3 days late & bad customer service interation.

Unfortunately I have to now out my review as low, this is a shame as I am a long time customer with the meat shop but our latest experience has been one of frustration. Our order arrived 3 days late. I had to chase them everyday through there customer service chat, email & speaking with their manager on the ohone everyday to find out what was happening and where my order was. Trying to get information and updates was a frustrating process. Supposedly we are meant to receive a £20 voucher as said by customer service manager due to late deliver and the total mess around we receive d from customer service but we did not receive this and it is not in my rewards. I feel let down and disappointed by this latest interation.

Bad Quality and Customer support

I made an order for (Order #2200524)
1 KG Lamb of £16.00.
3 Lamb paya of £3.8.
And delivery fee of £7.
Due to delivery delay, 1 KG lamb got spoiled and requested for refund and i got refund for 1KG.
Now i paid £7 for a £3.8 is it justified service ? When i ask the samething to customer care they said Its DPD issue (Thier delivery partner). But you choose DPD as the parther right ? or my choice ? These kind of fraud or mismanagement should be punished heavily.

Ordered gizzards and when received it…

Ordered gizzards and when received it was a spoiled and smelly one..it was expired one ..the goat meat was not up to mark for the amount paid...not happy with quality and despatching the expired product a

Horrible meat

Horrible meat. Bought veal which was tough to chew. Asked for a refund which wasn't easy and only gave me part of the refund. Promised £47 but I only received £40, I tried emailing but no reply.
A very bad experience

Thank you for your message, and I’m sorry to hear you felt disappointed with your veal order.

I do want to explain as clearly as possible that tenderness can vary because meat is a natural product. As butchers, we can control how a cut is prepared and trimmed, but we cannot guarantee tenderness every time, as it depends on factors like the animal, muscle use, and natural variation.

Regarding the refund: we did apply our policy and processed a £40 refund on a £50 order, which we feel is a fair resolution for an issue that is unfortunately not something we can fully control. Many businesses would not take that level of responsibility on a product once it has been supplied.

That said, I’m sorry you felt communication was slow. If you reply to this email with the date of your last message (or a screenshot), I will personally check what happened and ensure everything on our side is properly logged.

Excellent meat quality but Delivery is an issue

As usual, the meat quality was excellent. I had ordered Kid Goat Shoulder meat and it was ‘bang on’ on expectations. The only pain point that I have is delivery. This is the second time that the meat reached a day late. While the meat was fresh, however, it ruined our plans as we had invited some friends for dinner. Please look into the delivery issues seriously as this can be very frustrating for the customer.

Thank you for your review and for the kind words about the meat quality — I’m really pleased to hear the Kid Goat Shoulder was bang on and met your expectations.

That said, I’m genuinely sorry about the delivery arriving a day late again. You’re absolutely right: even if the meat is still fresh, a late delivery can completely ruin plans — especially when you’ve invited friends over for dinner. That’s frustrating, and it’s not the experience we want you to have.

We are taking the delivery issues seriously. We’ve recently seen occasions where parcels are delayed at the depot or not moved on time, and we’re working closely with our courier to tighten performance and reduce these delays going forward. We’re also reviewing how we prioritise time-sensitive orders to minimise the risk of this happening again.

If you’re happy to reply with your order date and postcode (or the tracking number if you still have it), I’ll investigate what happened on this specific delivery and make sure it’s flagged properly with the courier.

Purchase

I ordered Silverside steaks to a specific thickness and have received my order today and am very happy with them. The quality is very good and I am looking forward to eating them. I have had from Online meats before and was very impressed with the quality of their meat and price. Will definitely recomend them.

Freshness

Just ordered my 1st whole fresh 2 kilo Oxtail....
WOW....!
It was beyond stunning...and it came vac pack clean....
I promptly cut it up and cooked a hearty chunky soup and a Jamaican Stew n Butter Bean....
Have to order more as my pot was empty....

The delivery arrived in the lobby

The delivery arrived in the lobby, no one call our flat and left it, it’s chilled food. We are disappointed on it
