Great service from start to finish. The transformation is amazing, had 3 new windows to start. Fitters were so careful in removing the old ones especially the bathroom ones not a broken or cracked tile in sight, had 2 large patio doors fitted from plan went in beautifully also a skylight made from plan fitted with no problems also goatleys supplied cladding and again fitters were excellent. Will certainly use goatleys again

I had my front door installed by R&D Goatley a number of years ago. Recently the excessive heat caused the door to misalign. I was going on holiday and I rang them to come and resolve it. They were around within the hour! When I was away my neighbour who was looking after the house also had issues with the door ( again due to the prolonged heat) and again they came round within the hour to resolve. The door works perfectly again! All I can say is this is impeccable after service from R&D Goatley. The after care service is undeniably brilliant! Thanks so much! Will always recommend you.

This is probably not how you're supposed to start a five-star review... but here goes...

When Simon Goatley first came to visit my home it was an instant no. Just no. I had contacted several window companies for quotes. When Simon arrived, he handed me his black and gold business card aka windscreen ice scraper, and all I could think was... everything looks a little too polished and expensive and I immediately started wondering how much of the quote was paying for the fancy branding.

Then the quote arrived... the most expensive. I knew it! Nope. Definitely. Not. Simon. I patted myself on the back, shoved the glossy brochure in the recycling and got on with comparing the cheaper quotes.

Except something rather irritating happened... the more I researched, the more Goatley windows aka Jim from Friday Night Dinner kept appearing at my open window with a “Hello Jackie”, waving that black 'n gold business card... and yes... I did have a panicked oh my gosh, I hope no one took the recycling out moment... when it's usually... why does no one but me ever take the recycling out!

With the help of AI (obvs), I researched sash windows to within an inch of their lives and something became increasingly apparent... annoyingly, Goatley kept coming out on top.

My flat occupies the upper two floors of a four-storey Victorian building, so installation wasn't straightforward. Other companies said they could fit without scaffolding. Simon wouldn't compromise on his fitters' safety or the quality of the installation. Goatley use their own fitters, not subcontractors, and that mattered to me.

Simon also explained things the cheaper quotes hadn't... including old sash boxes left behind from previous replacements and why redundant timber should be removed rather than simply hidden away. When I questioned the other companies, suddenly those cheaper quotes weren't looking so attractive. Then the penny dropped... Goatley weren't more expensive because of Simon's business cards... they were quoting to do the job properly. No cutting corners that would come back to bite me in the bum later.

And then there was Simon himself... the man I'd initially dismissed.

I became slightly obsessed with how the windows would look... conducting covert sash-window surveillance, driving around gawking at houses and even parking up staring at people's windows... “who the hell is that woman outside our house?”... oops... sorry!

Suddenly proportions, frames, horns and glass were VERY important. I went backwards and forwards to the showroom and probably tested Simon's patience... put the heating on Simon... Trini is gonna freeze... (surely you can afford it with the prices you charge)... and for heaven's sake... get a decent coffee machine.

Simon even came back to my home after work to explain things he'd already explained because I was getting confused. With my endless phone calls, he was endlessly patient. He is knowledgeable and was always very helpful, even when he didn't know if he had the job. There was never any pressure and somewhere along the way I realised I trusted him.

The project took longer than expected because of other building works I was having done, but Goatley worked around the changing situation.

When installation finally happened, I knew I'd made the right decision. The fitters were excellent... careful, tidy and with real attention to detail. They even came back to finish the little things. They're a credit to Goatley.

The windows are absolutely beautiful and the quality is exceptional.

Having been through the whole process, Goatley weren't the cheapest... BUT they were without a doubt the best... you get what you pay for.

Somewhat unexpectedly, the man I ruled out at our first meeting turned out to be exactly the person I should have chosen. Simon won my business rather than simply selling me some windows... they are not just windows, they are Goatley windows. And I love them.

I wouldn't hesitate to use Goatley again or recommend them.

We ordered a set of exceptionally large patio doors, which had to be specially made, and the whole experience was excellent. Despite the size and bespoke nature of the doors, they were made and ready far quicker than we expected.

The quality of the doors is incredible and has completely transformed the space. The installation was carried out brilliantly by a professional, careful and respectful team. They constantly hoovered and cleaned as they worked, leaving no dust or mess behind. They also removed and disposed of our old doors, making the whole process completely stress-free.

Jordan Goatley, who looked after us throughout, could not have been more helpful. He was always available to answer any questions and kept us fully informed at every stage.

The service, workmanship and quality have all been outstanding. We honestly cannot recommend this company highly enough.

The whole experience was was a pleasure from start to finish. Jordan and the team were so knowledgeable, listening to what we wanted but advising when needed and always available when we had questions.
Fitters were excellent, very efficient, friendly and respectful of our property.
I would add that they are not the cheapest but the product quality and fitting is outstanding. Post completion there was one small issue which they resolved immediately to our complete satisfaction. Very pleased.

R&D Goatley provided a comprehensive service in the design, project management of the brick work and flooring, installation of the windows, roof and door to our new porch. The porch is exceptional and looks fantastic, was reasonable in cost and terms for payment only when porch was finished.

Excellent service from this company throughout. Simon spent a lot of time explaining to me what I would ( and wouldn’t) get with my sliding doors. Dave came twice to measure the space absolutely accurately. I opted for a slightly unusual colour which I was delighted with. The guys fitting them did a superb job. The finishing off is exemplary. The after care also top rate. As I was involved in Brighton artist open houses I have had many people comment on them. Everyone loved the colour and quality of the product. We recently purchased and had a new front door installed by R&D Goatley. This is not our first experience with them—they carried out work for us about 30 years ago, and we are pleased to say that the quality and standard of their service remains just as high today.

The installation process was smooth and professional. We did encounter one minor issue after the fitting, but as soon as we reported it, a service technician was dispatched and arrived within an hour to resolve the problem. The swift response and attention to customer care was very impressive.
