After falling ill last year I switched to these from smoking. Several times in the last year they come out dark brown and orange, not clear like they should be. Taste is horrible. Even people around me are like what's that horrid smell. Starts making me choke and cough and hurts my throat, burns my insides. Last 3 packs bought back to back have been this way and bought 2 different places. The price has went up. One place they'll be $12, another $16. They are leaking more and more, even with new devices. The clear ones are fine but you never know when your going to get a clear box. Now that I've read other reviews, I see I'm not the only one. Classic tobacco. I buy a box every 2 days, I've waisted so much money and I see nothing being done about it. This is not due to them being on store shelves too long either, they run out of this kind a lot. It's like anytime anyone has a complaint a computer generated response greets us. Ridiculous guess you guys will be the next Jewel.

What the heck is going on

What the heck is going on? Every pack of pods I have bought in the last month are straight AWFUL. Such a waste of money, I can’t even use a full pod. They are burnt and taste like straight garbage. I’m definitely switching to something else because the amount of money wasted is ridiculous.

Bye from two more loyal customers

It's so disheartening to read all of these reviews and to realize that Njoy has done NOTHING to fix these issues or to keep their customer base. In October, I lost a significant amount of money on 8 packs of Menthol vape pods that I'd bought for a trip. They were dark orange and had a vile flavor and smell. I contacted NJoy & the rep seemed shocked I was having this issue. She said to mail her the pods & the lab would look at them. She said I'd get a refund and a $25 AmEx gift card for my trouble. Several weeks later, I got a check in the mail for less than the cost of ONE pack of pods & no gift card. I found that very unprofessional & disappointing, but my husband and I continued to use the products. Now I can see the bad batches are back. No longer will such a useless company receive our hard-earned money! We threw all of our stuff directly into the trash where it belongs. Peace out Njoy! ✌️

100 to 0 real quick 👎👎👎

If I could give a zero star rating I would. I have been using NJOY products for a few years now. The pods used to always be pristine. Now, every single pack of pods I buy are DARK brown, taste BURNT, and smell AWFUL, fresh out the pack (no matter what vendor I get them from)!! And for about $13 a pack too?! It’s ridiculous. I am switching to a different, more reliable vape brand. I have never, until lately, had such a horrible and reoccurring problem with them like this. And don’t even get me started on the customer service/return process (which is basically just playing phone tag with an automated system). Getting a refund isn’t even worth it. Just switch to an alternative brand. For a company whose goal is to ween people OFF of cigarettes, they have made me want to buy a pack more than anything in the world!

Bad company pods are not good

Bad company pods are not good. I bought four and non of the four worked. They burn out with half of the liquid still inside. Not worth the money. They do not refund you and the call number is a joke. Class action law suit should be started.

I have returned around 30 pods in the…

I have returned around 30 pods in the past few months. Same as many of you, I started paying attention and noticed that the liquid was too dark. After a couple returns, I switched merchants and that worked for about a month. Then it was the same thing. Each time, I’ve written to Njoy requesting a refund. Each time, I have to state multiple times that I don’t have a printer and need to be mailed a return label. Now, they’re auto reply email tells me I have to return the pods at the post office, face to face, with photo ID. Since it’s impossible for me to get to the post office when they’re open, I just get to take the hit and lose the money. It’s horrible. Every reply from the company says to contact them and they’ll be happy to issue a refund. The process it takes on the CONSUMER’S end is ridiculous, and it’s not worth the hassle. Njoy continues to manufacture and distribute dangerous, sub-par pods with the full knowledge that most will not have the time, energy, or resources to fight back. Yes, I CHOSE this product. But I chose it years ago when this wasn’t an issue (in my experience). I raved about the pods to my friends who vaped, and some even switched. Njoy - this is the new tobacco market. Take accountability, and take care of your customers. We miss the crisp, strong throat hit that mimics the “real thing” better than most. This was the pod that helped me quit smoking when I wasn’t even trying. I stopped liking the taste of cigarettes, and found myself vaping after smoking half a cigarette, then vaping instead of a cigarette. Bring those pods back.

I've been through 4 packs this week only ending up using one of them the rest dark liquid that is fowl . There good when they are good but it's just not worth the money for a hit or miss. You end up paying twice as much in the end.

Bad brown pods are back again.

Had an issue with brown pods for a while so I complained to NJOY. They wanted a laundry list of info just to get a refund...no thanks. Few weeks go by and my area is back selling the clear color pods that are good, until tonight. Went put to buy 2 more packages and wind up getting the brown color crap pods again. I'm fed up about this company. I'm switching to a comparable brand starting tomorrow. I hope they stop taking their customers for granted soon.

Burnt Pods. Waste of money.

Pods are burnt. Upon opening a package, you can immediately see the liquid is brown/orange instead of its usual clear. I don't know what they are doing wrong, but this is a waste of money. It's so disgusting I threw my pods away immediately. There are better brands available.

I'm so glad to hear that this is an actual problem that other people are experiencing, but disgusted at the same time!! I have got maybe 2 or 3 good packs (clear) of menthol pods in the past two months!! All of the rest have been this orange/brown color and have tasted burnt straight out of the package, on top of that some of them have completely stopped hitting less than halfway through the pod. I think the color change is just oxidation caused by the nicotine reacting to light/oxygen exposure, but this is clearly a failure on the company's end to properly regulate their product quality.

This is the first time I bought 4 packs…

This is the first time I bought 4 packs at one time. 3 out 4 packs of the menthol pods had brown liquid and taste burnt. I contact customer service and they say they are having trouble verifying my age. I told them id send them a pick of my id. So most likely I'm out the money and the pods. I'm switching from smoking to vaping I need those pods I can't just go buy more I only have so much money a week for my nicotine habit not happy at all.

NJOY NEEDS TO LISTEN TO THEIR CONSUMERS

I have been using the NJOY Ace for 3 years now. I quit smoking cigarettes with this and it had the best tasting tobacco flavor I could find as far as gas station vapes. The device itself is very convenient with the USB charging cable and the battery was always long lasting. Over the past couple months I have been getting horrible pods. Leaking in package, burning taste after not even a day on a brand new pod and the liquid is dark orange/brown. It was far and few between at first then it became almost every pack I bought. I normally frequent the same store for them so I thought maybe they got a bad batch. I tried multiple different stores and within the past few weeks all of the pods I have bought have been like this. I even bought a whole new device thinking that may be my issue. Not until a few days ago when I decided to research the issue did I find this is happening everywhere. This is absolutely ridiculous. I have wasted so much money on pods only for them to end up being thrown away basically brand new. I emailed the company and they want receipts and my social. I never keep receipts for this item(who does?!) and I am not giving my social. I absolutely have loved the NJOY Ace and I do hope the company sees what a problem this is and does something to fix it. Until then I bought a VUSE and will be using it.

The fall of Njoy

Just like the reviews before me, I've been using Njoy for years. There have been isolated incidents over the years (burnt pod here, leaking juice in packaging there) but I've never had a major problem from them. The last 3 packs of pods I bought have been burnt. Now, I'm balling on a budget and the fact that I've now wasted that much money and I haven't budgeted for more is a problem. 2 months ago, I recommended this product to anyone who would listen, now I'm about ready to throw away my devices and quick vaping cold turkey. Do better, Njoy.

After having the same experience with the orange/burnt pods the last few months as everyone else. I have been using Njoy for 2 years now. I have found that if the number on the side of the box starts with 2, then it’s a good pack of pods (regular clearish green color) and if the number starts with a 1, it’s 100% going to be a bad box with orange burnt liquid. Njoy knows exactly what they are doing by selling the clearly defective pods along with the good ones

I’ve been using these for years and never had one bad experience. Recently no matter where I purchase the pods at they are orange and burnt. I can’t stand it. I’ve bought so many packs thinking it was a bad batch until I looked up to see if it was normal and seen all of these. I even emailed the njoy company I’m about to go back to juul or disposables. This is terrible!!

DO NOT BUY ANYMORE!!! I am in disbelief reading review after review about the exact same thing. All new pods out of the packaging taste horrible, and the liquid inside is DARK orange. Something has definitely changed from before. I actually was able to quit smoking because of NJOY, but now it’s so NASTY! The company is scamming all of us because every story is the same- we have all bought a bunch of pods and new vapes thinking it was just a bad batch but it is just their new product of horrible chemicals. I wrote them and told them before finding out everyone was experiencing this and they wanted me to send them the packaging in came in (which nobody saves), and they wanted a huge amount of information, including my social security number. That’s INSANE! Are they really going to respond to this with “We are sorry to hear about this. Please contact us at this number”??? The past 2 weeks I have experienced a huge inflammation in my lungs and it hurts to inhale. I’m sending this dark Orange liquid in their pods to a lab to find out if something severely dangerous is in it. They are going to have hundreds of lawsuits. Beware people!
