Beware!!!

Don’t expect to see all your deposit returned. They obscure in the small print that you have to post it back on the day of the end of the rental period no later than 1pm. So half a days rent period for a full day charge - regardless of T&Cs that’s unethical . If you post it after 1pm they penalise you. Be careful if you end your rent period on a Sunday. In any event they take money from you fraudulently as they count Sunday as a ‘late’ day when you cannot post it on a Sunday as you need an open Post office. Again…. At best this is unethical.

The old ‘oh you signed the T&Cs ‘ is the refuge of the dodgy trader. Who would reasonably expect such a stunt? Just because you bury unreasonable terms in a contract does not absolve you of your responsibility to be an ethical business.

Thank you for your feedback.
Information that the device needs to be posted back on your end of hire date is highlighted on the delivery and return information page, FAQ page, in the hire confirmation email you receive after placing your order (under the "Important note:" section of the email) and also printed in red coloured text on the guide/A4 paper included in the hire package.

I have looked into your hire, and I can see Royal mail tracking details for the return label you used in sending the device back at the end of your hire period shows you dropped off the device at your local post office 3 days after your end of hire date (Your hire ended on a Saturday, but you dropped it off at the post office on Tuesday afternoon the following week).

I didn’t know that temporary internet…

I didn’t know that temporary internet was an option until I moved house and was without it for a few weeks. Eventually, I thought I’d try this and it went great! So easy to set up, just plug in and go, and I didn’t have a single problem while using the service. At the end of my use I was sent the deposit back within days of them confirming they received the router back. If you can’t live without internet for a week or two, this is a great option, I’d have no problem using them again if it’s needed.

Highly recommended

Highly recommended. We moved house and decided to switch broadband providers, which was a 2 week wait. We work from home twice a week so needed a good connection and Moving Internet was brilliant! Next day delivery. I had to extend the hire for a week but needed less than that in the end so returned the box early (prepaid return label) and got an automatic refund. I wouldn’t hesitate to use again.

This has been looked into. I've searched our customer service inbox, and can see the customer service team had not been contacted for support regarding speed challenges during the hire.

In situations where there is a local/regional telecom mast issue affecting the local area where a device is being used, our standard procedure involves investigating the speed issue first to identify the cause and see if it can be resolved remotely before checking if an alternative network is available and is not experiencing technical issues. If an alternative network is available we quickly arrange for a replacement device to be delivered to your address.

Unfortunately, we were not made aware of this during your hire period, so we were unable to investigate the issue during your hiring period.

Good Temporary internet

We used this service after moving house and finding that our broadband provider could not install for 2 - 3 weeks. The router arrived exactly on time, very easy to use just plug in, enter password and ready to go.
The signal was ok for general use such as browsing, e-mails and whatsapp but it was not fast enough to use for streaming, our smart tv and firestick would only work intermittently and kept buffering.
That said, it got us out of trouble for the short term and delivery/return procedures were excellent.

Absolutely brilliant

Absolutely brilliant. I couldn't have survived the last few weeks without Moving Internet's router and internet. I cannot express how fabulous this company is, and how kind, friendly and helpful they are. Oh I forgot to add patient, my moving in date to my new house changed so frequently I think we all got dizzy, but it was never any trouble to Moving Internet. If your having any problems with your internet, or are moving house, this is definitely the company to use.

New property rental trial

I recently used Moving Internet for a week while I worked out which internet would work best in a new rental flat where fixed fibre was not available and would take time to install. Moving Internet's service was excellent, from pre-hire questions on the website or via email, the delivery and returns experience and my ability to trial the network that I thought would work best in the property. All-round excellent.

Exactly as described - very convenient

Exactly as described - next day delivery, literally just plug in and go, and was a strong enough signal to do everything I needed (work from home, stream TVs, smartphone use). Posted back at end and deposit refunded next day.

This was a really essential stopgap for a week for us when we moved house. Although we aren't in a brilliant area for phone signal the Internet was strong enough to stream Nexflix and work from home. Great service and easy return. Recommended.

VERY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE

VERY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. WiFi connection is horrible. Delivery was delayed by royal mail and refused to modify the order. Once the WiFi finally arrived. The connection was super bad sometimes I have to keep using my own data!

I have looked into this and I have searched through our customer service support inbox. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find any order under your name on our system or in our customer service inbox.

I requested through Trustpilot for details of the hire so that I can investigate the order but Trustpilot notified me after 4 days that you still hadn't provided the order details I requested for through Trustpilot, so I was unable to investigate it.

Delayed delivery of a device can occur for various reasons such as (but not limited to), if your address is inaccessible which means the delivery man/woman wouldn't be able to get inside a compound or into a building that has multiple flats in it (due to no one answering the bell)" or if no one is available to sign for the device upon delivery then a leaflet would be passed through the door with instructions for collecting it from your local delivery office. Also, the tracking details for the package is normally sent automatically to customers within 1-5 hours after the package has been dispatched to enable them track the delivery of the device.

There are a number of external factors that can affect the speed. Hence, reaching out to us by replying your hire confirmation email to notify us of speed issues being experienced would have meant the team would investigate the issue to first identify the cause and see if it can be resolved remotely. Else, if one of the other data providers we use has a better speed at that location, a replacement device could then be dispatched.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find any order under your name on our system, so I've been unable to investigate the issue described in your feedback"

Really speedy service and was delivered…

Really speedy service and was delivered on time. Easy to use and set up, just plug and play really. Not the fastest connection and is probably 3G connection. But when you have just moved into a new house, it’s better than nothing, so would use again if I had to.
