Very disappointed in the final outcome, first point of call was very promising, the surveyor was very pleasant and knowledgeable, the company (Nexcore Contractors Ltd) seemed very professional, producing detailed quotation paperwork. Day 1 of the work, and only 1 guy arrived, in a car, 2nd guy arrived late morning and left again early afternoon. On the second day the 1st guy arrived early, again in a car, on his own and told me he had to leave early, not a good start. 12 large bags of removed foam from my loft were left in my rear garden, because again no van to take it away. The following day 2 guys arrived, in a car, and finished off the job. Personally I’m not sure if everything was completed, roof timbers were to be treated as part of the contract, well the level of liquid in the spray bottle didn’t change much, if any, and he was in the loft for less than 10 minutes, there were a lot of timbers to spray, with all the completion paperwork emailed to me, the final payment was requested, I was promised the bags of foam would be collected in 2 days time, this is when the problems started. They weren’t collected.
When contacting the office, all calls went to voicemail. Before final payment, they would get back to me almost immediately, after final payment, calls were never returned, emails never answered. Over a week passed with no collection of the bags of foam, my daughter got the surveyor involved and he got the collection sorted. In conclusion, is a 10 year warranty worth the paper it’s written on if they refuse to return your calls. I could go on about the tidiness of the loft when they finished, but you have read enough, and I want to move on and forget about Nexcore Contractors Ltd. Will I use them again- NO! Do I recommend Nexcore Contractors Ltd- NO!

A mixed review:
Recently my parents had foam insulation removed from their loft. The workmen arrived in sweltering heat and did the work over a few days. They seemed polite and hardworking. All seemed to go well!!
However several weeks after completion there are still about 10 bin bags of insulation not disposed of down the side of the house blocking entry to the garden and bins, the loft has been left in a mess and my parents are unable to contact the company to dispose of the remaining foam and discus any issues they need clearing up.
Really annoying as it all started so well, feel like we have been scammed.

Nexcore make it almost impossible to have any contact with their HQ. E-mail's go unanswered and telephone calls are to an answering machine always stating that they will get back to you. The foam removal team were supposed to be wearing PPE due to some previous fibre glass insulation but were dressed in jeans and t-shirts. The bags were not securely sealed and they paid a "back hander" to a local scrap dealer to take it away. They never arrived on time once claiming to have been caught in traffic caused by accidents, roadworks and a family member falling ill. The extreme of this was their roofing expert who was first class in his trade skills and dealing with a client. The company tried to pull a fast one on me by demanding an extra £1000 after the final payment had been paid. This was not paid and in return they have now refused to pay me the £250 owed as part of the poor service with the non attendance of the foam removers. In addition to this some sealed boxes in my attic had been opened. I would employ the roofing expert knowing that the job would be a first class one. As for the manager at their HQ who dealt with my problems knows every trick in the book and that boils down to one simple thing, the company is lying to give themselves some sort of credibility. My bank contacted me on three occasions to warn me that I might be subject to a scam. Thank goodness I will never require this company to do anymore foam removal work for me in the future..

My previous roof insulation had to be removed as it was done very badly by a team whom I think were contractors. I therefore asked if the Nexcore team were permanent staff I was assured they were and that they would leave everything in good condition.

However the team came from Bournemouth, nearly 100 miles away, arrived on site around 1030 and started packing up at 3pm so that they could leave by 3:30. They gave every appearance of being contactors rather than permanent staff, arriving everyday in different hired vans rather than company vans.

As I am allergic to dust I was reluctant to go up and check properly before they left and foolishly accepted their word that everything had been tidied up when they finished. It was only later that I realised that they had left my loft in a mess. They hadn't removed wood with nails sticking out from shelving they said needed to be removed, they'd left water bottles they brought and everything was filthy. Nothing was where it was originally and I now have a major task to clean everything.

If you use this company be warned and get an agreement on the timings and condition that everything is left.

18/6/26 - getting an apology isn't really enough - I'm having to pay someone else to clear the mess in the loft. Old shelving taken apart and left with nails sticking up etc. I had no idea when we agreed the work that they would want to remove some of the shelving. It's now dangerous.

The company was chosen by a surveyor who identified problem foam insulation in my roof that was causing damp in the rafters. Having a bungalow with a large roof expanse enabled the company to quote as a industrial site reducing the cost. The team who came worked hard in difficult cramped conditions and removed the foam. Sadly part of my property was built in the 1940's and when the foam was removed it came away with the original bitumen paper lining. This part of the roof required relining from the inside - cheaper than a new roof, but still an unwelcome extra cost. Both teams worked hard, were polite and cleaned up well each night. My only serious gripe is with the Government who advocated this form of insulation even giving "Green Grant" to install it. Of course now it been proven to be dangerous for UK roofs preventing house sales and mortgages the Government is washing its hands of any responsibility.

Pleased with the service. The staff didn't stop at all. Due to traffic and accidents they were late starting but kept me informed on the start time and once here they certainly worked non stop to make up the time. The outcome of the work and the cleanliness of the area was excellent. The increase of the cost to me due to the surveyor initially mistakewas regrettable. I would personally recommend Nexcore to remove insulation from a loft.

The company was very helpful, the two men who came were very pleasant and worked efficiently and tidilly.

Arrived early to start job. Friendly cheerful and efficient. Explained everything that was needed and how it would be handled. Completed job within 4 hrs as expected.
Explained a visit would be made approximately every 6 months to check filter and replace if needed.

Great work, quick, professional and very reasonably priced. Would 100% recommend
