As always, the site is clear & easy
Communication with MyExpatTaxes now takes longer to get feedback and any general question leads to an option to pay a supplement (sometimes expensive) to get an answer. Which is so different than how it was before- I suppose the company has grown and this helps make a profit. I preferred feeling like the online help was part of the package and not a way to sell an additional package.

User friendly and affordable!

Easy to use. I tried attempting the forms without guidance and was quickly overwhelmed. This made it super simple.

MyExpatTaxes was the 4th software platform I tried This Year. The first two gave wildly different liabilities, the third didn’t include Form 1116, the Foreign Tax Credit, critical for US citizens living permanently abroad. I was told they could make it available for an additional $99 on top of their tax prep fee. I finally found MyExpatTaxes and the Base package had all the forms I needed. I'll return next year.

Excellent! Always easy and fast!

The software works great, it’s just very expensive :( Should be an option for students who are already paying international governments hand over foot in taxes (and none back home due to tax treaties) to receive some kind of discount. In other words I went through the whole process only to find I didn’t owe my home gov’t (a profound relief) all for the low low price of an arm and a leg from MyExpatTaxes 🤦

This was the first time using MyExpatTaxes. I thought it was going to be so difficult and overwhelming. But it was actually very easy to use. And going through this process with MyExpatTaxes was actually enjoyable because it put my mind at ease!

1st time to used this platform and it do excellent job, no hassle and it point you to right direction to maximize the proceedings and absolutely will recommend this to my peers next filing season.

Fast and efficient

Handy process but a bit expensive for 1 hour use of a web app....

It was easy to work through the questions, and to provide appropriate answers. Of course, it was very easy for me, since I have no income in the US, nor assets there, but nonethless, it was not difficult to understand what was needed to file a statement.

Makes a complex task easier. Forms that are comprehensive, but easy to fill in. Very helpful people to answer questions. Will use again.

Easy to use Q&A session makes filling in and submitting the 1040 very simple. Also easy to go back and review or edit entries.

The app simply did not work well. I wanted to review the document after filling it in. Every time I tried I got a blank page. So I sent it in and the IRS rejected it (an error in the spelling of my wife’s name). I had to get someone at your help desk to fix it. Even then, I did not get access to the document, which means I was never able to print it for my records. All in all, a most unpleasant experience.

The whole process took me less than 30 minutes. I’d say that was the easiest tax-filing experience I have ever had. Since I filed with MyExpatTaxes last year, almost everything was pre-filled. There are upgrade options available several times, which some may find obtrusive, but it was there in those moments where it may be necessary due to new or unique circumstances for the tax season. I simply considered the need and skipped through without any tricks or high pressure - very straightforward and intuitive. I will definitely be back next year. Thank you for an excellent experience.

Always a great experience. Can highly recommend MyExpat Taxes for anyone needing to file US taxes. Quick and easy process following user friendly prompts. Takes all of the anxiety out of filing. Can’t recommend enough 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
