I recently had the pleasure of taking driving lessons with Philip, and I can confidently say that he is the best instructor I’ve come across, having tried several others before. His knowledge is unparalleled, and he is incredibly precise in his training. The constructive feedback he provides is always spot-on — while he can be critical at times, it’s always meaningful and helps me improve.

His professionalism stands out, and it’s clear that he’s not driven by money, but by a genuine care for his students' success. He focuses on principles and really knows how to get you ready for the test. His approach is focused, and he made me feel confident and well-prepared.

Additionally, his car — an Audi A3 — is in excellent condition, well-maintained, and a pleasure to drive. His fee is also reasonable compared to others in the market, and it's absolutely worth it for the level of training you receive.

If you’re looking for an instructor who truly cares about your progress and wants to see you succeed, I highly recommend Prep2Pass. I would say, just go for it without a second thought!

Excellent teaching, passed on my first test.

Did an intensive course of 35 hours in 2-3 weeks and passed first time today! Couldn't have asked for a better instructor!! I was a very nervous driver who has put off driving for 10 years. My instructor this time was nice and calm throughout all the lessons and made the experience so enjoyable that I actually looked forward to driving (which I never thought was possible). He was super helpful and happy to go through things as much as I needed and I never felt rushed. The lessons were worth every penny and I would recommend to anyone looking for an instructor, especially if they want to pass safe but quickly (especially recommend for the anxious and low confidence drivers). If I could rate this experience 5 stars I would.

I got assigned to Philip he was absolutely lovely from start to finish..I completed 40 hours with him, always on time, professional and a very clean car. Couldn’t have asked for a better instructor and he helped me build my confidence on the road and thanks to him I went and passed today first time 🙌 would highly recommend him to absolutely anyone.

Philip was an amazing last minute instructor! He came ALL the way to Colchester from London to help me out. He was prompt and on time with a clean and ready car. Meeting him for the first time an hour before, was initially nerving but then once he throughly explained how his car works, did a few manoeuvres ( helped me adapt my reference from previous to his car ) it was bless from there, smooth sailing ! He further instilled my confidence in myself! Thank you again! I would 100% recommend.

I had 2 different driving instructors previously and he was by far the best one I’ve ever had! He has incredible patience and is very calm in every situation which helped massively to calm my nerves and built my confidence leading to a first time pass!

I would 100% recommend as he is very knowledgeable, adaptable and has a teaching style that puts you at ease.

I have found Philip after failing my first practical test.

Before him it was a very stressful experience with another 5-STAR supposed to be renown Driving School in Southend. I don't want to go into detail but with them after the 5th lesson I wanted to quit and not drive ever again, mind you I have been driving Automatic for 30 years, just wanted/needed to switch to Manual gears. It took me 5 months and 30 hours before I was given an OK to take a driving test. It was apparent that I have been stitched.

Soon as I failed the test I immediately looked for another school/instructor. After an assessment session
Philip pointed out a couple of minor habits that I needed and assured that I would pass the next test. We spent a block of 10 hours, which he would go through my mistakes and proper manoeuvres that would pass the test by repeating the moves again and again until muscle memory kicks in. All the fine details of where and what to look at to make the perfect turns and parking, and theories behind them. Even better we went through all the test routes so I would be familiar with them, ALL DONE IN 10 HOURS AND 5 DAYS! I ended up having him in the back seat during my test which I didn't even want the last instructor to be near me.

He is always calm, clear and professional. Moreover I could tell that he really loves and respects driving and would like his students to be the same way. That enjoyment of driving is back again!

I just passed my test yesterday and have already asked him to do Pass Plus with me, I can't wait to learn more!

It is a hit and miss when it comes to finding instructors, some just want to get paid, and some really want you to do well. I hope my experience will help some of you here, without being ripped off. One taker, big renown schools not necessarily good, you see 5 stars, go and read the 1 stars, you will be surprised.

His lessons were great, like even when I was nervous driving to the test. He knew how to keep me calm. Made sure I was 100% test ready. He was always on time and made sure lessons were flexible for me

Philip is a fantastic driving instructor.
He is very calm, patient and informative.
I looked forward to my lessons every week and could see myself progressing quickly.
He was also very flexible and could fit me in for lessons when suited me.
I used to feel anxious about driving but Philip put me at ease and massively improved my confidence. I was able to pass my test first time with him thanks to all his help and tips and tricks.

Philip was my driving instructor and he honestly was the reason I was able to build confidence and pass my test. He was always patient with me and explained things so well until I grasped them . He really made me do prepared for my test and I couldn’t thank him more.

Phil singlehandedly helped me pass my test. My initial instructor stopped giving me lessons just a month before the test and I was panicking. When I found Phil, he instantly started noting down my strong points and skills that I come short of. I passed after 20 hours with Philip. It was instantly clear he was well experienced through his patience, clear explanations and attentiveness to my needs. He's also very easy to get on with which helped me get comfortable behind the wheel quickly. I had another driving instructor previously, but since starting with Philip I saw how much difference a great instructor can make. I cannot recommend him highly enough - any student of his will do amazing!
