Poor delivery
Bought a part, with the website saying 1-2 days delivery (main reason for purchase).. it took them 2 days to dispatch and 4 days later , still no sign of part.. disappointed. If your looking for time sensitive parts, I would look elsewhere ..

Thank you for the reply to my review. unfortunately, you are incorrect … the order was placed on the Wednesday and you did not process it until Friday, I can verify this for you with the order confirmation your website sent me and my credit card statement, I believe you are getting the Friday date from the dispatch notification .. Also on the order confirmation was the expected delivery time, which I would have expected to reflect the actual delivery time to the address

As your order was being delivered to Northern Ireland, it was sent via a 3–5 working day service. To try and minimise delays, we dispatched the item as quickly as possible. Please also note that the order was placed on a Friday, and as we are closed over the weekend, Saturday and Sunday are not counted as working days.
We understand how important timely delivery can be, especially for time-sensitive parts, and we apologise for any disappointment caused. We hope this helps to clarify the delivery timeframe and appreciate your understanding.

Very helpful staff at Alcester office
Very helpful staff at Alcester office. Prompt delivery, 3 days via Parcel Force,well packaged. Only slight problem was I chose to order fuse holder + fuses, only to find the inverter had an internal fuse. There was no mention of this in website description of the unit. Re order PPS 13919.

Warranty isn't worth the paper it's written on
Bought a Exide car battery about 3.5 years ago with a 4 year warranty. Just before Christmas the battery started playing up and went totally dead because of the holidays dropped the battery off on 2nd Jan and was advised that if it was below a certain voltage they wouldn't exchange this by the way was before even checking the battery. Fast forward to 17th Jan get an email stating battery is dead and won't exchange. Now Sherlock I even knew that but took these guys and their 2000000 square foot warehouse 2 weeks to work that out. I should have just gone to Halfords.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We’re sorry to hear about your frustration with the outcome of the warranty assessment, particularly given the timing around the holiday period.
To provide some clarity, the battery was returned to Exide for formal testing in line with their warranty process. Exide’s report confirmed the following: “Battery received at less than 1V. This battery is completely sulphated and has been subject to some extreme heating, this is visible on the outer casing.” Based on these findings, the battery does not meet the manufacturer’s criteria for a warranty replacement.
We provided the full test report to you on email.
While we appreciate that the battery was still within the stated warranty period, all claims are subject to the manufacturer’s test results and conditions, and this decision was made by Exide rather than in-store.
The delay you experienced was unfortunately due to the Christmas and New Year shutdown, which extended turnaround times across testing and supplier support. We understand this was disappointing and apologise for the inconvenience caused.

Solar Panels for Pick Up
Ordered some solar panels over Christmas and knew they were closed over this period. Picked up early January. The guys had them all ready and helped load them. Very good service. Have used many times before and will use again.

I haven't even received it yet. The courier told me they had my order and that it would be delivered on Friday 9th January and they would let me know when it was out for delivery, as of yet I haven't I heard from them.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We feel it’s important to clarify the timeline and circumstances surrounding this order.
The battery was ordered on Wednesday afternoon, after our same-day dispatch cut-off. It was therefore dispatched the following day, Thursday, by our warehouse team and collected by DHL at approximately 1:00pm on a tracked next-day service.
Unfortunately, due to severe snowfall in the Midlands on the evening of 8th January, a large number of outbound shipments from DHL’s depot were delayed by one working day. This disruption was entirely outside of both our control and DHL’s.
While the vast majority of our orders do arrive the next working day, we clearly advertise delivery as 1–2 working days to allow for unforeseen circumstances such as this. The battery was delivered on Monday morning, which was within this advertised timeframe.
We would also like to note that I personally contacted you by email at 11:50pm on Saturday night to proactively communicate the delay.
We’re sorry that the delivery did not meet your expectations on this occasion, but we’re confident the order was processed correctly and delivered within our stated delivery terms.
