Really fun event with friendly instructors!

Don’t waste your money

While I appreciate the expertise of the teachers, the £32 ticket price left a lot to be desired.

We were shocked to walk in to find we had to pay for our own drinks and were given a paper plate of primary school acrylic paints and only 2 brushes.

The guidance from the teacher was minimal, and whilst my friend and I are no stranger to painting, some actual tips would have been helpful (beyond saying to use the yellow for the lemons and blue for the background).

We did not feel that the materials, the teaching, or the venue reflected the price point of the tickets and won’t be booking again.

There was also no offer of a bag to take the canvas home, or a pre-event email telling us what to expect. Subsequently, we arrived at 4pm (the stated start time) only to find out that we should have turned up at 3:45 to get set up and prepped.

It’s always nice to sit down and paint but to pay £32 (well £36.75 including the drink) for the privilege was so disappointing.

I wouldn’t call it a sip and paint. The sip’s not included.

Our paint and sip class was brilliant with supportive teachers that were always on hand to offer useful advice and make the class fun. The pace was brilliant and the class ran the perfect length of time. We both really enjoyed it and will certainly look to do another in the future - thanks!

Had a great time sipping and painting. Rose our instructor was very friendly, patient and showed us step by step to create our own masterpieces.

Went with my partner and absolutely loved it. Our host was Anna they were absolutely fabulous, really made you feel like at ease. Location choice was also great.

I went with my coworkers, and it was so much fun! The instructor guided us through every step until we finished our paintings. I’d definitely recommend it even if you aren't the creative type!

I honestly wouldn’t waste your money going here. My friends and I booked for one of the girls 30th birthdays, the birthday girl was verbally assaulted by the doorman on the way in. We then waited 40 minutes for one round of 4 drinks (2 cocktails 2 soft drinks) and then the session itself was not instructor led. We were given a canvas and paints and told to take a photo of the end result and get cracking. We could’ve just done that at home, what did we spend £120 for? We’d been to one ran by a different company before which is why we chose to book this one which was very fun and was a proper tutorial. I emailed paint vine for a refund and expressed my concerns, they came back with no apology or any sort of resolution. I appreciate the door man and drinks aren’t a. PV thing, however they are part of the experience that YOU sold us so contribute to our experience with you. Absolutely would not recommend. Stick to Pinot and Picasso and don’t waste your money here!!!!

I booked a Paintvine session in London for 16 November 2025 and they cancelled the event a few days beforehand. They offered to move me to another date, but the date I chose was the only one I could do, which I clearly explained.

I requested a refund of £34 since they cancelled and I can’t attend any other date. I’ve now emailed them multiple times over several days and have had zero response.

So right now they’ve cancelled the event, ignored every email, and are still sitting on my money. Completely unacceptable customer service and very unprofessional. I won’t be booking with them again and I’d strongly suggest others think twice before handing them any money.

We purchased the paintvine event for 22nd Oct at Mash Paddle Brewery. Order #9743.
We got here and the venue was closed. There was no communication, no refund and the company is not responding to our messages and emails.
Either they cancelled and simply forgot to tell us or this is an elaborate scam. Either way we're down £68 and a ruined evening.

Edit 1 - Received an email from them apologizing and mentioning
"We should have made sure you received our notice about the event being cancelled". I've asked for any evidence that such communication was indeed sent out. I will update here once I receive this. They are processing a refund. Although if the event was cancelled, I wonder why we had to turn up and request for a refund in the first place when it should have been processed when the event got cancelled.
We were also offered 15% discount on a future booking! 15% doesn't even cover the cost of our train ticket to get there!

Edit 2 - It looks like they've read this review. They've now offered a free session (and not the 15% discount as originally offered). I will update my review to share my experience.

Edit 3 - I've updated the rating to reflect the resolution so far (one to three stars). We have agreed to attend the event on November 22nd. I'll be making a final update following the event.

I booked this for myself and a friend and we had so much fun. We were both slightly worried at first but soon to room fell silent with concentration lol! Everyone from all ages were there. I would highly recommend it and would definitely do it again.

Went to a sculp and sip session and had a really good time. All materials and instruction are included in the session and everything is well thought through - sculpting is done with a pre-mixed air-dry clay which you can take straight home after the session, and bags are provided. There is time to be guided through making a pot and then time to freestyle and let your creativity run wild! Our artist Anna was lovely and helpful and there was a relaxed vibe to the session. It was really therapeutic and interesting way to spend an afternoon. I wouldn't hesitate to come again.

We had a really fun session! We came with ideas about what we wanted to make and the instructor gave us some helpful pointers for how to make them. I made 3 different clay objects during the session and I spent the following weekend painting them. Such a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon!

I have never done anything like this before, but I loved this painting session! I wanted to try more craft activities, and booked for me and an artistic friend to go. It was wonderful 🥰
I don't always feel comfortable in new environments, or with new people, but I felt right at home here. I got so engrossed in the painting that I didn't really notice the rest of the room.
Definitely coming back!

A fun night with easy steps to follow and a great teacher (we had Mollie) yo guide us through, with a really relaxed vibe.

Was such a lovely afternoon painting, had so much fun it went by really quickly!
The instructors were really helpful and so pleased with my final painting!
