This translator for me is the best I´ve used. Thanks a lot for the differences on Portuguese PTx BR. I used to translate my documents on Pairaphrase and then I´ve just take a look for small (If any) not so good translations. I am very happy with this experience.

Although Pairaphrase is a very useful tool, the translation memory does not increase as efficiently as I would expect.

Very useful tool. However there are annoying pop-ups to review the quality of a translation immediately, before we've had time to review the wordings.

I wish we could opt of out being asked for translation feedback, especially when on the Translate tab.

I never know what the correct translation is, otherwise I wouldn’t be using this program.

Very helpful tool with a quick translation

I use Pairaphrase for translating word docs into various languages. It's very easy to use, but the most important factor for us is the document's style being maintained when translating which Pairaphrase does exactly.

I tried the service and was not satisfied. When I tested it I realized that Google translate did a better job. But the customer service is very helpful. Maybe for other translation jobs it would be more suitable.

A very useful new concept for translation needs.

I can only see the last couple of my projects displayed in the Projects area. I would like to access many more for historical reasons, say the last year's worth.

Extremely easy-to-use software - really very intuitive. I was amazed at how quickly I was translating my articles into various languages. Most important is that the integrity of my layout was not affected by the translation. Absolutely remarkable. I had a friend check the Portuguese and Italian translations and they were both amazed at how accurate the translations were. I researched several translation software options, and by far, Paraphrase was the easiest to use. I have translated 26 articles into 11 languages and Pairaphrease will be my go-to service for all future translations.

I think it's needed a lot of translation edit by the users (so much work) that the final result be 5 stars because the AI is not perfect of course.

The program can translate text somewhat reliably. The company makes claims that it will 'remember' word pairings for the future, however this is almost never actually the case.

After a word bank of nearly 500,000 word pairings saved into the program, almost never did the translation actually automatically translate in accordance with the saved pairing. The only times it did 'remember' a specific saved-translation, is when the entire sentence was identical. Adding a "but" or "however" anywhere in a sentence, or a clause following the identical portion of the sentence, would cause the translation to default back to the original and not the saved word-paring.

Any sort of italics, bolded words, underlines, or font size discrepancies will also usually ruin any previously saved word pairings. With one exception. Saving a specific sentence pairing in italics or a different font size, might apply that font size and italics to any exact, and only exact, replication of the sentence, regardless of the font size or lack of italics in the text you are now trying to translate.

Sentences (and often paragraphs) in quotation marks, such as quotes, are often broken in half, causing the the halves to translate separately. This causes a single sentence to be translated as two separate sentences, almost always yielding broken results. Further, for whatever reason, the program struggles to recognize to which part of a sentence the quotation mark applies, causing the non-quoted portion to be translated as a half-sentence in quotations.

Even saving single words to the 'memory' will almost never cause the saved translation of those words repeated in future translations unless the new text is translating only that single word and nothing else. If the word is used in a sentence, no matter how simple, you will get the original translation of the word in the sentence, not the translation you have saved.

Overall, this program only works if you wish to translate multiple, 100% identical sentences several times. Any slight variation to the sentence, be it font, length, bold or underline, or quotation, will ruin any translation you have saved to the 'memory'.

A simple fix which could turn this into a 4-star review would be to add a function whereby saving a single word (a translation of a single word) will automatically apply that saved translation to all future instances of the word. Even better would be '2 or 3 word combinations' to help differentiate between instances where the same word can be translated differently depending on context. As-is, the program has a default translation for words that it will always apply unless the sentence exactly matches a previously saved sentence.
