Falsely tiding on the tailcoat of Penguin traditional publishers 
Firstly, they are falsely using the name Penguin to give themselves credibility. The only reason I used them was because I wanted the Penguin logo in my book. Turns out they are not affiliated with Penguin traditional publishing at all. They have no right to be selling themselves as Penguin.
The process took over a year to complete, because they kept sending me AI generated cover images in which the characters had two noses or eight fingers or six eyebrows. Despite these obvious clues that they were AI generated, they denied it all the way through the process.
I ended up designing my own cover and sending it to them to use. At this point, despite having bought the full package, they asked for more money to add the book to Amazon, and then acted like they were giving me a special discount when I refused to pay it.
As far as editing, my manuscript goes, it came back with just 13 changes in an 80,000 word manuscript. Did they even read it?
Since I am proficient in publishing on Amazon, I terminated the contract having got not a single useful thing from them, and published it myself
