I looked around for a while to find somewhere to train. I had seen things in the industry I wasn't keen on, so ethics and standards were important to me. When I found Optimus it seemed to fit what I needed.

The training has been to a high quality and engaging. I like that it was also practical with coaching practise part of the curriculum rather than just theory.

I've grown in confidence and feel better equipped to support people reaching their goals and changing their lives.

I did a lot of research before signing up with Optimus, I'm fortunate to know some amazing, long standing professional coaches who recommended Ruth and the team. Optimus Coach Academy gave me a great grounding in the theory and practice of coaching. The Optimus Associate Coach Diploma is ICF and AC accredited and promotes high stadards of ethical practice.The taught sessions were accompanied by resources that I could use before or after each session to extend my knowledge and understanding. Being taught in a small group meant that there was lots of opportunity to ask questions, discuss and explore each topic and the tutors were open and generous in sharing their experience and expertise. This is an experiential course so from the start there were opportunities to put into practice what we had learned and to have feedback from peers and tutors alike. I found the mentor sessions really helpful. I found the transparency of the assessment criteria and the clarity of the processes excellent. Highly recommended if you want to start out as a life coach.

My experience with Optimus Coach Academy has been a blessing! I was really looking to align my research into neuroscience with a credible ICF certified coaching company. I had previously qualified as a coach with a top 5 global ICF certified coaching company a few years previously. I wanted to upskill and enhance my coaching skills with neuroscience, and positive psychology, and I was not disappointed.

The high value content, and attention to engage a group by the trainers whilst providing feedback to us in each session was superb. Not only that, it created an inclusive community, with other peer coaches, where support is ongoing after the conclusion of the course.

The training provided with Optimus is second to none, with a huge focus on evidenced based practice and psychology underpinning it all.
I came to Optimus having already completed a coaching certificate but wanting to become a certified coach recognised by the ICF. The journey I went on by doing the course was one of enormous learning, self discovery and deep inner work. My peer coaches on the course were also there every step of the journey. In fact, I still regularly have peer coaching with several people from the course! They’re now friends and firmly in my world 🌟

The delivery of the programme is exceptional. The weekly sessions are in-depth, thorough and definitely fulfilled my need for learning. Each week, there was time and space carved out for peer coaching, whether it be pairs or triads and I was able to receive regular feedback on my strengths and areas for development. This was central to my growth as a coach. It was a tough slog - 4 hours every week - and it was a lot on top of full time work for me to juggle but it was worth it all.
At the start of the course, I had no idea where I wanted to end up or what I wanted from a future as a certified coach. What I know for sure is that there is no end to my learning and growth and Optimus is the coach academy for you if that’s what you value. No one is ever “ex-Optimus” because of the exceptional community Ruth and the team have created.
