My experience with notion press is extremely bad. The issues are several, including:
Cheating and lack of transparency in royalty payments
Wrong and unauthorized listing of books
Continued listing despite official disassociation
Selling books across platforms without author consent
Misleading authors regarding control over listings
Unethical and unprofessional conduct towards authors
Creating confusion for buyers through incorrect listings. I strongly recommend working with any other publisher but not them

I have been very disappointed with the publishing consultant. They commit to all the authors demands and asks before onboarding and fail to keep up with the commitments. Truly worst experience.

I recently had an interaction with Neha Kumari from the Notion Press support team regarding the distribution of my Telugu book. Although my book could not be published due to platform language constraints, the experience was made significantly easier by Neha’s exceptional service.

She was incredibly calm, soft-spoken, and convincing throughout our communication. Dealing with publishing hurdles can be stressful, but her empathetic approach and clear explanations completely eased my tension. Neha maintained 100% professionalism and is a fantastic representative of Notion Press. Even though the outcome wasn't what I originally hoped for, her support ensured I left the interaction with a positive view of the company. She deserves great credit for her work!

⭐ 1 Star – Deeply Disappointing Overall Experience
My overall experience with Notion Press has been extremely disappointing, especially from a customer support and responsiveness standpoint.
The biggest issue is the lack of ownership and urgency once you are onboarded. Communication is slow, follow-ups are required repeatedly, and even then, responses often lack clarity or resolution. There seems to be a serious gap between customer expectations and internal coordination.
Support interactions feel cold and mechanical, with no real attempt to understand or proactively resolve concerns. Queries move from one person to another without closure, which becomes mentally exhausting over time.
As someone who runs organizations myself, I find this concerning. Timely communication and accountability are basic service expectations, and unfortunately those are consistently missing here.
Notion Press may offer publishing services, but the overall experience suffers due to poor post-onboarding support and weak customer engagement. I would strongly recommend future authors to thoroughly assess service responsiveness and support structure before committing.

It is terrible experience for me with the notion press team (no transperancy in royalty, no support from team, ignorant technical team). They will be very nice, till you pay the money.
I Submitted my books in notion pressure with complete design of book, front cover design. They have to do the back cover design only. To do that, they have done lot of mistakes. They don't have minimum reading habit of what they are coping and pasting.

Second thing, you will get no support from the team if you encounter any problem with the management. They do not care about our requirements, they will do whatever they wants to do. They will always talk with the chargers (if you wish to have any changes) even for their mistakes.
Third thing : They do not give proper royalty. You will have suffer for it
For upcoming authors who wish to submit in notion press, i strongly recommend to go for other platform. If you submit, you will end with regret.

Even if you wish to submit, check minimum 100 times for page color and cover design requirements. Even if you tell your requirements through documents and over phone, they will do according to their wish.
Money minded platform

I am pleased with the way Notion Press handled my book project. Their team listened to my concerns with sincerity and responded with complete professionalism.

As an author who has published 8 titles, I value responsible and transparent service — and Notion Press demonstrated exactly that.

I completed my part of the publishing process in just a month but was left waiting for weeks over minor corrections. My publishing manager, Apoorva, delayed things and communication was minimal throughout.

What disappointed me most was the lack of transparency in key decisions, like how my book would appear on Amazon, which were made without even informing me. As an author, I felt completely sidelined. Notion Press did not respect my time or creative input.

To make things worse, my book has been out of stock on Amazon India for weeks now, there is still no eBook version available outside India, and it has not yet gone live on Amazon . com despite being published over five to six months ago.

Rightly deserving 1 star!
And let me be clear - I purchased the package for 72,000INR (That's a lotta money)
I have published 3 books in total with them. But this book "Love You Twice" is what I paid 72K for.

Their sales team is very smart in onboarding you. And like an idiot we will immediately buy the package at a discount and think woww, we've got a wonderful package deal for publishing the book.

And then that's it...boom!
They all disappear and put rookies to handle your project...
1. Design team is horrible, cannot make basic stuff also and ZERO creativity- I ended up doing my own cover design
2. After sales service is incredibly slow and non-responsive
3. You have to proof-read your own copy 100 times and give approval, but they save its called editing services and charge for that also
4. Now comes the best part - they say they provide marketing services and do SM creatives and Meta Ads - this is serious basic se phi basic stuff, - common who cannot throw money on Meta and Run Ads????
I mean what is marketing services, you got to help the author get max limelight and sales.
I am unable to share the screenshot or to my horror and yours - I have only sold 1 book in 2 months at their end.
My own Instagram and circle has purchased the book for about 30 copies.
THEY DID ONLY 1 SALE - now judge their marketing skills.
Many of the Instagram reviewers I have approached have read the book and genuinely told its awesome...then WHY NO SALES?
Coz they don't know "M" of marketing and have only burnt my money!

NEVER EVER COME TO NOTION PRESS EVER AGAIN

I am a South African, who submitted a manuscript that was launched in Cochi in 2020, The Flight of a Stone Bird is about Indians who emigrated to British colonies in the 19th. Century. I paid a fortune to get it published and books were sold on Amazon and other platforms. Yet, I get inconsistent feed-back, on sales and royalty payments, which is zero.

For me, experience with NotionPress is a mixed bag, What went right? The quality of book is very good. What didnot seem right? Their promotional services were a huge let down. I would have preferred to take just a basic package or looked at another more proactive partner

It was a great experience for publishing my first book "QUEST OF LIFE" from the notion press platform. People from the notion press are too supportive and helpful at every moment of publishing.
I am very thankful for helping me throughout journey.

Notion Press is a great publishing company. I have personally attended the company interview in 2020 in Chetpet and it was a great place to only work but also publish your books. I have published more than 100 books on Notion Press platform from 2020. They have also provided me MORE THAN 50 BOOKS with free 2 author copies of books via post free of cost in 2022-2023 when I was associated with Crossword Bookstores. I have also visited their depot. in Vanagaram and it was great. Moreover, to my irony, the M.D. madam of Notion Press was my school senoir (Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Virugambakkam). A GREAT COMPANY WITH A LOT OF TALANTED PEOPLE.

I had a fantastic experience publishing my book illamai Kanavu, a Tamil poetry collection, with Notion Press. The entire process was smooth, professional, and author-friendly. Their platform made it easy to bring my book to life, and I was impressed with the support and guidance provided along the way.

One of the highlights of my journey with Notion Press was the wide distribution of my book.
