I want to express my deepest gratitude to officers working in the Missing Persons Unit of Gloucestershire Constabulary (in particular - Bee Bailey and Sarah Williams) for their exceptional professionalism, compassion, and dedication during the recent search for my son. From the first moment I spoke with Bee, I was met with understanding, patience, and genuine empathy. She listened without judgment, allowed me to speak freely, and never interrupted or dismissed my concerns. In a situation filled with fear and uncertainty, her integrity, calm, and humane approach made an enormous difference. The same can be said for Sarah, who shared those same qualities that are crucial to positive outcomes. These officers were not just performing a job — they were carrying out a vital public service that restores hope to families in crisis. Their ability to balance procedure with compassion was rare and invaluable. They treated my son’s case with seriousness and care, and they treated me as a parent, not just a name on a report.I understand that public funding is always under scrutiny, and although Missing Persons Unit in Gloucestershire was restored in 2025 after previously being withdrawn - departments like this are often at risk of being reduced or withdrawn again. But I can say from my own personal experience that this particular Unit is an essential part of Gloucestershire’s policing framework. They are the bridge between families, the system, and the human connection that keeps people from falling through the cracks. To the officers who helped me: thank you for your dedication, your kindness, and your professionalism. You are an asset to Gloucestershire, and I hope your work continues to receive the recognition and support it deserves.

Shocking, spent 1 hour on waiting to speak to Police

The Police seem to pick & choose who and what they deal with. when a public member phones for advice or report something thats not urgent, I wated 1 hour and 3x the call hung up on me as I belive timed out.

This is DISGUSTING service from the police.
they seem to care about trying their luck on small business and individuals, they tried on me on 2 charges, and were dismissed on a failed case in court.
BUT when I am trying to report a crime, its impossible to reach them.

No wonder why the public HATE the police.

8Hello, I had a problem with someone at my place, I called police so helpful, I was very happy, I called, when to police station for update, was told ongoing. Weeks later I get a call saying in custody & they will let me know in a few weeks. No less than 12 hours. No call from police. He showed up at my house threatening me, police say very busy in 3 days I can make a Complaint or whatever. If I die. he know marcel arts, he said was in the "army" has Killed people. So because police I guess if I'm hospitalised or DEAD may do something if not Busy I guess. I called police. Didn't try call "people" or anything supposedly stupid. After reading this, You decide which way is right. Because I don't understand Y police didn't do anything. So Hope when I'm gone please I guess tell the police. FRANKLIN ANDERSON did it. They may do something if not busy. P. S Do not help anyone. I did, if helping them out. They want to end me nice. They say put Good out, it comes back. RALLY.

I was sexually abused aged (6-12yr) as a cadet in “st John ambulance” I reported it 40 years later (now 49) and struggling with my mental health.
5 officers in charge and now has been passed to the “boss/Sergeant or CPS” after four years.
As you should know, most NCO‘s (non-commissioned officers) and above, inspectors, superintendent, & of course judges, MPs and Lords are full of the masons (the Masonic Lodge) these people take an oath to help and protect their members.
All the time that their members are getting MBE’s, OBE’s, Lord/Ladyships, they are growing stronger.

This police force is only focused on stealing your vehicles. They stole my car although I had roadtax mot and car insurance. I went to Blackburn police station 3 times to show my documents but they failed to return my car. Lancashire police behave like the IDF and are full of corrupt officers and sargeants. Its about time the police commissioner investigates complaints and gets rid of the corrupt officers. They work in cahoots with judges and CPS to supress your evidence after creating repeated false cases against you. Don't hire a solicitor or after wrongfully convicting you They will get the legal aid agency to place a 30 -40 k charging order on your property. Read the 12 presumptions of cannons law. Do not speak to them remain silent do not engage and don't let them in your home, they cannot be trusted. They assaulted me in my home and created false case of assaulting an officer and ended my contact at the contact centre by working with a corrupt social worker Victoria Webster who got her freind Tom Wignall to create false cases of neglect and perverting the course of justice against me so he got full custody. D.C Tom Wignall suppressed all the evidence and was assisted to do this by a corrupt judge and COS, These are the tactics this corrupt police, judges and CPS are using. TOTALLY CORRUPT, LIARS AND RHIEVES!!!

North Yorkshire police institutionally corrupt/racist I have experienced antisemitism from them. You say that report was for scotland yard, yes it was, but after getting his degree the chief constable of north yorkshire police rose up the ranks of scotland yard to get where he is today.

Tonight two thieves broke into my nieghbours garage and tried to steal his motorbike, we both responded and i was threatened with a battery angle grinder, luckily i have no common sense and chased off the scum with an offer to teach baseball. Regardless.... Durham Constabulary are basically just a bunch of thumb-twiddlers that are willing to talk and listen, but refuse to do anything about road rage and anti-social behaviour. As a result, the area's local Chimpanzees, Troglodytes etc. drive past, shouting God know's what and will keep doing so, because there is simply no consequence. Passengers also do it regularly. Frankly, if there's a people-carrier carrying 7 people, I'd be surprised if they weren't all thinking of doing so, too. If this continues, there might well be mini-buses containing 30+ that will simply just have to join in on the quest to become one with the animal kingdom.

The problem with all this? I have video evidence and audio evidence of more than 8 incidents. The Police simply cannot be bothered. All they do is gather details about victims. I see this as preparing for some form of escalation, as Humans are ultimately driven by revenge, hate and anger. Fair enough, prepare, analyse, point the finger.... But, at least do something about these reports that have genuine video evidence.

Spending north of 2000 on the technology for reporting these ignorant, uneducated, cave-dwelling, banana-chomping morons is idiotic when the endpoint (Police, council, whoever) are all completely useless.

The Police will never do anything about it and there is no alternative service or indiiduals that can. Humans are more abusive and moronic than ever. If the Police want to avoid bloodshed and real violence, then it starts with the 'offenses' that are contrued as minor. I'm not going to pretend I haven't thought of doing something about the individuals that have shouted abuse. I have and more than once. This wil only escalate until alternative measures are in place or they get off their behinds and wake up.

I have zero confidence that reporting anything will result in a prosecution, or even a telling off.

I have reported all this no investigation, last year, young women moved in next door, started going out with youngest daughters Coral, thay met at Rugby tournaments, young women moved in, couple mouths later, youngest daughter started going out with Man and young women disappeared, dad of Coral Carl Luck who runs local pub Spring head at Mont Tabor Halifax, told all his customers in pub that she tried to hanging herself and phoned friend to come get her, and Carl made out she went back to where she lived in another town! You would of phoned police if you caught her trying to hang herself you would get proper care and treatment for this young women but this didn't not happen. All customers at spring head pub know about women as she worked behind bar, all photos have disappeared of Women from Facebook advertising page for there Bussines String head head pub. I believe she uncovered pedophiles at this address lower Edge farm, Grindle Stone Bank HX2 0TR Halifax the same as me, this is why trying to take my life, with other people from local area. I thought humberside police was the worst but Lincolnshire Police have got to be up there as well they have no duty of care they're not bothered when you report a crime they just don't care about you they have no morals and do not stick to their job description

Wiltshire police (two officers) forced me to stop on a bike path, made me give my personal details, made me give access to my phone and drove me home for no reason. Would give them minus 100 stars that they deserve if I could - I’m so angry and upset with what they did.

They also contacted my parents telling lies that they were contacted that I was showing distress (walking up, down & waving hands) when I was not and was fine. (I was total stranger) They are covering up their misconduct by actually telling lies about me! That’s shocking behaviour and an absolute disgrace! It makes me so angry!

They made Mum come out of work at school, wasted her time in work and getting me in trouble with family members or worrying them when I didn’t do anything. They would have done it too any pedestrian alone. I already have mobility difficulties (transport not physical), so I don’t need them to make my world even smaller!

Me & all my family have been both walking and biking there multiple times before including in lockdown. I’ve been there before with family walking to shop /cafe without time wasting incompetent police officers who can’t find anything useful to do on their job apart from trying to cause as much distress as they possibly can to innocent pedestrians at which ever location they feel like.

We have National Cycle Network so people can use bike paths for exercise and / or to get too another town / location. It’s like going to the gym for the purpose of exercise. People pay to walk at places like Westonbirt and National Trust. What is wrong with these idiots in the police force?!

The bridge is literally for walkers / cyclists not even a car bridge. It’s better to not have a bridge if you are not allowed to use it. It’s ridiculous! The bridge is there for a reason which is not there for the police to ruin your day! In Highway Code they have no right!
I will have to now cross road with family maybe with a bike to protect me from them! This is leading to fear and inability to access certain areas. It’s scary and intimidating; they’re police.

Someone could have even been walking to work at somewhere like the shops or cafe down there and they made them miss work! There are also a few houses and you can walk / cycle to other towns. It’s totally unacceptable and out of order! What is wrong with these low life scum bags!? Idiots! It’s ludicrous - they can’t take you home and make your family stop their work when ever they feel like! It’s also none of their business where I’m going.

Two individuals involved should have faced disciplinary procedures. They should be fined on their wages then given to me for compensation for wasting their working hours and taxpayers money to ruin the day of innocent pedestrians rather than investigating criminals.

They were even going to contact and lie to my doctors about my behaviour and health till I complained! Makes me absolutely furious; they are meant to be police officers, they can’t lie but yet this and many other reviews show they do!😡

My sister’s boyfriend’s brother even also had problems with police not letting you walk where you want to! My mum said why you’re not aloud to walk there if it’s not someone’s house estate. What is their problem with these idiots in police, people can walk anywhere in Highway Code they want and they certainly don’t have a right to stop you and take you home because they are lying about your behaviour! It’s absolutely ludicrous you can go where you want!

How negative the reviews are on here shows everything you need to know about police force. Stopping then harassing me on streets & family on phone for nothing and not investigating crime. They are a waste of our money and time.

I didn't actually realize you could rate a police force on this platform till recently, hence the delay.

I was staying at the Methuen Arms, Corsham and the first night went to their restaurant for dinner. I was disappointed with the poor food, especially for the high price and complained in a reasonable manner (realizing it is not the server's fault). The server said I could order something else and I did, but this was almost worse.

I did not shout, swear or in any way draw attention to this (and in any case, at 6:30 pm the restaurant was almost empty). The server fetched the duty manager. She was totally unsympathetic and even though I did not, for example, say I was not going to pay for the food, she suddenly said after about 2 minutes into the interaction, that I was to leave the hotel and that she was calling the police. Of course, I was surprised and said I would wait for them because I couldn't see any reason for this reaction. All I had done was calmly complain about the standard of the food.

The police duly arrived pronto, and said it was reported that I had displayed "an aggressive demeanour". They agreed I had not raised my voice, used any obscenities or racist language against any individual but it had been reported that whilst talking, I had slapped my hand on the table (which I denied - I did not do this). They said two witnesses had confirmed this 'hand slapping' (being so early, the restaurant only had one other table occupied in a far corner out of earshot of mine) so these so-called "witnesses" would only have been the server. There was no one else present so there was no second witness.

I rather sarcastically said to the two officers "so no burglaries or shop-lifting this evening?" and one responded that if called out they had to respond!!

I was escorted to my room, the woman officer packed my things and I was escorted off the premises - very humiliating. To be fair, one of the officers did say, as an aside, they had never been called out for such a thing before - I think trying to make me feel better. They had already ordered a taxi and I was obliged to get in and sent to a hotel in an adjoining town - no idea where I was going as I was unfamiliar with the area.

To make matters worse, this other hotel had no vacancies when I arrived, and it was only the kindness of the receptionist, ringing round, that I wasn't forced to sleep on the street. This horrible incident completely ruined my short holiday.

I wonder what this hour or so total of police time plus presumably follow up (which I was told was going to happen, including viewing body cam) cost the tax payer? I am very surprised police time could be so wasted without assessing the situation beforehand.

Incidentally, the officers said they could not charge me with anything or even issue a caution, as no crime or offence had been committed.

Later on I got some semblance of an apology from someone at Butcombe Breweries customer services, who offered me, as partial compensation for stress caused, a meal voucher to be used at any of their outlets. She also offered to meet me for coffee to discuss the situation. Both of these I politely declined.

Btw, I am a 76 year old woman with mobility issues.

Lazy Cheshire Police...

Where to start, well, recently we have been harassed by the same children who have a habit of creating ASBs where I live. I have reported it to them twice over the past few weeks and got a phone call saying that their 'Beat Team' will be in contact within a week... 2 weeks later nothing.

Not the first time we've had this issue, we had issues with both ASBs and drug use/sales in the evening times that have been reported to Cheshire police and no patrols or contact back over the past 15 years.

The only time I've had them visit was when a CCTV camera was stolen and vandalised, and caught the people in the act, they took the footage and knew the people involved. I got a reference number and a evident slip and nothing came from it months later, no contact back, nothing.

I understand they are shrinking the force to concentrate on 'Serious and Organised crimes' yet they can't even be bothered to be organised to investigate ASBs during the evening times correctly.

Failed to investigate crimes over a long time including attempted murder harassment perverting the course of justice nhs fraud tampering with medical tests and records and when I tried to log a formal complaint against the police for failing to investigate they refused they are now sending unmarked cars and transit vans to my home to stalk me scary creepy fraudulent corrupt criminal law breaking communist county, couldn't get a more selfish self centred county, I'm ashamed to be an uk resident with police that seem to be more crooked than the so called criminals they are supposed to be arresting! I've no doubt that I will be likely getting further physical and mental stodge assault attacks stalking and harassment from their narks placed all throughout society as i suspect has been going on for decades, "society" what a joke nothing social or sociable about this country where everone who complained ONLY TO TRY TO RECTIFY F UPS making a better place for all having their rights fraudulently stolen and then being subjected to something like criminal torture jail them! Why us nothing being done about the new law that was brought in about ileagal scooters ,sick of them and bikes & motor bikes ,all electric and tearing along footpaths and main roads like its a speedway track & they always wear ski masks .Do you not know they are use on private land with permission.
The rule is parents get 3 points & £300 fine.
I have seen one on the footpath ,me doing 30 in 30mile limit i was overtaken by a scooter on the footpath.
Other things like 2 up on bikes wearing ski masks with bolt cutters on their shoulder at 4pm in the afternoon,and grasstrack
bikes passing me on the footpath with 3yr old sittung on the petrol tank,he left the footpath ,too a blind bend on wrong side of the road.WHAT ARE WE PAYING YOU FOR.
Update 18th Feb Newburn traffic lights on RED ,a bloody kid on electric scooter ignored the lights ,overtook us and turned left to Newburn bridge .
