They sent someone out to pick up a sofa, the van was not big enough for the sofa. They only had 2 people to do the job and they did not treat the sofa well. Avoid

Sorry to hear you were unhappy. We’ve looked into this booking in detail.
The job was booked as a ground floor collection with a two person crew. On the day, the sofa was several flights up, and the team carried it down anyway rather than turning the job away. It was wrapped in blankets for transit, which our collection photos confirm.
At delivery, the sofa was larger than the entrance to the property. The team spent around 45 minutes trying to get it inside before placing it where we were asked to. Crew size is chosen at booking, and checking that an item fits through the access at both addresses is the customer’s responsibility, as set out in our terms.
If the sofa has been damaged, we’ve already invited you to submit a claim with photos and we’ll review it fairly.

Excellent. Received good communication from Ruslanas prior to collection and he arrived on time. Very respectful of my property and the piece of antique furniture he was collecting. Highly recommend.

Booked a collection for a Thursday AM…
Booked a collection for a Thursday AM delivery as the seller had taken the morning off so the collection could be made.
Day before rang Porta just to check everything going ahead was assured it was
Thursday morning no communication had to chase them and was assured the collection would take place.
Then received a WhatsApp to say the team can't make it and could it be done the next day I declined as the seller would be at work
Left me scrambling around trying to find another carrier
Please do not rely on this company
Communication is poor and no updates you have to chase them
Will not use again

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, and I am sorry this didn’t go to plan.
This was a large three wheeled motorbike, which is a specialist job, and on this occasion we weren’t able to arrange a suitable courier for the Thursday morning slot despite our best efforts. We did offer alternative days that would have worked, but I completely understand that with the seller only available that morning, those weren’t an option for you.
I also take on board your comments about communication. You shouldn’t have had to chase us. Normally our communication is frequent and proactive and so something was missed here and we are sorry.
I truly hope you managed to get the bike collected, and if you ever want to give us another try, please get in touch via email and we’d be happy to help.

everything was easy - the price was the best I was quoted, the transaction was financially secure, the pick-up driver (Sorin) was delightful and helpful. She responded to messages, arrived when she said she would, and went out of her way to deliver the item at the recipients convenience.

Amazing company
Amazing company, fast, reliable, easy to use and excellent care and communication.
From other companys charging me £140+ I was ever so shocked when i found Porta, who delivered my heavy parcel the VERY NEXT DAY at a time that suited myself and the Ebay person I bought my table from - it being too vig to fit in my car for under £60.
But oh my word, they picked up my request, connected me to a driver who messaged in a timely manor and was just all around lovely - big up Pete K - and then had the perfect decency to take the rest of the money on delivery completion. Top notch, fantastic company, lovely driver, beautiful service. Honestly i am so happy, and so is my back !

Excellent service and communication throughout. Contact information re collection/ delivery drivers is made available and really helps. Drivers give accurate and precise timings and are readily contactable.
The guitar I was purchasing was very nicely wrapped and looked and sounded like it had a great journey.
I 100% recommend this service.

The whole process was nice and easy. The driver once allocated was communicative and turned up when he said. He easily packed up my sofa and my mother at the other end of the delivery said he was really helpful and lovely delivering the item.

I would like to thank Pete from Porta Delivery, who was brilliant. He collected my TV without any fuss and somehow managed to get it delivered to my friend's house on the very same day, which was a great surprise. I’ve used Porta Delivery’s several times and on each occasion communication has been very good between me and the delivery person and the costs is very reasonable. I’ve had large furniture delivered and all received with no issues. There website is easy to follow and once the job is arranged the process is straightforward. Excellent highly recommended.
We use Porta all the time. You can get a quote within 30 seconds book it and they are on it . We have never ever been let down by them. The couriers always message introduce themselves they are so efficient. Even if you make a mistake with your booking online and have to call them the customer service is second to none they are brilliant. Highly recommend
