I have always struggled with my weight…
I have always struggled with my weight and remember calorie counting and going to weight watchers from the age of 13 wth my mother. I was never hugely obese- maybe 2 stone overweight but because I'm only 5 foot 2 it shows. So decades of yo-yo dieting I'd tried them all- Atkins, slimming world, Dukan, cabbage soup, Cambridge and Lighterlife Life to name a few. They all worked but the weight came back and more as it always does. Prolongevity is a completely different approach- no calorie counting, no regimented programme. You just learn which foods to avoid using the CGM and tweak what you eat. For instance, I learnt that skimmed milk and sourdough wholemeal bread gave me high spikes of sugar, but semi skimmed/whole milk and certain types of bread didn't. I cut out those 'spiky'foods and the weight came off and I felt generally better, had more energy, better concentration, improved sleep and lost my sweet cravings and addiction to diet Coke. Although I wasn't on blood pressure medications or statins I would be heading that way as I have a strong family history of cardiovascular disease strokes and heart problems. Interestingly my psoriasis went too.Prolongevity is the future for bespoke nutritional and metabolic advice. No longer can you give generic advice to everyone- it has to be personalised. Graham has a wealth of knowledge and can also arrange microbiome analysis, sleep monitoring and exercise/ rehabilitation.
