Nightmare Experience – Lost 38,841 NOK + Ruined Family Vacation – Flight Network Ignored Us Completely
I will never book with Flight Network again. This company ruined our family vacation and has caused us immense stress and financial loss.
We paid 38,841 NOK for a trip to Vietnam. At the airport, SAS denied boarding because the ticket for my 6-year-old son was invalid in their system. The SAS agent insinuated that we were scammed. My son was crying, I had a panic attack, and we were left stranded.
Instead of helping, Flight Network’s agents denied all responsibility on the phone. They even sent a “new” ticket number after the plane had already taken off that appeared to be magically valid all of a sudden in SAS system.
Later, Qatar Airways (the main carrier of the trip) confirmed in writing that the ticketing failure was Flight Network’s fault, and that my son's ticket remained voided (even though Flight Network was able to make that "new ticket number" appear valid in the system on the day of the incident after the plane had taken off). We double/triple-checked with the SAS agents at the airport and learned that all their flights to Copenhagen (our first leg) that day were overbooked, so technically, there was no chance for my son to be on that plane no matter what. The whole "new ticket number" becoming valid all of a sudden was just a show--some kind of technical trick that they pulled to make it look like a mistake and not an official scam.
We had no choice but to buy expensive last-minute tickets with Lufthansa (extra 54,996 NOK) just to save our holiday. Total loss so far: over 93,000 NOK.
We have sent multiple formal emails and even confirmed via live chat that they received our refund request. They have completely ignored us for weeks.
This is not a one-off mistake. There are more than 2 thousand victims in a Facebook group called "FlightNetwork victims" as of July 14, 2026. The number keeps growing. One of the most common tactics to trap their victims based on the cases that I've read is this: They give you invalid tickets on overbooked flights that appear to be totally legit even on the airline websites. Close to the departure date, they suddenly change the date or time of the flights to something absolutely ridiculous. You will call them and argue that you can't fly on those dates/at such times. They will then demand a ridiculous amount of money to change the flights for you. If you agree, you give them more money. If you don't agree and show up at the airport anyway, then suddenly you learn your tickets are invalid and can't be used. And of course you want your money back, but all of their agents are trained to say the same thing, denying that they're at fault at all, and that refund is not part of their policy no matter what. In fact, in my case, they even challenged me on the phone to find any written evidence that they are at fault (good thing Qatar Airways was able to provide me with written evidence--but it will still be a long legal battle). Their next step is to wear out their victims by just not responding to any requests or disputes. They ignore us and keep silent until we give up.
If you value your money and your peace of mind — do not book with Flight Network.
I am now escalating through official Norwegian complaints boards (Norsk ReiselivsForum, Finansklagenemnda, Forliksrådet). I hope others in the same situation will also speak up.
I gave them a chance to be decent. I only wanted my almost 39,000NOK back. But now that they've been playing this game for long enough, if I have to bring them to court, I'll demand reimbursement for the new tickets that I bought with Lufthansa and additional compensation for inconvenience, stress and ruined vacation (according to EU 261 regulation).
And be super aware that Flight Network, My Trip and Gotogate are technically the same company, using the same tricks to scam people.
