Great customer service, had a couple of things not done when we picked the car up. But sorted straight away before we drive the car away.

The customer service was excellent and there was no pressure selling at all. They just give you the keys to the car that you are interested in and let you look over it.
Buying the car was so easy with the help of the sales executive. I would highly recommend buying from then.

We purchased a car from Motorpoint Oldbury in September and it has been an ongoing nightmare from the start.

On the day we collected the vehicle, we noticed the windscreen was cracked. We made them aware immediately. They initially wanted to fit an aftermarket windscreen, which we later discovered would have voided the manufacturer’s warranty. It then took five weeks to finally resolve and have the windscreen replaced properly.

During this time, we spoke to another dealer who was appalled at how we had been treated and confirmed that fitting an aftermarket screen could indeed have voided the warranty.

The issues didn’t stop there. The petrol cap was faulty and had to be replaced almost immediately after purchase. We also had to replace two tyres shortly after buying the car. We were told the vehicle had undergone a full check before sale, but based on the problems we experienced, that is very hard to believe.

When asking about future servicing, we discovered the car had not actually been serviced as we were originally told at the point of sale. This meant our first service ended up costing us double what we had expected.

Communication has been extremely poor throughout. They were very difficult to get hold of, repeatedly promised call-backs that never happened, and overall customer service has been disappointing.

To make matters worse, six months later we discovered our previous vehicle had not had its ownership documents updated by Motorpoint which had left us liable for the road tax , we have today had to pay that the first we heard about it was s demand from credit control for the dvla .

Looking back, we should have returned the car immediately. The whole experience has been incredibly stressful and frustrating. I would strongly advise anyone considering purchasing from Motorpoint Oldbury to be very cautious and double-check absolutely everything before driving away. Or better yet don’t go in the first place

As soon as my husband and I walked into the office, we felt very welcome. We were seen almost straight away by a friendly man named Daniel. He explained how everything works and asked what kind of car we were looking to buy.

We weren’t sure what to choose, as my previous car had been written off the week before after someone crashed into it. Daniel gave us a sheet of paper and suggested we look around at the small and medium cars, noting down the numbers of any we liked. We wrote down about five options and then returned to the office for another discussion. In the end, we were able to make a final decision.

They gave us two days to complete the payment. When we went back, we exchanged the necessary information and were shown the car again. We were very happy with the service we received and would definitely return in the future. It was all straightforward and hassle-free. Daniel needs to get employee of the month!

FINAL UPDATE #2 (17 April 2026): Just when I thought this whole thing was done and dusted since my "final" update on 9 March, I got a call from Asst. Sales Manager Scott. He apologised again that this wasn't resolved to anyone's satisfaction and offered a goodwill gesture refund to cover the out-of-pocket costs of repairing the tear myself plus a little extra for the inconvenience. I was surprised and a little sceptical, but the deposit is there. So I wanted to thank Scott for making this right and restoring my faith in Motorpoint!

FINAL UPDATE 9 March: Unfortunately Motorpoint didn't get back to me and I ended up repairing the leather out of my own pocket over the weekend. Bottom line, I'm sure for most people, the process of buying a car w/ Motorpoint is 100% fine. However, if upon inspection of the vehicle you notice any chips, cracks, tears or other cosmetic issue that was not visible in the online pictures - get it fixed BEFORE collecting the vehicle. Unfortunately there is no incentive to get this done after all is said and done. I pointed out the leather tear on the armrest when I first saw the car. A manager came out and asked me where I lived and assured me the mobile repair could do it no problem. So I completed the sale. Turns out, the distance was too far for the mobile repair after all, and I have gone days without hearing back as to rescheduling or getting the mobile repair guy to come to me. Everyone I have spoken to have been friendly enough, just unfortunate that this repair was not able to be fixed per the original conversation. thanks

Found a Lexus online (Castleford) and went through the process to transfer the vehicle to closer location (Oldbury), including the financing process. Overall the pickup process was smooth, and the Oldbury sales person (Gary) was friendly and helpful. However, I noticed a small tear in the leather of the centre armrest which was not visible in the online pictures. Gary brought the manager over and I was promised that this would be fixed via mobile repair. I am still waiting to be contacted to arrange this and will amend this review once the promised fix is completed. Obviously all the paperwork was signed and money transferred, so really I only have their promise that this will happen. I emailed Gary and will wait the week for the call to arrange this repair.

Not pushy , which I liked. Took their time.

Helpful from the start but no pressure to get a sale. Have us good information about the vehicles and left us to decide which vehicle we wanted to purchase. Would recommend.

Matt Walker was most helpful when we were buying our used VW Polo. He gave us plenty of time to make decisions and guided us through the process smoothly.

Sense of honesty

Biight a Fiat 500 for my wife from the Oldbury branch. Really simple buying process, car was in excellent condition and great price. All the team at Oldbury were amazing!
