PK Grills (Portable Kitchen) was born in 1952 in Tyler, Texas, when inventor Hilton Meigs crafted what many still consider the perfect charcoal grill — a thick-walled cast aluminum cooker that conducts heat four times better than steel, never rusts, and lasts for generations. The design was so good that original 1950s PK Grills are still cooking today. After decades of dormancy, founder Paul James rediscovered one at a garage sale and knew it deserved a second life. PK Grills was reborn — handcrafted in Little Rock, Arkansas, from American-made parts. Today, PK Grills is the choice of backyard pitmasters, competitive BBQ champions, and culinary legends like Aaron Franklin. Our iconic capsule shape and four-way venting system give you precise control for both hot-and-fast grilling and low-and-slow smoking — all from one beautifully built grill. We don't make grills you replace every few years. We make grills you pass down. Every PK is hand-poured, hand-finished, and built to outlast trends, weather, and time itself. This isn't just a grill. It's a family heirloom in the making.

Lovin' the OG
I love my PK and the new parts to give her a small tune up. The PK Grill is fine, I simply want to replace my sliders and grill grate with newer versions.
Maybe one day I will replace my PK Original, but not today :). The OG is my workhorse.

Thank you for your review Maybeth! Shannon is awesome!
Grill good, bundle not so much
I was a little disappointed that the bundle went on sale less than 12 hours after my order, so I spent$239 extra! Assembly was okay, except for the posts on top not lining up very well. I also thought I would get a thermometer in the bundle, but I just got the cover, charcoal basket and coozies. I have a thermometer anyway, but that seems like a lot of money for those 3 items. Grill seems nice - sturdy, heavy. Haven’t gotten to use it yet.

Hi Eric, Thank you so much for letting us know! I'm so sorry that we missed the thumbscrew on your order. We're shipping one to you today.
Great service from the PK Grill store
It’s easy to review what’s available on your website. My Original PK grill needed a new charcoal grate. Over about 7 years the old one had warped quite a bit, so airflow under the charcoal wasn’t good. I just kept cooking though. I’ve never owned a grill I liked more. The new grate is as advertised and works well. I should have replaced the old one sooner! Your shipping was quick and your notifications were timely. Thank you!
