I appreciate your hard work and helping my credit

I paid them $11,484.00 over and 18 month period, with nothing to show for it. They never contacted the 2 collection agencies to settle my accounts. I responded to a mailer from Option 1 Legal for debt consolidation. I signed up for the program on June 14, 2019. They have deducted $638.00 from my checking account every month until December 18, 2020, a total of 18 months. I have paid them a total of $11,484.00 and having nothing to show for it. Of the $638.00 they deducted $10.95 transaction fee, $89.00 administration fee, $351.57 Service Fee which left a balance of $186.48 towards my settlement account. They have made a total of $8,127.36 in fees, I have a total of $2,988.69 in my settlement account. When I enrolled in the program I was making the monthly minimum payment and never missed a payment to my creditors. My credit rating was 824 at the time of my enrollment it is now in the 500's. I was told by Michael, my smooth talking financial advisor/salesman to stop making payments, do not respond to creditors phone calls or letters and they would represent me and negotiate a lower debt amount with my creditor. On January 25,2020 I emailed copies of the two debt collectors letters to Option 1 Legal so they would know who to negotiate with. I have since contacted both debt collectors and neither one has had any communication with Option 1 Legal, they never received a power of attorney letter and did not know I was being represented by Option 1 Legal. I was served a summons from the municipal district court of Illinois on November 25, 2020 for my debt amount plus court costs. I am now representing myself in this matter. I am now paying 50% of my original debt with monthly payments made directly towards my creditors all done in two phone calls. On December 18, 2020 I spoke to Rashawn a supervisor, asking for a refund because NOTHING had been done on my behalf. He said he would need to speak with his supervisor Djinefa to review my file. Djinefa said she would respond no later than December 28, 2020 because she needed to review with her supervisor Natoia. I just received a check for $2,548.12 which was the amount in my settlement account. That amount is incorrect because on December 18, 2020 when Rashawn cancelled my enrollment the amount in my settlement account was $2,988.69. Option 1 Legal deducted another $440.57 from my settlement account after I was out of the program. I have asked for specifics about who they had been communicating with, what kind of response had they received and who was the actual person representing me. I did not get and answer to any of my questions. Option 1 Legal is a scam who promises you results in your favor and delivers nothing. I went into the program feeling relieved and optimistic and 18 months latter I have more debt because of court costs and humiliated because I fell for Option 1 Legals fraudulent claims.

I have always been treated with the utmost respect, by everyone on the Option 1 team. All questions were answered in layman's terms, so that the answers were thoroughly understood regarding legal matters with creditor's.

Option1 set up our payment plan and we are sticking to it, we still have another 2 years and then we will be paid off! Option1 communicates well and we are happy that we chose them.

Do not do business with this company. They do not communicate with you after setting up your account draft. They don't tell you that your debt won't be settled until the end of the time period you are paying (the credit cards won't be paid for FOUR YEARS!!) They don't send anything via email or regular mail to advise you of changes in your account. When you call them they say they tried to call you, but the calls never come through on the receiving end. After paying in over $5k, they dropped me for missing payments during covid-19, with no warning, no communication, nothing. Go with another company.

Everything that they said they would do they did. Everything that they said would happen happened. The results so far has been better then expected. If you need this type of help these are the people to talk to.

I was a customer of Option 1 for about a year. I paid over 4000.00, in that time Option 1 did not settle any of my debts. I asked for a refund then out of the blue I was contacted with a settlement offer for one of my credit cards which was 700.00 dollars more than my original debt. When I finally received my refund they took 3100.00 dollars for fees. I was still stuck with all of my debts plus massive late fees and over the limit fees. Option 1 is not a good company to use for debt consolidation.

Option 1 Legal is fraudulent!!! They perform illegal activity by collecting their own fees from you before they have settled any of your debts!!! This is a practice prohibited under the FTC!!!! I have contacted the BBB, the Ohio Attorney General's office, and the FTC to handle my situation. I want out of this program and a refund of the money I have put in!!! I have given them over $3000 for which they say is for service fees and retainer fees. No money has gone towards any settlement! I asked for copies of the letters they have "allegedly" sent to the creditors and have not received anything! My credit score has tanked as well! They need to be put out of business and sued for wrongful and illegal acts. I have endured an extreme amount of emotional stress from them!!! I want my money back!!!

I have been a client for 9 months now and I am glad to be one .I felt like I was shoveling sand against the tide trying to pay my credit card debt monthly.I now feel that with the help of Option 1 I have help to reduce and pay off my credit card debt!

I wish I could give a 0 zero, this company lies to you in order to get your money and by the time you realize it you're so in debt you have to file bankruptcy. They told me one price was all I would pay for 3.5 yrs and after they got over 5000 from me and the courts were coming after me they informed me I would have to add more money each month they never resolved anything for me only made my debt worse

I was under the impression that i was consolidating my debit and a legal firm would help. Feel mislead and very upset. I was under the impression that i was consolidating my debit and a legal firm would help. In reality you pay someone in hopes they help you pay debt. Mislead and advised that someone from this law firm would be coming to my home to sign up for their debt relief assistance. He told me that I was approved to settle about 70,000 of my debts which I was currently making about 2100 in payments monthly. He made it sound really good to me. Advising me a law firm would handle my payments and represent me and that settlements typically occur within 7-8 months and that my payments would be going into a savings account. He told me to stop any auto payments because I didn't want to be making duplicate payments. I had zero late payments and questioned him about the impact on my credit. He told me I would see a small dip at first until settlement was made but by making payments on my other cards on time would balance that out. He told me I could refer any calls to the attorney (Option 1 Legal Firm) who would represent from here on out. He made it sound so wonderful. I agreed to have a representative from the law firm which he said was from my state come out that evening to sign up for the program. To my surprise the person who showed up was simply a notary who could not answer any questions. When I asked for a copy of what I signed he told me he was only required to bring one copy so he couldn't provide. And to make matters worse this person who was not from the law firm and I knew nothing about had all of my information including my full social security number. I didn't realize until going through the paperwork that my accounts could be charged off. I have sent documentation to Option 1 from my creditors and asked for them to responds. The only thing I get back from them is an auto response saying someone will contact me within 48 hours, but that never happened. I have never felt so taken advantage of before in my life. How can people do this! I'm trying to get out a misfortune not make it worse. I cancelled the program and now have to wait 10-14 days for a paper check that totals $50K in snail mail. Horrible company and horrible follow up and follow through.

So far so good. I jave been a client of option 1 legal for 3 months. So far the process is smooth. And fairly easy. Being poor and being a homeowner its not easy when major issues pop up to disrupt things. This happens to a lot of us. Option 1 legal will back and support you. One simple payment a month to lower your debt. If you need help try them out. I will update this as the program goes for me

I had gotten myself in a bad situation. I received a letter from many companies saying that they were willing to help. I can’t say what made me call Option1Legal, but it was the best thing I have done in many years. They have me three options and I closed the one that I felt best on moving forward. No one tried to change my mind. They helped me set everything up with just a couple of phone calls. They have made it so easy that I just sit back and they have taken care of everything. No harassing phone calls, no harassing emails. Nothing. I am very great full for the professional individuals that have assisted me in all of this. Great company to taken the burden off your back.
