Trek to Everest Base Camp in December was an absolutely unforgettable experience. While it’s the off-season, it turned out to be the perfect time to do this trek for less crowds, clear mountain views, good weather and a peaceful atmosphere that made the journey feel truly special.

The weather was cold, especially in the mornings and nights, but as long as you have proper gear it was completely manageable.

The teahouses were quieter than usual, which meant better service, we had a fired in the dinning hall by Yak Poo, and some wood to make cozy evenings.
Reaching Everest Base Camp itself was an emotional and proud moment. Standing there in winter, surrounded by towering peaks and silence, was something I’ll never forget.

I would highly recommend the Everest Base Camp trek in December to anyone who enjoys adventure, doesn’t mind the cold, and wants a more peaceful and authentic Himalayan experience. It’s challenging, rewarding, and truly once in a lifetime.

My guide Gore was very professional and helpful. He was easy to talk to and very friendly. I got picked up at the airport and taken to my hotel. We stayed in good lodges throughout our 12 day trek to base camp. All food is included except beverages and extra snacks. Beverage included for breakfast. I went during mansoon season but only 1 rainy day during the trek, rain everyday but in the afternoon and evening after you arrive at lodge. Bishnu gave me a hotel night at a good hotel in Thamel when I came back. Everyone was very professional, kind and helpful. They even brought some items I did not take with me to the hotel. I would recommend this company and ask for Gore as your guide. Thank you for the wonderful experience

Trekking to Everest Base Camp was a dream come true—and as a first-time high-altitude trekker, I couldn’t have asked for a better team to guide me through it. From start to finish, Nepal Hiking Adventure Company went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. They were attentive, organized, and truly cared about my experience.

A huge shoutout to Ram, my guide, and Kieran and Binod, my amazing porters. Their support, knowledge, and kindness made all the difference. I never once felt uneasy despite the elevation and the challenges along the way—Ram, Kieran, and Binod were there every step, making me feel comfortable, prepared, and motivated.

Every evening, Ram would walk us through the plan for the next day and give helpful insights into how the overall journey was progressing. That nightly debrief became something I looked forward to—it kept me grounded and informed. It also gave our group a chance to bond, and by the end of the trek, I felt a deep connection not only to my guides but also to the fellow adventurers I met through this experience.

On November 20th, my friend (who is Taiwanese) and I (a Korean) had an unforgettable day tour with our guide, Sanjay Lamsal.

The day started in Nagarkot, a stunning place known for its breathtaking sunrise views. From there, we began our hike at Telkot, enjoying the peaceful and beautiful natural surroundings. The hike ended at Changu Narayan Temple, a remarkable UNESCO World Heritage site rich in history and culture. To finish off, we drove through Bhaktapur village, soaking in the charm of this traditional area.

Sanjay Lamsal was an exceptional guide. He was always smiling, kind, and incredibly accommodating. During the hike, we enjoyed taking photos and recording videos, and Sanjay made sure to match our pace, patiently waiting for us and creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. Thanks to his thoughtfulness, we were able to fully enjoy every moment of the journey.

This one-day tour was truly a special and delightful experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Nepal!🇳🇵

This was the absolute highlight of our Nepal experience. We went with our guide Sanjay on a trekking tour to Poon Hill. The hike was challenging at times but the view was absolute worth it. Sanjay was the absolute best and helped us with everything. Thank you!

We spent an amazing two weeks completing the trek to EBC. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide; Raj was patient, knowledgeable and made our trip very enjoyable. Our porters Hermonte and Rosen were also incredible and so friendly. Bisnu responded to queries and questions promptly.
We had some trouble flying in and out of Lukla due to weather conditions but Nepal Hiking Company did everything in their power to ensure we travelled safely and made our international flights on time.
Overall, I would strongly recommend Nepal Hiking Company and would book with them again for future tours!

We had a fantastic time doing the three day Poon Hill trek. Making the reservation was relatively easy. There was some confusion about luggage storage but that didn't detract from our experience. Big thanks to our guide Gore who made the trek a wonderful experience. The trek itself is a good work out, the last day in particular can be challenging on the legs but the views from the top are worth it.

I cannot express how glad I am for booking with Nepal Hiking Adventure compared to other companies I looked into. To start, I was very happy with the small group size (only 3 of us). Our guide, Kamel was able to be attentive to our needs and give specific attention to each of us. Having a small group also gave us lots of flexibility and we were able to change our trip based on a last-minute group decision.
Every part of the trip was taken care of from airport pickup to all hotels and meals booked. The logistics were truly out of my hands. I had many, many custom-tailored problems and wants that that the company took personally and were able to help me in every case. The communication was 10/10.
It's a risky thing to book a company for 12 days straight. I am so relieved I made the right choice and picked these guys.

I took this trip with my son's partner and we had a fantastic time. The views of Everest BC and the mountains are wonderful of course as was the organisation by Nepal Hiking Adventure. It was very smooth end to end, the hotel pickup was on time and we were taken right to the office of the helicopter operator. The pilot was very good, he spoke excellent english and gave comprehensive information about both safety and tourist info. I totally recommend this trip.

We went on this trip as a group of 11 friends and were joined by the wonderful Ram and Raj, who were exceptional guides.

Hiking to Everest Base Camp can be challenging, but Ram and Raj were always so positive, supported anyone who felt unwell and had a great sense of humour!

The trek itself was well-organised, with Bishnu on hand to answer any questions before the trip and Ram and Raj available to help throughout. We stayed in tea houses all the way up (twin rooms) and all food (apart from snacks) was included along with internal flights, park fees and of course the guide and porter services (although do tip well, they deserve it!). I thought it was excellent value for money!

I was happy to support a local Nepalese company with this trek and can 100% recommend them 👍

This team was the most welcoming, warm and helpful set of people on the planet. They were responsive, adaptable and fantastically organised. They set up our entire trip and we had to worry about nothing except enjoying ourselves. Will use them again when back in Nepal

I visit Nepal 2 years ago whit this company and i cant be more satisfied,all was perfect without problems and when i left Nepal i have new friends in may heart,and i visit Nepal again and sure whit this company again we have nice time,ebc and tree passes trek was amazing all without problems,the only problem was that there were no fligts from LUKLA for 2 days because bad weather,ofcourse company solved all and we get safely to Kathmandu., but ofcourse this is not company fault ,it is nature...and nobody can change this...and i know people sometimes dont understend this... so i recommend everyone when planning trek to get few days extra ,to avoid stress and spoil such a wonderful trek...Ram,Rupi,Bishnu,Sanjay thank you for nice memories for your friendship

I would 100% recommend Nepal hiking Adventure Compay to anyone looking to do a trek in Nepal. My girlfriend and I wanted to combine 2 treks, Annapurna Base Camp and Mardi Himal, and the team prepared a custom itinerary for us and our schedule of 11 days. From the very beginning, our guide Ram and porter Rupesh were both very friendly and showed a genuine interest in showing us Nepalese culture. Ram is a very experienced guide and this showed through his extensive trekking knowledge and experiences that he shared with us. Rupesh was also there to lend a helping hand and never without a smile! They were both very organized and kept us updated with the routes we were taking and what to expect on each day of the trek. On top of their professionalism, they are both genuinely kind people so it was a pleasure to spend 11 days in their company.

The trek itself was beautiful and I'm glad that we combined both ABC and Mardi Himal as they both offer slightly different experiences/views of the same area but I couldn't have chosen between the 2.

I can't think of a single fault or negative with the experience so I would recommend them without hesitation to anyone looking to do a trek in Nepal.

Had an awesome experience taking the helicopter tour. Stayed for a couple of hours at Everest View Hotel and had breakfast there. What a privilege to have breakfast with the back drop of Mount Everest!

The booking experience was very smooth. Bishnu was amazing in responding to questions prior to the tour. On the day of the tour, I was picked up from the hotel by Bishnu and after the tour was dropped back to the hotel. A once in a lifetime experience getting to such close proximity of Mount Everest. Thank you Bishnu and the Nepal Hiking Adventure Company for making this dream of mine a reality.

Would recommend this tour to anyone. Only wish there was EBC landing….maybe next time they allow landing at EBC.

I went to 3-day Poon Hill trek solely. The guide is caring and helpful. I joined 3-day program since I don’t have enough time. But I think 4 days trekking course will be better! I strongly recommend this to all of you as the first time Poon Hill trekking experience.

We couldn't have asked for a better experience on our trek. The views and surroundings were indescribable. Each village we stayed in had it's own charming culture. We really felt welcomed by each community and thoroughly enjoyed their local food and wine. Our guide, Kamal, was one of a kind. He was a really warm and generous guy who we loved spending our 5 days with and were sad to say goodbye to on the last day. Overall, the company was easy to book through and deal with. The trek was well organised, with each day having a nice mix of walking and relaxing, so it was suitable for all abilities. I did the 15-day Nepal Everest Base Camp Trekking on October 2023 (high season!) and joined this group with other 9 amazing people. From the beginning, Bishnu was very thoughtful and answered all my questions. Also, he helped me in getting prepared for the trip, telling me what I should expect, what I should take with me and the risks that I would be dealing with.

Upon arrival, I got airport pick-up and a good reception at the hotel. During the trip, our group got assistance from two guides, Ram Krishna and Raj. They are not only great people, but they are also very knowledgeable on everything, taking care of our group and keeping us safe at all times.

I completed the EBC Trek with Nepal Hiking Adventure and I couldn't recommend them enough. It was a brilliant experience and I was very well looked after by Bishnu and my guide, Prakash.
