchase would be something that has a great cut. I saw a beautiful Heliodor 7.84 cts on the website and initially messaged Jeff who held it for me while I decided to purchase. Alice took over and was very helpful answering my questions. I decided to buy and my gem travelled from Crown Point to Radyr South Wales without any problems and within 4 days via Fed Ex. I will buy again, hopefully soon!

Bought several stones from Moriarty’s and have been blown away each time with the quality of Steve’s cutting, the ease and speed of the order process and the customer service. Couldn’t be happier!!!
