Warning: Extra Charges on the Spot and Incomplete Cleaning
I booked an end of tenancy clean for £169, which was clearly described as a full deep clean to a high standard, ready for letting agent inspection. This sounded fair and professional, so I went ahead.
On the day, once the team arrived, I was told the property condition was “worse than expected” and that an additional £50 was required to proceed. With the team already on-site and waiting, I felt put on the spot and had little real choice but to agree. This kind of last-minute price increase, after arrival, is not something I’ve experienced before and didn’t feel right.
The biggest issue, however, is the final result.
Even after paying extra, the clean did not meet the standard that was originally promised. The carpets were left visibly dirty, and when I raised this, I was told that deep carpet cleaning is a separate service. That may be the case, but it was never clearly explained upfront, especially when the service was marketed as a “full end of tenancy clean ready for inspection.”
So effectively:
The price increased after arrival
I paid more under pressure
And the job still wasn’t completed to the expected standard
If additional charges are required to complete the job properly, then the outcome should reflect that. In this case, it didn’t.
To be fair, communication before booking was quick and polite, and the team themselves were professional in manner. But the pricing approach and lack of clarity around what is actually included is a serious concern.
My advice to anyone considering this company: Get a very clear, written breakdown of exactly what is included and what is not before they arrive. Otherwise, you may find yourself being asked for more money on the spot, with limited options to refuse.
Unfortunately, based on my experience, I would not use this service again.
