I had an incredibly disappointing experience with PayU. I made a payment of ₹33,000 using my credit card through their payment gateway, but the transaction neither got approved nor refunded. It's been over 20 days now, and the support team has provided no resolution or clarity on the matter.
Shockingly, their response was that they will "review it for release after 210 days from the last transaction date." This is absolutely unacceptable! If the transaction cannot be approved, the money should be immediately refunded to the customer. Delaying the refund for such an extended period only adds unnecessary stress and hardship for customers like me.
The lack of urgency and empathy from their support team is pathetic. Despite multiple follow-ups, there’s no concrete solution offered. I’m left feeling helpless, knowing my situation will remain unresolved even after their absurd 210-day waiting period.
I strongly advise anyone considering using PayU to think twice. A payment gateway should provide security and prompt resolution, not cause more headaches. My trust in PayU is shattered, and I hope they take steps to improve their customer support and refund processes.

Support was super fast in arguing after they hold our fund
It's a long story but try to cover it short. Couple of years ago, we were using this scammers company for our business online payment where one client same as this people bought our product and availed IT services of couple weeks. After a month, he fileds a complaint and asked for refund.
We've clearly communicated with the client that as per our ToC and you have already download the source code, you cannot claim for the refund. The same has been sent to PayU support too. But after a couple of years not sure what PayU did, that fund was held by my bankers.
Now these PayU hired some dept collecting agency who don't understand anything (not even sure how intangible product sales works) keep emailing and one email we dragged payu and in the second PayU responded to the agency mentioning that "Don't put us on this, you take care". Wow !
I will never advice this fraudulent company to any company especially if you are into software.

Don't pay to any merchant using PayU as PayU don't have any payment dispute team, that means if the merchant doesn't provide you the product or services then their is zero chance that you will get your money back.

I am not alone in my grievances, as a quick search online reveals a multitude of similar complaints from other dissatisfied customers. It is alarming to see that this company continues to operate with such disregard for its customers, seemingly without any repercussions.

I cannot in good conscience recommend this platform to anyone. PayU is a fraudulent application that takes money from the customers but then make excuses to hold or delay settlements.
So, basically they said they will settle the payments after T+2 days of collection. But it has been more than a week and they are yet to settle my amount. I have tried raising multiple support tickets.
The fact that they hold your money in their account and give irrelevant replies to your support tickets is unacceptable and disappointing.
In one of my support ticket they claimed that they had recently stopped onboarding new customers and that the delay in settlement is because of their onboarding process being paused. This is nothing but deceitful behavior because once they on-boarded me, they have to provide proper service and timely settlements. Moreover, onboarding and settlements are two different departments.
I have stopped using PayU, because of their engagement in swindling. This is not a platform to trust your money with, I would urge the readers, my friends and relatives to stay away from PayU.
Their deceitful practices have left me feeling cheated and frustrated.

PayU is so horrible, so I'm actually taking the time off to write my 2nd review. As a new business owner, if my KYC was not done - why accept payment from my customers on my website ?
Now they need additional documents to release this payment into my bank account - which I have submitted but the team doesn't know how to check their attachments - because a week after the documents I submitted my verification is pending.
It's more than a little annoying because this overall process began in May.
Finally, I get a call from their customer service - but they keep disconnecting when I call back !!
I need to be free as per their convenience and schedule, but they are not free to answer my calls.
RBI needs to ban such fraud companies from operating in India.
