I didn’t need to claim, so it’s hard to assess effectiveness.
However, you charging me extra £4 for !!! Posting me a letter !!! because my payment bounced is ridiculous.
You do have my number and a call doesn’t cost anything. So you could have just called me.
Otherwise- quite responsive call centre.

We appreciate your suggestion about calling customers, and we do understand how this could be helpful. However, it is not always practical for us to call every customer who has a failed payment. In addition, our experience has shown that many customers do not answer calls from unfamiliar numbers.
However we do value your feedback and will take your comments into consideration as we continue to review our communication methods.

I called Protectivity and they set the insurance up for me. It was a smooth process. I received a notification by email and after a year the policy was automatically renewed. I have haven't had to claim. They were recommended by a friend.

Crafter's insurance
I bought the crafter's insurance, which was very good value compared to other providers. Of course, I'll only be able to tell if it's adequate if I have to claim, and I hope I shall never have to! The one issue is that only one shop is covered for my products. At the moment that is not a problem, but I am consulting with several shops and it looks like I won't be covered for losses such as theft, if that occurs.
