I can honestly say that training with Optimus Coach Academy has been one of the best decisions I've made for my life. I never imagined embarking on the training that I would have learned as much as I have about myself and everyone else for that matter, thanks to Transactional Analysis and Neuroscience. This has shaped how I deal with people and indeed myself. I have met wonderful peer partners who I'm sure will continue to be friends outside of training. The course material is very thorough, the tutors are very knowledgeable and the company cares about Its student and wants to see them flourish. You may look at other providers, but I doubt you'll be able to find a course as comparable and all-encompassing as the L2 Professional Diploma offered by Optimus.

I had been looking at and researching coaching courses and qualifications for years but once I found Optimus, I jumped in as soon as I could.
The breadth and depth of subjects from Positive Psychology to Somatics and Neuroscience really appealed, and my experience with the admin team has been exceptional. I also needed flexibility, so being based online and having alternative days for classes that I could swap to when needed was invaluable.
The community of fellow students was amazing - kind, friendly and supportive which is indicative of the culture of the organisation.
The team of teachers were all impressively knowledgeable and passionate about their subject areas. But the real test of how well we had been taught was at the ACC exam which was far easier than I thought it would be due to the excellent grounding in ethics and ICF competencies that we had throughout the course.
The whole experience was positive, I’ve made great friends and feel fully equipped to coach thanks to the excellent mentoring and feedback.

Very quickly into my conversation with Ruth I knew that Optimus was the company that I was going to choose. Perhaps it was because Ruth used to be in education like myself, but it was more probably because she was so genuine, warm and curious.

The course is so well designed, using the latest research in how we learn making it enjoyable and informative.

What I didn't realise at the time was the biggest value wasn't the diploma at the end of, nor was it the incredible knowledge and coaching skills that you get.

But the community you become part of. It's priceless. The support and care of those around you during and after the diploma is one of the best parts of Optimus.

Designing and delivering a well thought out course isn't too hard if you're an expert in your field like Ruth, creating a community takes something special.

The training at Optimus was brilliant, it was varied and thorough.
Ruth and her team are so supportive and friendly. The whole time i knew someone was available should i need them and even since the training the support is still there.

Coaching has been a passion of mine over my 30+ years in the food industry and I have been fortunate to be involved in many organisational coaching (and mentoring) schemes.
In 2021, I decided that I would like to learn how to do this "properly" and look to leave the corporate world, set up my own business, and see if I can help people and have fun at the same time.

I looked at a range of courses and many seemed very "corporate" and, dare I say, more than a little "stiff and starchy"...

I found Optimus, then discovered Ruth Kudzi's podcast, which also gave me a real insight into the style and approach she and her team take in the training, which was a breath of fresh air.
A 15-minute video call with Ruth later, and I took the plunge into what has proven to be a great investment...

The Optimus course is fun, accessible, and follows the ICF principles as it takes the learner on a journey through all different types of coaching (GROW, neuroscience, positive psychology, somatics, to name but a few). This gives you a solid grounding in a wide range of approaches that you can "try on for size", in the many practical sessions.

There were a couple of other aspects that delivered even more than I had hoped - the course is highly interactive and you go on a real journey of self-discovery. I have come out the other side, not only as a certified coach, but with a much better understanding of myself and some friendships that I am certain will last for life.

I came into the diploma after completing a different qualification. I felt like I needed something more robust to give me a solid grounding in coaching principles, as well as giving me the space and support to find 'myself' as a coach. Ruth and the team are not looking to make cookie cutter coaches here, there is genuine space for individual reflection in addition to gaining a solid grounding in foundational coaching principles.

Coaching is part of my life now, and the Optimus diploma gives me the grounding that I need to work towards formal accreditation. As a person from a professional background already, this is very important to me.

The coaching diploma I took with Optimus genuinely had a huge impact on my life. When I finally decided to train to be a coach, I researched a few different schools and to be honest, the ones I looked at, I remember feeling that I wasn't clear on what I'd get at the end, or how the course would run and what my on-going path could be. They all fried my brain! With Optimus, I felt that most of that was answered and the call I had with them helped clarify and straighten out some of my thinking. It's a huge investment and it's not a decision I took lightly and now, I'm so glad I did.

My outlook on life, the way I think, the way I approach things, it's all changed for the better (and yes, you CAN change! You will learn this on the course). I understand myself more than I ever have done. And you need this in order to help others; they don't say you need to put on your own life jacket first for no reason!

I feel like I'm becoming a better parent, partner, daughter and just a better human in general, with everything I've learnt and I'm so excited to be able to start building a coaching business to help and support others. Because really, that's always been my super power and now I have the tools, with access to on-going learning (because we're all always learning), to be able to do this in a constructive way.

I thoroughly enjoyed the course. All modules were interesting and some even blew my mind. Any time I had feedback, it was taken on board and I was listened to. Genuinely. It's a great combination of theory and practical, which was also really important to me as I can't learn anything if something is all theory-based, which was another huge pull for this course.

So if you're thinking of becoming a professional coach, with everything included that you need to get there, including on-going support and learning, you've come to the right place.

I'm not sure it is an exaggeration to call my experience of the Optimus diploma anything other than life changing. It was so much more than I was expecting - learning, community, self exploration and understanding, a qualification, mentorship, intellectually stimulating and practical. The best investment in myself and a transformational experience

I initially signed up because I wanted to become an ICF accredited coach. I was a business consultant and I was looking for ways of creating sustainable transformation for my clients and increase my credibility.
I had no idea how much transformation I myself will have after this program.

The trainers and coaches in this program are experienced and knowledgable and very supportive. I have met amazing people in my cohort and built meaningful friendships.
As a result of increased confidence I dared to increase my prices and market my services with more courage.
I made my investment back a couple of months in the program and I am so proud of my clients.

What I love about this school is that they are open minded, always listen to the students and everyone gets the attention they deserve.
I had the opportunity to practice coaching in a safe space and be coached and mentored.

Practical enriching and value adding. I'm coming to the end of my ACC coaching training with Optimus. I've appreciated of course the content and the range of approaches we have covered. But it's refreshing also to work with an organisation that recognises this is an investment of time and money and openly acknowledges and embraces the business element of coaching that other training providers I felt either are squeamish and gloss over how to repay your investment or make promises that don't feel trustworthy. I've felt during my time with Optimus the value-add is ever present, there's more than I could consume in six months whilst working full time but I have an alumni group and access to more learning even post ACC training. Within reason they recognise sometimes life gets in the way of a best laid training plan and do what can be done to help students complete. I do sincerely feel and have felt Optimus trainers want you to do well, most have trodden the same path in recent years - standards are uncompromisingly high which is a good thing but people want you to succeed and be a coach with strong ethics and integrity.

Before I started the coach training, I had spent a lot of time deciding whether coach training was appropriate for me, I felt that I already “coached” my clients so I spent a great deal of time researching courses.

Of all the ICF courses I looked at, Ruth's offered a community, business development opportunities and I felt like she came across as a person where the others I had looked at felt more institutional and less personal.

I've thoroughly enjoyed the course – the surprise books arriving on my doorstep, the 4 hours a week on Zoom, the variety of interesting people and knowledge, the mentors and coaches and motivation of the Hub.

I’d be contemplating training as a professional coach for years and finally decided to bite the bullet after working with a coach myself.
I was lucky enough to get my employer to pay and spoke to numerous colleagues and friends about their learning paths.
Another supplier kept coming up and I joined one of their taster mornings.
It was fine, but I just didn’t have the chemistry I’d hoped for. They were less flexible on their timings too and it would’ve meant lots of weekends away from my family.
A trusted connection then mentioned she’d done her training with them and if she was doing it again would’ve picked Ruth and Optimus.
I joined and listened to taster week sessions and immediately loved Ruth’s energy and the feelings I had around needing to become a ‘sage waving Stepford coach’ were banished.

The Tuesday night sessions worked well for me around work and family, although I would admit I was often pooped after a long day at work.

Some of the content was material id covered throughout my career, but it either went deeper or the time and space to have practical supervision really added to it. The new content was just enough to be able to apply, but also to whet your appetite if you wanted to go deeper as part of your CPD.

What really sets Optimus apart is the significant bonus training. At times those of us working felt a little overwhelmed as we were unable to attend live, but the content remains available for you to watch and download for life. We’ve have meet ups post the course to review and discuss the content together.
The community support 121 service provided by Cherry and the team is outstanding and upon talking to others using different providers who have to pay extra to get ACC ready I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Optimus to friends and colleagues.

As a dating coach I wasn’t sure if an ICF accredited training would be useful for my clients, nor did I understand what it would involve. If I’m honest, I was afraid that the course would be a wasted investment, that it would take over my life and that it might even be boring!

I was already working as a dating coach for an award-winning matchmaking company and had trained elsewhere, yet my background left me wondering whether I was in a position to best serve my well-educated clients.
