I chose Part Time Pilot for its transparency and “realness.” PTP recognizes that the path to becoming a pilot isn’t a straight line. Life is complicated, people are busy, and time is our most precious resource. Part Time Pilot enables some like me to easily access needed information, filter through unnecessary noise, and allows me to be intentional about achieving my dream. I would recommend it to any one, especially those that may have written off their hope of becoming a pilot. If anyone has ever had an inkling to become a pilot, they should know resources like Part Time Pilot can make it a reality.

I chose this ground school mainly because of its affordability compared to other programs I researched. However, what really impressed me was the quality of the course and the many positive reviews from other students.

One of the standout features is the wealth of additional resources, including practice tests, podcasts, and downloadable materials. These extras make a big difference, providing a well-rounded learning experience and ensuring students feel fully prepared for the written exam.

My goal was to finish ground school with more than just the ability to pass a test—I wanted to feel truly knowledgeable and confident as a private pilot. While real-world flying will continue to build my skills, this course has already given me a strong foundation and a huge boost in confidence. This school has been very repsonive in answering any question that I've had. They will help explain anything you don't understand and have so many test prep options to help study. I have loved my experience with Part time Pilot

My schedule can be sporadic but Part Time Pilot allows me to work at my own pace. It seemed to be the most cost effective but still a quality ground school. The concepts are explained well and I enjoy the use of visuals. I like that I can listen to all of the lessons. This is particularly helpful on my commutes when I am reviewing lessons.

Part-time pilot makes becoming a private pilot so much easier! The lessons are detailed and engaging, there are plenty of resources for all areas you are learning and Mr. Nick is so fast to respond to any questions I have! I can listen to Part Time Pilot on the road which is so helpful! I have truly learned more on this platform than other platforms and have learned so much more because of the various videos and articles given. Thanks for being a great ground school!

Part Time Pilot is an excellent source of information for the FAA written exams. They provide various lesson formats to help all types of learners including hands on plotting examples, written lessons, audible versions of the written lessons, videos with graphical depictions of the topic and quizzes at the end of each section. The extra important information is clearly indicated and there are FAA review summaries at the end of each lesson. I especially benefit from being able to backtrack as I progress and retake the quizzes from previous lessons to refresh my memory as there is A LOT of information as you move through it and it can be hard to remember things. The endorsement at the end is fantastic as it saves the time and money of attending ground school at the airport. The price of Part Time Pilot can't be beat. To get through this much content with a live instructor would cost thousands. I highly recommend using Part Time Pilot as your ground School.

Nick's explanation methods make it easy to understand material. Having multiple avenues to receive training make comprehension so much better. I take a lesson at night, then listen to the podcast in the morning while driving to work to reenforce it.

Quizzes are very helpful

Nice to have multiple ways to learn the content. Audio, video or reading.

All ground schools have pros and cons. When compared to all other courses, Part Time Pilot has all PROS. They have all the bells and whistles of other schools, and SO MUCH BONUS material outside of the free FAA free pdf's. Books, live lessons, checkride prep for after you finish the school, they even have Audio podcasts for every lesson. I liked this because I could listen on my drives and this would make completing the lesson go quicker after work. I love the fact that they have 1,700+ "Flash Card" questions you can print once you finish and are ready for the practice Tests or waiting to take the written exam. Aside from all that, the scholarships and study groups are pretty neat too!

Great ground school, lots of different ways to get the information. Very active, very responsive.

Part Time Pilot has been a great way for me to do the ground school portion of private pilot training. The courses are clear and concise. Nick is very responsive with answers to questions.

The online platform is fantastic and there’s so many free add ons that make the ground school well worth the money.

Extremely helpful and resourceful. The zoom classes, podcast and study groups make all the difference. There is something for everyone in their ppl stage to help them study in their busy lives.

For months I was clueless on where to start my journey to becoming a pilot. I downloaded numerous pages on Facebook and would just read comments and posts from people all over the world about ground schools, instruments, maneuvers, etc.
I had had my wife buy me a stack of books that I had seen people recommend and I felt that was going to get me on a track to begin.
Once they showed up at my house I panicked! I thumbed through the pages and was shocked to find all this information.
I was again feeling as if maybe this wasn’t going to be for me.
So I picked a page I follow on Facebook (with no recollection of it being an online ground school) and sent a post with picture of my new books.
I managed to get a lot of feedback from some very kind people that informed me that I had in fact posted on the part time pilot study group for the ground school.
So I went back to Google and also watched a bunch of videos nick had posted plus took notice in what all he offered when you apply for part time pilot ground school. As if faith had showed up to my door step I was presented with a starting point!
After a couple of days pondering on if this was the right choice for me. I talked it over with my wife and told her part time pilot was the route I wanted to take.
So I enrolled that night ( during the Black Friday deal) and immediately started on the lessons and all the other features included.

It has been and continues to be the best choice I have ever made! Coming from zero knowledge in aircraft or what it takes to become a pilot the podcasts, app, course lessons, and bonus material have started to pave a way for me to understand the requirements of becoming a great pilot!!!
