I placed an order the end of August received the order number in email but nothing else stating the order has shipped also there is always an issues with my login as it either doesn't recognize my email and or password ,so i took decided to contact them and of course they placed me hold literally for 35 minutes so I hung up called right right back and lord and behold SORRY WE CLOSE PLEASE TRY YOUR CALL AGAIN DURING BUSNIESS HOURS, this is a bunch of BS and they wonder why I barely even uses my NY credit card and on top of that can't even get a limit increase with 800 credit score ...SMH.....To add more I called the CS to see what was going on with the order the next morning and I was placed on HOLD FOR AN 1:33 MINUTES BEFORE SOMEONE FINALLY ANSWERED THE MY CALL.

Ordered products and after 3 weeks they have not even fulfilled order. This company is a total scam, don't waste your time on them

I placed an order in July. I had to return it. I have yet to receive my refund. They said it a technical issue and an oversight. They said the are working on it. It does not take a month to resolve. I will not purchase anything else from this place.

I ordered 2 things a dress which I returned and a shirt.
I used my own label with tracking to return the dress. They marked it received and then shorted me $10. I contacted them and they did refund the remaining $10. My bigger issue is the shirt I bought. it tore the first time a washed it. It was still ins tock so I requested an exchange. I got a canned response saying no exchanges no returns after 30 days. I will no longer buy clothes from them

They don't keep their items updated efficiently online. I've placed 6 orders with this Company and almost every order was refunded due to items not being in stock.

I ordered pants on April 27th. I returned them and NY & CO received them in May 12th. They refused to credit my account. Despite calling non-stop, (for two months). I was repeatedly lied to. Every single telephone call, I was “guaranteed “ a supervisor would call in 24-48 hours. No one was considerate enough to rerun my calls. It wasn’t until I submitted a complaint to BBB, did they credit my account. A supervisor finally called. She admitted the only reason that my credit was finally issued was because of the investigation.

Suddenly I can no longer access my account. It says to reset the passcode as of May 1, 2023, but my email address is not coming back saying not found when I try to reset it and I am unable to recover my existing account. I had a NYC account for YEARS since 2017. I am a card holder for 6 years. I do not feel valued anymore. On top of it the clothing choices have gone down. I do not know who is designing their clothes anymore but the taste is awful. I find way better styles and for WAY cheaper cost on Shein now. Its not worth my creating a whole new account anymore and re-adding my info.

I returned some items and they were received back on July 14, 2022…it is now July 19, 2023 and I have yet to receive my refund…I have talked to numerous representatives…most recent today…before it was May 24, 2023 and was told my account would be credited within 4 days at that point…still have not received my credit…I was told to upload documents…I did that, I was told to wait 90 days on several occasions, I have done that… I have been patient for a year and still nothing…I was questioning the representative today…as she suggested that I upload the documents again…my question to her was, “I upload again and then what?” I did that 6 months ago as I was asked to upload again today…representative said those were my only options…I went on to vent nicely…did not curse one time…after she got tired of hearing me talk/ vent I was put on hold without notice and then the phone disconnected…New York and company owes me $156.00…I paid my bill in full June 2022…I returned the items after my bill was paid in full…items was returned because they took over a month to send them…order placed in April 2022 and didn’t receive until May 2022 after I called to get an update…at this point I wish I had just kept the clothing and been done with it…against my better judgement I ordered again recently to see if I couldn’t see the credit because I had a zero balance…and nope that didn’t help either…I am so fed up…a year and 5 days waiting on a refund is absolutely ridiculous!!!

My aunt passed recently and we were all requested to wear yellow. I found a perfect dress and paid additional fees to expedite delivery. They sent me a message saying that the delivery was going to be delayed and not arriving in time. I reached out to customer service to request the fees and was told that it was delivered in time - and the fees could not be returned.
I was an avid shopper of NY & Co especially when they had their store fronts and always shopped the Gabrielle Union & Eva Mendes brands -well never again.
But that's ok GAP came through!

No customer service, return fee even when merchandise is defective.

I ordered a blazer that was received but the bag said large and the blazer inside was an X-Large. I tried to reorder it 3 times and my order was cancelled all three times. I had to call and raise a ruckus to get a refund for cancelled orders. They keep saying they don’t know why it is showing in stock and then my order is cancelled. Such BS! I think they are doing this on purpose now because I made them mad by asking for the manager and questioning them. I would really like a number for their corporate office!!!

I ordered two dresses over a month ago. I returned o e dress. I never receive my refund. Very very very very poor service. Do not order from them. They will quickly deduct your money from your account but won’t refund you or has not refunded my money yet and it has been over a month.

I placed two different orders with New York and Company. Never received an email confirmation nor did it seem that the order went through. They immediately charged me both times. I contacted New York and Co. to see why had I not received an order confirmation or after placing the order I received the order complete message. Well they said they had no record of either order and only showed my last order which was back in April. Weird thing is, they charged my card both times!! So how can you chare my card if there is no order!!

I purchased two pair of jeans and had to return them. I waited the amount of time for the return to be processed and did receive an email about my return. I called and was told we are still processing your return. It was over a month when I finally received my return but only for the amount they wanted to refund me. They shorted me $31.76. I called and was told it was my credit card issue. I checked with them and there was no issue. My credit card company opened up a compliant with the company for the balance that was owed to me. They never refunded my amount my credit card company took care of it. I would never buy from this company again. Someone is not putting the correct information in the system. Stay away from online purchases and returns with this company.

Don't buy anything online. If they lose your order. You get nothing! Only buy instore! Horrible customer service!

In the last five years New York and Company has gone downhill. The customer service is awful. They’ve had my return for 16 days now and still haven’t processed it. The clothes are not like they used to be. It’s very sad because this used to be the one and only store I ever shopped at just canceled my card.

Same experience. I returned an item and got notified it was received months ago and when I try to reach out I get automated messages that there is a delay. I lost $90 and this is so frustrating and an obvious scam

Beware…..
I will not order anymore because if you make and exchange they will not refund your money any time soon but they have no problems taking your money at the time of the purchase. Horrible customer service nothing but excuses and they never let you talk to a manager or anyone in the warehouse. It has been a month since my return, after reading the reviews it looks like it will be another month if ever.
