If I could give a negative star
If I could give a negative star, I surely would. I had an out-of-state move from Arkansas to Florida. We moved on 1 February. My husband and I have been sleeping on a mattress on the floor still to this day. It’s the 22nd and I still do not have my truck. They said that they broke down in Oklahoma and then they broke down in Texas and now they won’t even tell me where my things are. We’ve paid them in full because they wouldn’t unload our first truck without paying them in full. This company is a joke. But it’s OK. We are going to sue them. They’ve already told me the stuff that they broke on the first truck wasn’t their fault and they broke over $2000 worth of things. If I could give negative stars, I would. I’m reporting to the Better Business Bureau and telling my attorney brother-in-law and my attorney brother.

Contracted and engaged MYMOVEPRICE for transport of apartment contents of 260 cu ft.from St Petersburg Fl to Allentown PA. On pickup the driver made fallacious claim the shipment measured 50% more. Because of timetable I accepted. When delivered, there was damaged furniture and boxes. One box was completely open and contents simply dump on a pile. There was a lost oak desk chair. total claim of $800 for losses and damage repairs submitted without response. Carrier failed to produce Bill of Lading. MyMovePrice verbally admitted that carrier was deficient. Have reached a dead end. AVOID using this
Don’t trust them!
This company truly deserves no stars. I'm telling you all, believe the 1-star reviews. My story is exactly the same.
We were quoted an awesome price, but then our price doubled once the drivers arrived.
My wife was on a last-minute hunt for a moving company to take our belongings from Florida to Texas. Upon speaking to Gabe, we received a nice quote for $2,178.00 and were so surprised. She even asked him what the catch was. He said there was no catch, and the only thing that could change the price would be if we had larger items than what he had listed. He then rushed us through the contract signing process. He also told us that we were getting a discount because they were headquartered in Fort Lauderdale and their trucks were there, obviously lying about the nature of their business. They are a only broker. They do not own their trucks, and you are likely to get whoever they can find to take the load on that day. Once you pay them, they are hands-off. After that, you have to deal with whichever moving company shows up. Then, you may get a different company to drop off your belongings as well.
Anyway, the next day the drivers showed up, and they were like, "Nope, this load will cost over $5,400." We were shocked and asked, "For what?" Everything we had was what we told Gabe. The only thing we forgot was our 75-inch TV. Everything else was broken down flat, and Gabe told us it shouldn’t take up much space. He even said he had overestimated the space so we would have extra room in case we forgot something.
The moving company tried to contact them to sort out the situation, and we tried to get ahold of them as well. When we finally reached them and tried to cancel, they told us our money was non-refundable and advised us to get rid of things we didn’t need to save on space.
Tony told my that they were working with the moving company to reduce the cubic feet rate for us. The moving guy, who was listening, mouthed to us, "He's lying." We knew this because the moving guy never left our side, so we knew they hadn’t spoken as yet. He also told us that the rate they were giving us was their typical rate, not one they had agreed upon with My Move Price. We decided we couldn’t proceed with the move at such a high price.
At this point, we had only one day to find a way to move our stuff. All night, my wife spoke to Tony. He basically told her to just get rid of the things we didn't really need. He was basically working to convince her to go through with the move. With few options left because we were in the 11th hour, we decided to downsize our belongings. We spent the entire evening getting rid of things we needed but could part with for the sake of saving money.
The next day, they sent different movers who quoted us $4,600+. So, we were back in the same predicament. We had to get rid of more stuff just to get the final price down to $4,026.80.
When we finally received our belongings, all of our larger furniture arrived damaged, most permanently. We decided to file a claim since Gabe told us we were covered up to $10,000. What we didn’t know was that it was only 60 cents per pound. Now, we are stuck with damaged furniture and can’t even claim a fraction of replacement cost.
There’s so much more to this story, but folks, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Those 5-star reviews are fake. They use unfair and deceptive practices to trick people like us who are in a bind.

We paid them a 1000$ deposit to move our property from Bozeman MT. To Port orange FL. They picked it up 8/18/24. The company they hired was handle with care moving and transportation. We paid 700$ when they loaded our stuff up. Today is 8/18/24 and all of a sudden no one knows where almost everything we own is. No one seems to care that our belongings have just vanished. I filed a complaint with the BBB. I’m getting ahold of the transportation department next. Any other suggestions?
They are really good they really are…
They are really good they really are helpful and great I love the way they handles items and stuff
Great reviews are company generated
Sister in law used them. Communication was spotty and upsell pressure. Stuff finally arrived, bed was missing a piece, but My advice: call a company that will visit your place and measure and help you determine square footage and number of boxes. Get a legitimate company’s contract and abide by it. All the above is my opinion.

I wished I had read all the complaints before signing…
I wished I had read all the complaints before I signed the contract and gave them a $600.00 deposit. My story is similar to the other posts. I needed to have 11 items shipped to Oklahoma. My Move Price gave me a quote of $1900. Paragraph 9 of their contract stated that " total cost will not exceed the estimated amount". They were sent pictures of the 11 items. When the 2 men arrived they claimed the items were more than the 286cu.ft and wanted and additional $3000. Bring the total to $4900 for 700 cu.ft. The 2 men came in a old unmarked truck. They placed a call to a women who supposedly was the dispatcher. I would not agree to the additional $3000. I spoke with Amanda and she refused to refund the $600. My Move Price refused to honor their contract.
Do not use this company.
Great ever than others
My Move Price is Dishonest
My Move Price conducts dishonest business practices that border on fraud. Do not use them or any other broker but contact a reputable moving company directly.
For a move from the Boston to the DC area I gave them an item list that included the exact dimensions and number items. The articles list, shown in attached pictures, is a screenshot from their estimate. An accurate estimate should have been straight-forward, and they estimated 404 cf for which they quoted $2,022. We agreed on a pickup date that we confirmed in another phone call 4 days before. They had promised a pickup date within a 3-day window. Upon their request I once again sent them the detailed packing list, along with photos of everything.
The movers showed up 5 days late. On a Friday, 5PM, a truck from "Johnny’z M&D llc", Chicago, IL, finally arrived with 2 movers. It was old and in such bad shape that it could not be parked backwards on my sloped driveway. Even though I had told them that there would be heavy items such as a 400 lb safe, they had no adequate trolleys, and the liftgate was not working. Moreover, the truck had an expired, temporary VA license plate.
This did not feel right, so, before loading, I showed the load to the foreman and asked him to confirm the quoted remaining payable price of $1,310, which he did. Then they loaded the truck, with my help as some items required 3 persons to lift.
When the loading was complete the foreman said that the actual volume was 800 cf, and he wanted to be paid $1,553.50 now and another $1,553.50 upon delivery, a total of $3,107. More than twice the estimate! They claim that “You had quite a bit more inventory that you had informed us of originally” even though the only additional item were a bicycle and a queen-bed head board, neither of which occupies much space, and at loading time there were only 30 boxes, not 35, and only one tool box was loaded. They also said that the fault laid with the broker and that this happens frequently. So they knew of these business practices but continued to work with My Move Price anyway. Standard operating procedure!
Per the My Move Price person who wrote the response below, the 2 African-American movers claim that I ”made several racist comments to them and then called the police because you felt uncomfortable and thought they weren't licensed.” The racist comments claim is false! While we did have an animated discussion I never said anything that any reasonable person would consider racist. However, I was very suspicious about the expired temporary license plate (who was I really dealing with?) and called the police, who confirmed their identities and were not going to let the truck proceed until it was properly registered. It turned out that they had proper registration all along, they had just not mounted it. Yet given the circumstances, I believe my suspicions were warranted.
At this point my options were to proceed with the move or have everything unloaded and find another mover. Like most people in my situation I had other commitments which made further delay very difficult, so I decided to proceed. They said they would arrive at the destination the next morning between 10AM and 12PM, which meant I had to be there as well. This forced me to drive to Maryland through the night with a 4hr motel stop, but at 9:30AM Saturday morning I did get to the destination. This turned out to be in vain; the movers did not arrive until 5PM. They unloaded, and the job was finally complete.
Since then we have had a discussion to “resolve the complaint,” code for what would it take so I would withdraw the review. They offered me a $500 rebate, which I refused. The statements in this review are facts, and it is only fair to warn the public so that they can avoid what I went through.
This appears to be how many brokers operate. Again, stay away from them, go directly to a reputable moving company.
Excellent Customer Service and Speed
Booked with this company for a move from Albany, NY down to Atlanta, GA. The customer service was outstanding throughout and the actual moving crew did a great job. Delivery in 3 days and everything reassembled and staged at the new home. Made my life easy, would contact them again if needed but hopefully I won’t be moving again anytime soon.

I wouldn’t recommend this company to my worse enemy. I’m paid $1728 for a move on Wednesday and to be delivered on Friday. They gave me a window, 1-5 and didn’t show up till 8:30, then came the hustle and all the BS. They were going to deliver on Friday for an additional $750, and once they showed up it turned out to be $900. Do yourself a favor, use anyone but these scammers!!!

My Move Price is the worst
My Move Price quoted low to get a deposit then 2 weeks before the move over doubled the price of the move even though I had less items than I originally told them. Do not deal with this company. They are liars and crooks. It is one of the biggest regrets of my life.

MMP moved us for the third time and as usual everything went as well as the others. We will never use another moving company again because we have previously done all the research and they have the best prices by far and after several moves they have done a very good job in all regards. Usually when you save this much money you don't get as good service, but the service we have received has been superb. Kristina is amazing and Tracie had been extremely helpful.
I recently had a highly disappointing…
I recently had a highly disappointing experience withMy Move Price that I feel compelled to share. Initially, I was quoted $1400 for a move, with a promised nurse discount, which seemed reasonable given the scope of my belongings—a 2-bedroom apartment comprising 20 boxes, 1 bar table, 4-5 totes, 20 bags, 3 TVs, and miscellaneous items. The representative assured me that the bags wouldn't significantly impact the cost.
However, things took a drastic turn when I received an email just two days after signing the agreement, stating that bags weren't acceptable for the move. This sudden change left me feeling frustrated and misled, especially as a single mother of three who relies on clear and reliable communication.
Upon reaching out to the broker, it became apparent that they didn't even have their own trucks—a concerning revelation in itself. The response I received was dismissive, blaming the situation on a "miscommunication." To add insult to injury, I was informed that my $400 deposit was nonrefundable.
In a subsequent conversation with a representative named Gabe, I was shocked to learn that the new estimate for my move had skyrocketed to $3200—an additional $1800 from the original quote. Despite expressing my dissatisfaction and concerns over the steep increase, I was met with a cancellation offer that allowed me to keep a credit with the company.
Needless to say, this experience has left a sour taste in my mouth. It's incredibly disheartening to deal with a company that not only fails to uphold their initial pricing agreements but also demonstrates a lack of accountability for their mistakes. As someone who explicitly communicated the details of my belongings, only to be met with unexpected charges and excuses, I urge others to exercise caution when considering My Move Price for their moving needs.
In conclusion, my advice to anyone considering My Move Price is to proceed with extreme caution and thoroughly review all terms and agreements before committing. The risk of unreliable pricing and poor communication is simply not worth the headache and financial strain it can cause, especially during already stressful times like moving.
Tony and Gabe promised me a refund if I take down the review. He wants me to put up a positive one.
Negative stars
Negative stars, signed a contract with these people to move me from Denver to Kansas City for $1700, the man on the phone Charles Burns told me it was his truck, his men, all employed with him for 5+ years. Once I paid a $600 deposit and signed the contract, until my move (two weeks later) they were completely unreachable, Kristina and Tracy never once answered a call. Day of move the men show up and tell me they can’t load any of my things until I pay them $4,380. When I’m asking about the drive to Missouri they tell me no, they are driving my items to a warehouse and another truck will take it from there. Cancelled the move, they leave, come back and knock and tell me “we called the company we are good for the price they told you” absolutely not. These people take advantage of you in a stressful time and scam you out of your money. Would honestly rather lose the $600 than lose all of my belongings. Don’t give these people your money.
I have always
I have always used My Move Price since my college days and they have always had the cheapest prices and do a really good job. This past December I moved my family again and everything went great a usual. Kristina is always so helpful with anything I need and I have taken advantage of that lol. Thank you Kristina for just being awesome
Perfect move
Perfect move. I have never said that before. You guys really do take pride in what you do. Thank you. Five stars all day long
