The experience felt different from the very start - easy to navigate website and test drive booking and all the information I needed on price.
In store service was a delight, no hard sell, straight answers to any questions, unaccompanied test drive to give time to consider options. I had put off getting a new car for a long time due to previous bad experiences with car sales (particularly as a woman) and this has totally changed my mind.

Mark and Nick were our contacts at Motorpoint Edinburgh and both were excellent. Mark handled the end paperwork and seemed like a really nice guy who new his stuff.

Great staff who put no pressure on you to buy.

Very pleased with the car purchase. There was an administrative issue, but Motorpoint resolved this promptly, which speaks a lot about their customer service. Top marks.

The sales and after sales were first class, but the accounts team were not in the same class as the rest of the team. I paid 70% bank transfer 30% credit card to obtain section 75 credit card protection. Unfortunately it was limited to £1000 with motor point limited facilities. I had a couple of failed transactions, masking 1 extra £1000 overpayment which motor point initially denied. It took motor point 17 days to eventually admit to the overpayment & reimbursement. In my internet banking I noted 5 transactions to Motorpoint and should have been 4.
The disappointment was motorpoint could not see 5 transactions.

No pressure on the sale which was great
Car only had 40 miles fuel- not knowing Edinburgh well we thought we would reach the fuel station on the bypass, just managed this due to traffic

Had a poor experience when selling a car to Motorpoint Edinburgh. No issue with the valuation. The issue was getting paid. According to their own T&C's for selling a car if you agree the sale before Midday then the payment will be in your account the same working day. This did not happen in my case and trying to phone them is like pulling teeth after 80 minutes of not answering my call I gave up. Simply looks like somebody has not done their job and authorised the payment. Would not recommend this company for selling your car.
