Was blocked immediately after setting up number for violation of terms. Customer support was basically scripted and useless. Then I was told to find an alternative...lol..that's the best and the only sensible information I received from them.

My account kept getting restricted I don't understand why it keeps getting restricted

Bought premium service with Pingers phone service and cancelled service with my old provider. weeks later my account was randomly restricted. I spoke to nina who said "For security reasons, we’re unable to provide the specific reason for your account block."

They wont refund me either, just took my money and banned me.... Worst customer service experience in 32 years.

I don't know why 2 people have had a bad experience with their TextFree but I am here to say the exact opposite. I have been boycotting the big cell companies for almost 10yrs for many reasons, not the smallest of which is their total lack of customer support. Like I'm going to pay gazillions of dollars to be ran around in circles by a computer programmed bot that does NOTHING to help fix anything! I know my TF guys name and he has been a godsend. I DID go a month without using it because of the rural area I lived in and was really upset that I couldn't log in to my account. I thought the number I had for 7yrs was gone and I'd have to start all over with a new one. I reached out to Pinger in an email and although it took us a day or so msging back and forth, he figured it out for me and even threw on some free minutes for me so I could contact people and let them know that I was back and ok. That's just one example, over the years I've had a few issues (small ones) and they've been right there for me. They aren't magicians; can't instantly Shazam your problem away and some things can't be fixed but it's a fraction of the cost of any other and they are real actual employees, not a random call center or a bot. They've been good to me and I have a hard sucky life. I need that kind of support, the kind I've NEVER gotten from the bigger ones.

I have been with Pinger (Text Free) for ten years with the same number until a week ago the company decided to close my account. One message stated I hadn't used my number in over 30 days. This was totally untrue as I use it daily. I've tried contacting the Pinger company for over a week now and can not get anyone to respond on my situation. I have texted them, used their phone number (never answered, just leave message) and have tried contacting them via their website and FaceBook page. At all times I have left my name and cell phone number and no one will respond. The company has an auto generated email response that essentially is totally useless to the consumer. They do not personally interact with their customers based on my experience or care about the customers issues. You are just totally cut off from them and ignored.

SAME ISSUE CANT LOGIN (Account access issue detected Please contact Customer Support for help with accessing your account.) Have been trying to contact pinger for over 2 days and they do not reply. There is no phone to contact them only by email. I pay the subscription to send text to my customers for my business. Dont rely on them for your business needs. I have to look for a more reliable service for my business and will file a chargeback!!

Have been trying to contact pinger for over a day and they do not reply. There is no phone to contact them only by email. Have had the app for a long time, I have a subscription with them on iphone, went to open the app yesterday and the app had logged me out and when I try to log into it now it shows "Account Access issue detected" and for me to contact support, which I did and they only sent a message saying they have received my request and they will review and respond shortly but its been over a day. I am going to cancel my subscription and ask for a refund. When I need that number to send a text I cant wait over a day or more to have it. I use it for verification on some of my other apps.

Repeatedly receive the following message "Account Access Issue Detected. Please contact Customer Support for help accessing your account.

I contacted "support" and they supposedly "fixed" the problem. I had the same issue again the NEXT DAY, so I once again contacted support.

They "fixed" the issue again, and after simply texting "OK" to someone (while still chatting with support) I got the same message AGAIN. I brought this to the agent's attention (Ericka) and was GHOSTED. I tried to contact them again, and the same agent asked for a screenshot, then I was GHOSTED yet again.

Needless to say, I WILL be cancelling my subscription and finding better options.

DO BETTER PINGER (Sideline App)

This is a trash service!
Half the time it doesn't even work and when it does it is only for a moment and then it shuts back down.
Can't log in more then half the time but I guess that is the kind of trash you get for free.
Tried it so we could keep in contact when our phones are being charged or the kids are talking on the phones to friends and family. But not any longer!
Worst app ever!

Scam app. They have users sending pictures of young women to cell phones to elicit communication. Should be illegal.

You bigg time idiot. Has anyone had the courage to tell y'all just how got darn bad text now is and that your a darn waste of all waste out there to even consider downloading such a piece of literal crap on their phone. Omg well let it known that no other free calling app has pissed me off so bad if you walk up to me having anything to do with creating working for or anything as such I want nothig more than to taste my hands n anger while i choke the hell out of you!! So pissed throwing my freaking phone cause y'all more yhan I can even continue typing n telling people like y'all!!!

I have used the app for 10 years but on 10/11 it completely stopped sending or receiving texts. I can open the app and see old threads, but that's it. It is happening on the phone app and when I sign in on the web. When I sent an inquiry, I received a reply that I am not authorized to use the app outside the U.S., but I am well within the U.S. Huge mess.

Why is sometimes the text are delayed? Good app but text sometimes don’t come for many hours.

It really works! Download their app to your iPhone called "Text Free". Free unlimited texting on a new number. I even used it to send and receive pics. This is super useful if you don't want to give out your real number. However, if you don't use the app (inactive) for 30 days. They take away the number from you. That can either be bad or good depending on what you're using their services for. Good if you wanted a new number anyway. Bad if you wanted a stable side number.
It's amazing that this service is FREE!
