*UPDATE*
I’ve asked my dress to be returned which they’re now saying has been reprocessed and scanned back in for inventory alongside the same dresses which they’re have another 40 units of that size. So that just proves that my dress will be sold again whilst I don’t get my refund.
Placed an order for 2 of the same dresses in 2 different sizes for New Year’s Eve. They arrived the day before in the afternoon and tried them both on straight away. I tried the bigger size on and then the smaller one, was planning on keeping the smaller size and tried it on 3 different occasions over 2 days but ended up going with a different option so thought I may as well send them both back as I can’t imagine when I’d wear it. Sent them back in the time frame, fast forward to when I walked into my house to see a parcel from this company, opened it and had one of the dresses back with a note to say that the larger one (baring in mind had been tried on once) apparently stunk of perfume and couldn’t be returned but the other which was tried on straight after and more was returned and resold. This dress that had been sent back was unopened which was bizarre so i opened it so I could smell this dress which apparently stunk of perfume to find that it was brand new and had no smell to it whatsoever. I’ve emailed to get a response saying the exact thing what they said to another customer on here about how they had 2 other people smell this dress but never commented on the fact they sent me a dress which couldn’t be resold apparently so I can’t understand why they wouldn’t send that back but a brand new one which could be sold to someone else. I’ve emailed back to ask for that dress that I purchased to be sent back as I think they’re liars. I’ll wait to see the response…but please do not purchase from this company, they’re back to what they previously did with DLSB.

thrilled to bits with my dress "don't make me wait"wine dress,orderered 2 sizes as I wasn't sure of the fit, fast delivery,however happy the smaller size fitted, returned the larger one and was refunded no problem at all, cant wait to wear this for the sequin season really christmassy
a I must say,a lot of these negative reviews on here are for a totally different company called DLSB I also ordered with this company for several years and never had any problems with them either.sadly they did close down last year, but had been going for over ten years

Ordered an outfit but unfortunately, I ordered before I had read the reviews for Overdressed! Bad idea! My gut feeling was right, didn't receive the outfit, twice emailed to chase up and told it was en route and then later that it had been shipped but got lost or still with royal mail! Still haven't received it! Thankfully I have been reimbursed by my credit card company! Will not be ordering again! Stay clear!

AVOID!! PREVIOUSLY KNOWN AS DLSB
Still waiting for a refund from this company DLSB from over a year ago for £180!! They received the items back and said the refund was on it's way several times! I have emailed, tried contacting through social media to which I have been blocked on both company names!

In response to your reply.
I sent the following emails that they claim not to have had and I can show evidence of:
22/07/25 at 14:26 to state that the refund amount was wrong and should have included the postage. No reply.
A message via your message us portal on 14/7/35 at 13:10pm to state I am returning the dress and the tags are not attached (you responded on 15/7/25 at 4:04pm to say thanks and you would note the account)
I sent a photo of the postage label on 20/07/25 to you. No response.
I sent a further email on 21/07/25 making it clear I was returning the dress due to tags not being attached and I did not want to be accused of returning a used dress. No response.
So you WERE told multiple times and regardless for my reasons for returning, you MUST refund outbound postage, I don’t need any reason for that. That is the law.
You have also said that as the dress was in a plastic bag that it’s clearly ‘new’ when your own website says “ To be eligible for a refund, your item(s) must be returned to us in the same condition as you received them (unused, unworn, unwashed WITH THE TAGS STILL INTACT)”
You can’t have it both ways.
I also note you have flagged my review for defamation. I have ALL of the evidence to support my review.
I really hate to do this but I think a line has definitely been crossed here by the owner of Over-Dressed (formally DLSB).
I was a huge DLSB fan, this was a local business to me and my bought all of my outfits from her.
Then there was clearly issues, refunds consistently took weeks, in breach of the consumer rights act - and in
August/September/October refunds for returns took MONTHS. We were asked to be patient but they swiftly went into administration.
A new company was set up on Companies House (Dress Is More LTD) on 30/10/2024. This person is clearly linked to the owner of DLSB and can easily be searched to find the connection on Companies House.
So whilst DLSB was having difficulties refunding orders due to what they called a 'backlog' a new company was being set up.
This is factual and publicly available information on Companies House.
Companies House showed that DLSB went under due to:
"A significant increase in returns believed to be due to the current economic climate and customer not having funds to keep what they ordered.
Increased costs due to stock, marketing, business rates, national minimum wage increases (which had not actually happened yet btw) and utilities.
Customer payment options charging high transaction fees.
Lack of growth in a 2 year period accross marketing, sales and website traffic"
So with that in mind I have to say I am pretty astounded under that Over-Dressed was set up using the exactly the same marketing, the same social media (so if you followed DLSB, you now are part of the Over-Dressed community by default as they have not set up new social media channels), the same models, the same prices, the same clothing, down to the same names (eg, Mamma Mia, Artemis, Drive Em Wild etc).
The former owner of DLSB states on social media that Over-Dressed is her 'new website' This is publicly available information on her social media.
HOWEVER, despite my better judgement, I purchased a dress from Over-Dressed. BIG MISTAKE.
The dress arrived in a DLSB shipping bag, the postage label had a return address of Dress Is More, the inside containing a clear plastic bag with a DLSB label on it, the dress having a DLSB tag (which was detached from the dress) and a sewn on DLSB label. The link between Over-Dressed and DLSB is abundantly clear and I agree with the reviews linking the 2.
As the dress had the tag detached I returned it and didn’t even open the clear plastic bag as I did not want to be accused of wearing the dress and returning it untagged. 4 days after receiving it, and after some emails back and forth around me saying I was worried about the lack of tag etc they sent a refund confirmation email.
However, the Consumer Rights Act clearly states that if you are returning an item within 14 days, they legally have a refund the original postage costs I paid.
They have NOT refunded these costs and despite them initially being responsive to my emails, they have not responded at all to my request to be refunded for the postage. THIS IS UNLAWFUL.
I would also argue then when purchasing a new dress, the tags that they state must be attached when returning meant the dress was not new and they should also cover the return shipping as it was not as described and I was forced to return though no fault of mine, but I reasonably (and stupidly) only challenged the outbound postage.
The link between the owner of Over-Dressed and DLSB is absolutely undeniable and given Over-Dressed is ignoring their legal obligations, I would absolutely avoid.

Certainly doesn’t tally up with the 5* reviews of customer service behind over helpful with sizing! Or once the item has been purchased and have your money they don’t seem to care.

Over-Dressed used to be called DLSB, but are still the same business - you can find out more about the saga online and in the main Facebook group. They owe us roughly £10,000 and continue to use the mailing bags we supplied with their own branding on, even though they have not paid for them, and they are legally our property. I would urge everyone not to buy from them.

Like many others, I was burned by their previous business name, DLSB.
I spent months chasing for a refund, got minimal customer support and had to go through my bank. Luckily I managed to get a refund but DLSB were unapologetic and unhelpful throughout the whole process. A few weeks later I found out they ceased trading in that name and have a new one. This review is just to make people aware that the company are known to hold on to your refunds. I hope they've managed to sort out their issues as I did actually like the clothing but they should've at least addressed the thousands of people they screwed over before changing their name.

EDIT:
I personally returned a £90 coat, I was told the company was busy and I would be refunded within 21days. After this period I noticed comments being removed on the companies social media and soon discovered that this was happening to hundreds of other customers. The companies owner willingly accepted all returns and never refunded her customers.
The company then 'closed' and everyone lost their money.
A new company was soon registered under her name, the old social media accounts popped back up under the guise of a 'rebrand' this is simply a ruse to try and keep her social media followers.
This information is all available online and is completely factual, she will no doubt flag this as defamatory, even though its 100% true.
Disgusting, shameless behaviour.
