To be honest and frank, I love Ngrok and I'd rate it 4 stars. It is free, no limits, you can host on it whatever you want. I use Ngrok to self-host Stoat. However, the thing that bothers me is that Ngrok doesn't keep you 24/7 cloud online, instead you should have a computer always on and has powershell, for that thing I hope Ngrok adds the feature that you can control it cloudly and always online WITHOUT requiring a device.

Amazing company we have been using them to connect our pve back end to utilize convoypanel with a secure ssh allowing a bridge off to all clients to easily and securely access their SSH via our site. ( we had hiccups where we were originally charged for 4 endpoints but was sorted out do to a issue on backend and them being kind enough to resolve the issue ) highly suggest using them if you want a secure means of tunneling SSH or more. Oh did i mention they offer OIDC and more OwO

Their support is a joke, first of all they only have one email id to contact support, in that if you send an email that will take anywhere between 7-10 days, if you have anything important running, ngrok is not the one to pick, even if you wait for that long they dont give a damn, when i had an issue i clearly documented everything that they need to solve the issue but what i got in return is along the lines of "can be fixed but i wont help you because you said we are late". i will proceed to complain on consumer forums about this. i did not pay for pro subscription to get talked down.

Billing is a nightmare. I kept getting billed tunnels I had no idea where they came from. No ability to restrict tunnels set-up, so expect unexpected items in your monthly bills. Only way to stop the extra costs is to delete and even that's broken. Extend past the free tier at your peril.

They are supporting scammers. Scammers are using their servers to scam peoples. They create phishing page and send links via sms.

Even after complaint ngrok is not taking any action against scammers. They just care about payments from scammer.

Unclear billing process, advertised as per month but then charged per year.
Unclear feature distribution between account levels, seemingly basic features locked behind higher tiers.
Poor quality installation documentation for linux, specifically ARM and ARM64.
