Traumatizing experience
I went to a concert at Poolen to see the blaze and leaving the venue was honestly one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at any event.
When the concert ended and people started heading to the cloakroom, the crowd control was nonexistent. We were basically crushed by the people behind us just trying to get our jackets. It felt genuinely unsafe.
The cloakroom itself was total chaos. Jackets were everywhere, many without number tags, some literally on the floor. Staff were pulling jackets off hangers and letting others fall down without putting them back. There was no organization, no system, nothing. I had only four people in front of me and it still took 1 hour and 20 minutes to get a few jackets back. Completely unacceptable.
I’ve never experienced such a disorganized and stressful exit from a venue in my life. What should have been a fun night ended in frustration and a dangerous crowd situation. Poolen seriously needs to rethink how they manage cloakroom and crowd flow after concerts.
