Für mich passt n8n perfekt. Ich nutze es mehrfach die Woche, vor allem für Marketing Themen.

Credential connections to services like firestore expire quickly, making requests start failing. It is very hard to debug problems since it's all UI. There is no support for users who don't pay for the most expensive plans. If you can code do these automations yourself because you'll save time.

I joined the n8n.io affiliate program on PartnerStack, and my valid commission has been withheld for 2 months. They asked me to prove my traffic, which I did. However, after that, I received no further response. I have tried multiple channels to contact them, but got no reply.
I feel like I’ve been scammed. Withholding commission without any notice or specific reason is extremely unprofessional and unreasonable — especially for a fast-growing company like n8n.
I advise others to think carefully before using n8n.

Das Unternehmen interessiert sich für Neukunden / Interessenten gar nicht. Versuche schon seit über eine Woche eine Antwort vom Vertrieb zu erhalten - sie lesen die Mails gar nicht, aber schicken absolut unpassende, nach einem Zufallsprinzip ausgewählte Sätze. Antwortzeit: 3-4 Tage pro Mail. Nach so einem "Service" haben wir keine Lust mehr das Produkt überhaupt zu testen.

The most buggy website that I have used in my life. I had problems with creating a filling out the form after 6 months of using it perfectly without any issues.

Also sometimes I get rate limited, and it is on Google. It is not our issue. It just shows bugs that later disappear without me doing anything.

Random account deletion - lost all my content, no support at all. Overall very hard to use very bad support very bad product.

Yes, it is a good product but, you will lose your unlimited workflow executions as soon as you buy a business or enterprise license. You will then be limited to 480k executions, and that for paying eight thousand dollars for the smallest self-hosted license.

I am a non-technical mature adult learning about LLM and AI for the first time. At 6 months into my AI Automation learning journey, I must say I am blown away at how convenient it is to learn agentic automation using n8n workflows. It truly is exciting how user friendly n8n has designed the platform and it makes feel like a pro! Lol!😄😄🤩

The platform itself is generally quite good. However, the support experience leaves a lot to be desired. What's worse is the complete lack of response from their sales team. We’ve been actively trying to give them more money for weeks and haven’t been able to get anyone to follow up. It’s frustrating to hit a wall when you’re trying to scale usage and invest further in the product.

At some point, you’ve got to prioritize paying customers who want to expand their service. Get it together.

I'm an experienced Make.com developer, but in December I got a request to build an executive agent with voice AI capabilities—and that project led me to try n8n for the first time. I was blown away.

Yes, it’s a bit more technical than platforms like Make, but the trade-off is absolutely worth it. The customizability and control you gain is on another level. You can write JavaScript functions directly in your workflows, create custom nodes, and implement highly complex logic without friction.

What really sets n8n apart is that it’s open source and fully self-hostable, which gives us full control over the infrastructure and data privacy—a must for some projects.

The platform handles advanced conditional logic and branching natively, something many other tools struggle with. For developers or power users who need flexibility and want to build without artificial limits, n8n is an unbeatable choice.

Amazing. 10-20x cheaper than Zapier for my use case. Love it! My only feedback is the GHL integration needs work, I had to use custom HTTP request

Really poor sales interview experience with the hiring manager.

Blanked for a month after being accelerated through 2 stages, to then receive rejection once I had to chase twice, with the talent team being the only ones gracious enough to reply.

Poor indeed, and needs serious improvement.

I applied for a role a couple of days ago and got a generic response telling me that I was a great candidate but that they were going ahead with someone else.

They also asked to stay in touch for future opportunities. However, the email was noreply at candidates.workablemail.com, so there was no way to confirm or reject this request, nor get more concrete feedback.

Grundsätzlich ist N8N eine sehr viel bessere Alternative zu Zapier, IFTTT, Make.com und Co. und kann ich grundsätzlich jedem empfehlen, der schnell mal etwas prototypen oder automatisieren möchte.

Jedoch finde ich es verwerflich, ständig neue Funktionen, die teilweise durchaus wichtig wären, in einem Open Source ähnlichen Produkt hinter ne Paywall zu setzen.

Oder bestehende Nodes wie z.B. Telegram, plötzlich und ohne Update des Containers, mit Werbung zu versehen. Plötzlich schreib der Bot, dann eine Werbung für n8n in die Nachricht mit rein. Sowas ist fernab jeglicher Logik und sehe ich mehr als kritisch an.

Diese Vorfälle haben dazu geführt, dass ich n8n nur noch nutze, wenn es auf die Schnelle nicht anders möglich ist und bestehende Automatisierungen nach und nach, durch eigens entwickelte Software, zu ersetzen. Denn so ein unvorhersehbares Verhalten ist inakzeptabel!
