Smooth process, helpful and quick service

Had an amazing experience with My Car Credit. A special thanks to Christopher, who handled my finance deal. I spoke with him multiple times, and he was extremely helpful, professional, and patient throughout the entire process. Highly recommended.

I have nothing but praise for my car credit. From the beginning, they have been very helpful and courteous. Nothing has been too much trouble.
If you have a query, they are there to help. The entire process has been straightforward.

My girlfriend has been trying for over a week to get her finance sorted and the team has been so slow that it gets annoying…everyday they ask for one thing or another…the car has been reserved with the dealers but somehow the paperwork takes forever and it’s frustrating because you can’t even focus at work.

I am currently disputing the APR on finance arranged for my vehicle. I fully acknowledge that I signed the eventual agreement at 10.8% APR. My complaint is about how the APR was represented before I signed and how my concerns have subsequently been handled.

I originally applied through Compare the Market, where My Car Credit was shown at 9.9% APR with a green “Guaranteed” indication. The comparison also separately showed 95% eligibility. I understand that 95% eligibility is not the same as guaranteed acceptance, and that is not my complaint. My concern is the separate representation of the APR as “Guaranteed”.

After signing, I revisited the comparison process and found the same My Car Credit offer at lower rates, including 8.9%, again displaying the APR as guaranteed. I subsequently contacted My Car Credit and received written confirmation from Jerome that the rate was guaranteed subject to the vehicle meeting the stated criteria, which my vehicle does.

There is also an important point regarding the circumstances in which I signed. Around 10 days before collection, I received the finance documents and told Chris that I was uncomfortable signing so early because my first payment would be due 30days after signing, I wasn't due to collect the vehicle for at least 10days so to me this felt very early to be signing. Chris said he was happy to wait, but also explained that delaying could potentially cause delays or complications with the collection. I remember saying, “Okay, do you know what, I’ll just sign and make it easier.” I therefore signed because I did not want to jeopardise the planned collection, at this point i felt pressure to just get the documents signed. At that point I had not appreciated the issue regarding the guaranteed APR.

I have provided extensive evidence and formally complained. I am not simply demanding a cheaper rate because I found one afterwards. I want the matter properly investigated and the finance to be correct based on how the APR was represented to me. As it stands I feel I have been mislead and missold this fianace.

The communication has been particularly unacceptable. My collection is tomorrow at 2pm and, despite repeatedly providing evidence and emailing Carl the team leader again this morning, I have not even received an acknowledgement to confirm that my emails have been received and are being reviewed. I have been left extremely anxious and stressed by the lack of communication.

I want the car, I want the finance, and I have consistently tried to resolve this constructively. I simply expect the APR to have been represented accurately and my complaint to be dealt with properly. Based on my experience so far, I cannot recommend My Car Credit.

I would also like to comment specifically on my interactions with Chris R. During my conversations with Chris, I remained calm and respectful throughout, but I found his attitude and communication style disappointing. On several occasions he repeatedly interrupted me while I was trying to explain my concerns, despite me asking him to allow me to finish speaking before responding. When I initially started the application as a new customer, I also contacted him for advice regarding how the deposit/payment process worked. His response was along the lines of, “Not being funny, mate, but that's for you to sort with the dealership,” which I found unnecessarily dismissive when I was simply seeking guidance as a new customer. During our conversation today, I gave Chris direct feedback regarding his professionalism, attitude and politeness and asked him to reflect on this moving forward. I felt this was important feedback to give directly and hope this is something Chris can take away moving forward.

Car finance was fantastic in supporting me with getting my new car. Service was reliable, quick and easy. I would highly recommend. Connor war excellent and organise everything for me. The process was very smooth.

Great company to work with, no hassle, no issues and always had the answers to any questions I needed to ask! Perfect service!

Easy to apply online. Had a couple of phone calls to introduce who they were and what the services they provid. They also got in touch with the car garage to arrange payment for the car too. This meant I didn't have too process the transfer myself. Just pick up the car from the garage.

Quick smooth process, also offered much better rates than the car dealership.
