Not trustworthy! Promises one thing today tomorrow they ignored you like you dont exist… well I recently bought892 bt + T-Key 101 knowing topology is on its way only to find out its for the selected few! Am really really disappointed. What if they decide to stop rolling out the updates just like they denied us topology!!!

Piss poor company, corporate greed and poor business practices, lies to customers, promises something and doesn't follow thru.
The solution would be to give the 10's of 1000s of customers the topology the were told they were getting, and a public apology. 👎👎2 thumbs down

I bought the MUCAR 892BT because the company advertised that the Topology feature was in development and would be coming to this scanner. Instead, they released a 892BT Pro with what appears to be the same hardware and made the feature exclusive to the Pro model, charging about $300 more. That is a classic bait-and-switch.

What makes this even worse is that many of us actually helped test and provide feedback during development, only to have the finished feature locked behind a more expensive version. Customers who bought the original scanner based on those promises were simply left behind.

On top of that, the scanner is still buggy. It sometimes reports different numbers of DTCs on consecutive scans, some calibration functions don’t work at all, and the app occasionally freezes or loses communication. Very disappointing experience, and I won’t be buying another MUCAR or THINKSCAN product.

Le produit est correct malgré quelques lenteurs au démarrage et au diagnostic. Le souci est que cette marque ne tient pas ses engagements sur le fait de fournir à ses clients la fonction de topologie du véhicule. Ils ont préféré sortir un nouveau modèle avec cette fonction.... Alors que le matériel est strictement identique mais le prix a bien augmenté. Donc déçu

Bought their scanner on the promise of topology feature being added to the 892BT. It has not and these blatant lies from a company does not sit well with everyone that has bought one. Do not buy one if you are expecting topology from a company full of lies. If I could return mine, I would, as now to get topology, you need to buy the 892BT PRO. Shame on you .

After doing some research, I decided to buy their top-of-the-line scan tool because they advertised a feature that was supposedly in beta and “coming soon.” We were led to believe that this feature would eventually be available on the tool we purchased.

Instead, they released a new PRO version of the same scan tool for an additional $500 and now claim that the feature is exclusive to the PRO model.

The most frustrating part is that many of us literally participated in testing and helping develop this feature on the scan tool we already own. After using our feedback to improve it, they locked it behind a more expensive version. That feels incredibly misleading and unfair to customers who bought the original model expecting that promised feature.

They are also offering discounts in exchange for reviews here, which seem to violate trustpilot’s rules.

Best scan tool the mucar 892bt. Online service help is amazing. They fix any issues with the scanner and they gave me the topology update

Do Not Buy - Mucar 892BT Software Bricks Itself & Customer Support is a Joke

My MUCAR tablet only used on my personal vehiecle not a mecanic shop suffered a catastrophic internal software failure. The scanner operating system corrupted itself from the inside out, locking the home screen in a developer loop throwing a "toast null" error, and permanently refusing to download vehicle software updates.
When I contacted their official technical support, it was an absolute a joke they dragged it out for weeks. I provided videos and photographic proof of their system errors. I followed every step they gave me: I accessed the hidden factory menus, I did a full system wipe, and nothing worked.

Their engineering support responded with a one-line email telling me to 'clear data or hello.' They refuse to stand behind their product, and they refuse to replace a unit that was destroyed by their own coding errors.

You will be left with an expensive pice of junk scanner. Buy something els reputable instead. MUCAR’s customer service is non-existent, and their software is fundamentally unstable."

Purchased a Mucar 892BT late Dec 2025. It was indicated and advertised that is would have the topology feature. (Was due out in Nov 2025 but "slightly delayed" when I asked about it. Now they release a 892BT Pro that is the exact same hardware as the original 892BT but somehow the 892BT doesn't support Topology. This is partially the reason I purchased. Other that that it is buggy. Different counts of DTC when doing back to back scans. Many auto calibration tests do not work (no errors, they just don't work). UI hands and has communication issues on occasion. STAY AWAY. Classic bait and switch. First and last purchase from Mucar or their parent company Thinkscan.

Thinkcar 689 BT is excellent. It shows Duramax injector balance rates, something I had hoped it would do.

Ich bin Hobbyschrauber und war längere Zeit auf der Suche nach einem universellen Diagnosegerät, das meine Anforderungen erfüllt, ohne regelmäßig hohe Kosten für Updates zu verursachen. Mein Fokus liegt auf Diagnose sowie grundlegenden Wartungsfunktionen und in diesem Bereich funktioniert alles zuverlässig.

Besonders positiv ist der direkt integrierte Support im Gerät (892BT). Anfragen lassen sich ohne Umwege stellen und die Reaktionszeit ist in der Praxis angenehm kurz.

Insgesamt kann ich die Geräte von Mucar empfehlen. Wer spezielle oder fahrzeugspezifische Funktionen benötigt, sollte vorab die Kompatibilität auf der Mucar Website prüfen. Wie bei allen universellen Diagnosegeräten gibt es auch hier Grenzen, was jedoch kein Nachteil ist, sondern dem üblichen Rahmen entspricht.

Der AI-Assistent ist aktuell eher eine Zusatzfunktion. Mit weiterer Entwicklung könnte er künftig einen echten Mehrwert im Alltag bieten. Eine mögliche Integration externer Datenquellen wie HaynesPro oder Autodata wäre dabei ein sinnvoller Schritt.

Great product and even better customer care. Highly recommend this company and look forward to use their products.

BT200 supplied some years ago. Lost phone and change of emal provider inevitably needed to activate with a new email account. New activation code supplied within 24 hours of contact.

They active respond to feedback questions and try to solve the problems i had with the tester mucar 892BT.
The day after i send feedback there came a update for my tester and i could now connect with the car.

They were quick to answer my questions, very satisfied.
