Ripped me off after hurricane.
My roof was damaged by Helene. I had a new roof installed by Pisgah Roofing.
I had previously received a quote from them, as I was considering a roof replacement because I am selling my home this year. They honored their original price quote.
They used unskilled workers to install the roof and seriously rushed the job, which was botched from the beginning. One of their employees told me they hired a bunch of inexperienced workers after Helene.
They said they would deal with my insurance about additional required repairs, but they NEVER communicated with my insurance company and failed to do all needed repairs.
They significantly damaged a gutter (it was non-functional), and didn't repair it for 4 weeks. If I hadn't constantly demanded they deal with it, it would have been much longer.
They completely botched the installation on a section of the roof- unable to include photos:
• They failed to replace a rotted fascea board behind the gutters, and damaged roof decking. They assured me they would repair anything needed.
• The roof did not reach the gutters in one section, resulting in water flowiing behind the gutter and ice buildup. I had to have someone remove the gutter, fix the rotted fascea, and replace the gutter at my expense.
• The edges of the OSB roof decking were completely exposed, no drip edge, no flashing, and there is no drip edge over the back door, which I had requested and they said they would install. Such poor quality work.
The first time we got rain, THE ROOF LEAKED, damaging my ceiling. Two folks with broken english came to do repairs on the roof- I couldn't really understand what they told me. They stole a steel pail from my yard to contain their discarded screws and put it in my trash bin, and left loose screws on my deck and in my yard, where my dog goes.
Lacking any faith in the integrity of the roof, I hired an inspector. His report (unable to attach) shows that the roof was improperly installed. He told me if it was his roof he would seek a full refund and get a new roof.
I sent the report to Pisgah April 29, requesting a full refund, and did not get a response until May 6, when they left me a message saying they would have to get their own inspection. I have not heard from them since, even though I called and left a message asking for an update.
