Where my package

I'm only giving 3 stars because I can't find where my package is. It was supposed to be delivered yesterday, but I understand that there's a lot going on before Christmas.

First class service

First class service. The courier was well mannered and pleasant.
I was kept up to speed with the progress of the delivery and was fit to see who signed for it.
Delivery made on time also

Do not use!!!

Absolute horrendous company. My item turned up damaged beyond repair. I submitted all evidence and fedex shut it down. NI parcels refused to appeal for me or try to back me in any way. They just were not interested, probably because of the extra work. Will never use them again. What's the point of paying for insurance cover when its actually needed and they still don't do any thing. I would strongly advise to avoid this company .

In reply to the idiotic response below. It wasn't from Netherlands it was from Poland....And the mark was literally a slight paint defect less than half a nail length which he had told me in messages but I had missed. The main damage on the front of the tank and the bent metal was Not present before he sent it as he did a video walk round with me and send multiple pictures...BUT fedex and your response was because I made a mistake about the slight paint defect the other damage MUST have already existed which it didn't!!! It also states even though we can't see it any in of the before pictures it must have been there. I also wasn't claiming for the mark on the tank. If you look at the emails I sent , I sent the value of the front part that needed to be replaced, but you tried to claim for more than I asked which probably attributed to fedex trying harder to knock me back. So from start to finish this is your fault and you have left me seriously out of pocket because of your shoddy handling of the situation trying to place blame anywhere but yourselves

Hi Neil, thank you for your review and for using NI Parcels. We can see you sent an item from Poland to the UK which was delivered on time on the 6th of November.

You contacted NI Parcels about damage to internal contents and our team did process your claim correctly. The courier in this instance found that there was insufficient evidence to substantiate the damage to the contents and unfortunately your claim was rejected.

Our team will always want to correctly process any claim and it is very rare for claims to be rejected and this was definitely not because of any extra work required.

One instance of the damage being claimed for was found to exist in images taken before the item was shipped to you, which confirms that this particular damage was present prior to transit and therefore cannot be attributed to the courier in this instance.

We are sorry again for this as it is very rare for items to be damaged as long as they are well packaged and protected for transit inside a couriers network.

There was no ‘expert advice’ provided

NI Parcels website says “Get expert advice and support to ensure your packages clear customs smoothly and efficiently”. I have never posted a parcel that has had to go through customs before and therefore I had hoped that I would have received said support.

Instead, although I explained what was being sent on the on-line form that I completed at time of payment, before my parcel was delivered, I received a text from FedEx who NI Parcels had used, saying that I was being charged another £41. I contacted NI parcels who then replied with very specific information about what was needed, so I can only assume that they knew exactly what I needed to provide and just never bothered to tell me until I was being charged by FedEx. I immediately passed this information on to them that day, but this obviously wasn’t passed on as FedEx then took the money from my account.

The parcel was also a week late.

When I complained to NI Parcels the company explained that the ‘website statement about providing “expert advice and support” refers to the help we offer during the booking and tracking process, and to the customs documentation guidance made available on our platform and through our team.’

However, I received no advice or support at any stage, and they did not pass on the information I provided to them, later in the process.

They were at all times uninterested in the extra charges, which I had not been expecting and had to pay - had I known the total cost of the whole process, I would not have gone ahead with it as it far exceeded the value of the parcel.

I would suggest you read the small print before using them.

I would not recommend them and certainly won’t be using them again.

In reply to the response from NI Parcels below, you say ‘Ni Parcels can assist and give any customer general advice about their parcels’ but the whole point is that YOU DIDN’T. You say ‘Our team have been in touch with you about the customs charges and explained this in full.’ I was given no help whatsoever until AFTER I had contacted you asking why I was being asked for extra money. I did initially think you must have passed my bank details to FedEx as I couldn’t understand how they were able to take money from my account but you can clearly see that I removed this and have not raised it in this review, so I’m unsure why you have chosen to bring this up!

I arranged for an old personal kindle to be delivered back to the uk and it has cost me almost £70, so you can understand why an offer of £7 from yourselves did not feel like you were remotely interested in my complaint.

Finally, if you want to be pedantic about dates, it was due 1st Oct and arrived 7th so ok, 4 working days; however at no point did you contact me to explain it was delayed or reassure me it was definitely on its way. However, my complaint was never about any delay but the lack of advice and support. I received neither until I contacted you to ask why I was being charged more. Yes I see now that I should have checked your small print more, but your website promised ‘expert advice & support’ which I took at face value.

Hi Tracey, thank you for your review and for using NI Parcels. We can see that you sent a parcel from Spain to the UK. The original expected delivery date was the 2nd of October and this was safely delivered on the 7th of October (three working days later than expected, not a week).

Since the UK has left the EU, customs clearance is mandatory for all parcels coming from the EU.
NI Parcels can assist and give any customer general advice about their parcels and information about customs however customs are a governmental agency and can request additional documentation to ensure they are satisfied that your parcel can be imported or exported.

This is the same for any company you may choose to send parcels as no company can influence customs or their decisions and there may be customs charges for your parcel. You are advised of this during booking as we do display this to all customers sending on routes where customs clearance is required.

Our team have been in touch with you about the customs charges and explained this in full. At one point you accused NI Parcels of giving your card details to other parties which was categorically untrue as you did not pay for your order by card.

We are sorry for your experience however this was investigated in full and despite the delay being caused by customs, you were offered a 25% refund as a goodwill gesture from NI Parcels which was refused.

What a great service!

What a great service! Very easy to navigate the site. Got a quote immediately, chose my courier which was DPD. Paid and received a confirmation by email. My package was collected the following day and I received it less than 24 hours later. I would recommend 100%
