As then bride….I’ll start by saying planning a destination wedding from Virginia Beach, VA to Ericeira, Portugal is incredibly overwhelming, but working with Teresa made the entire experience something I wouldn’t ever give up. Not only did she make one of the most stressful times of a brides life a joy, she became family by the end. Everything was absolutely seamless when it mattered most, fun even in the simplest moments, and most importantly made the most stressful overwhelming moments just a brief moment of time. Teresa has multiple gifts, but keeping a bride calm is definitely one of them. From the very beginning, she was organized, dedicated, and completely invested in bringing my perfectionist vision to life. Even while just recently launching her new business, Teresa went above and beyond- Traveling between countries, cities, and states to make my dream a reality. She showed up prepared for every single moment, ensuring every details was thoughtfully and thoroughly handled.

One of the most meaningful parts of working with Teresa was her local knowledge and connections in Portugal. She introduced us to vendors who felt personal and intentional, not just run-of-the-mill choices. Those relationships made a huge difference in our overall experience. One worth pointing out was our DJ creating a special video for our guests, highlighting the journey from Virginia Beach to Portugal and sharing meaningful moments all in between — a moment we will never forget. This really showed a unique touch to PlanitPortugal and a small piece of who Teresa is as a person, and what she reflects in a planner as a whole.

Teresa’s heart and passion for the job is more than you could ever imagine. Everyone’s visions and expectations will be different, but no matter what that vision may be, Teresa’s heart will beat with you. Teresa exceeded every expectation. From start to finish, no matter how early it how late, she showed up with a glowing smile and brought every ounce of positivity and sparkle to the room. Her professionalism, care, and attention to details allowed us to fully enjoy our dream day without an out of stress or hesitation. I trusted her completely and she truly exceeded every expectation of mine and my families. I would more than recommend Teresa to be your wedding planner. She genuinely cares from the bottom of her heart about her client and their families.
We already miss her dearly and can’t wait for our next travels using PlanitPortugal.

As the mother of the bride, I was the one who hired Teresa Jones of A Plan It Portugal, and I can say without hesitation that it was one of the best decisions we made throughout the entire wedding process.

Planning a destination wedding in Ericeira, Portugal from afar could have been overwhelming, but Teresa brought immediate calm, clarity, and confidence. Her professionalism, organization, and deep knowledge of Portugal were evident from the very beginning. She handled every detail with precision while always being thoughtful, responsive, and reassuring.

Teresa worked seamlessly with vendors, managed timelines flawlessly, and ensured that nothing was overlooked. On the wedding day, everything unfolded beautifully and effortlessly. As a mother, there is no greater gift than being able to relax, enjoy the celebration, and truly be present for your child—Teresa made that possible.

We had a wonderful holiday in Portugal last month, staying in Valley House which was perfect in every way.. very cozy and quiet. The village is busy in July and August but it was very peaceful in September. The weather was still very warm, there was a water swimming facility walking distance from the house. We made day trips to nearby towns through the picturesque mountains and enjoyed variety of local cuisine and markets. Teresa was a wonderful host looking after us so well. Very recommended!

What an amazing few days we spent in Foz de Moura near the Serra da Estrella. The Airbnb was comfortable, full of rustic charm, well equipped and ideal as a base to explore the area. Teresa was a brilliant guide, very knowledgeable and with lots of ideas of where to go locally including Mourisia and Coja. She also shared some hidden gems with us, like the secret waterfall. We were lucky too in that all the local villages were hosting festivals next to the local freshwater spring pools. We would highly recommend Teresa and Planit Portugal - we will be back.

We had an amazing time in Sintra! We had friends visiting us from the states so we wanted to make sure they had an extra special time! Teresa gave us so many things for us to choose from for a two day getaway trip! The palace was absolutely beautiful all the small castles and château and winding roads! Breathtaking views, all of it was spectacular! The restaurants that she recommended, all local non-tourist area, were amazing and it felt like we were eating dinner with family! We look forward to going back in the spring to complete the list of things she gave us to see. I hope you enjoy Portugal as much as we do!! Obrigado!!

Planit Portugal arranged a tour for us late summer that turned out to be a lot of fun and sightseeing. Easy flight from NY to Lisbon. Teresa speaks native Portuguese and interpreted for us the times we needed translation, like in authentic restaurants off the beaten path. However, English is spoken at most places we visited. The beautiful old buildings were incredible to see. We walked many cobblestone streets exploring little villages as well as Lisbon. Teresa’s husband Ben arranged a car and toured us through so many different areas. I appreciated that Teresa worked with us to do different things each day and had a lot of great ideas to choose from. We could have let her plan out everything in advance, but we rather enjoyed hearing their suggestions for the day. I’ve been to several European countries but it was my first time in Portugal and I will definitely return. I would be interested in booking through Planit Portugal again because they had so many ideas on what we might enjoy, and they were right on.

Husband and I toured north/central Portugal with Teresa and Ben, owners of PlanIt Portugal, our wonderful hosts. We stayed in the tiny village of Barriguero in a small house overlooking a river. We attended the yearly village festival for a weekend of food, bands, and games. August was hot, but the dry heat wasn’t an issue there, and we thoroughly enjoyed spending the evenings outdoors. We also spent 2 days in Agroal swimming in a pristine dammed up river, with a bar/grill on the beach. We are excited to hear that Teresa and Ben will soon offer a house rental in that area as well. I really enjoyed shopping, dining, and a gondola ride in Aveiro. Driving was crazy going up the mountainsides, but the views were breathtaking, and Ben drove for us during our stay. Food was so fresh and relatively inexpensive. We tried everything from suckling pig to whitefish to charcoal grilled sardines. The espresso served everywhere costs only about $1 US. I can’t wait to return to tour a different area, maybe on the seashore. I would definitely book again with PlanIt Portugal.
