RC Model Shop Direct Reviews 

Sadly these guys suffer with a very poor delivery service. Be prepared never to receive your order. Their support is nonexistent when things go wrong.
I am sad to leave such a bad review, but these guys are just rude.

Have used this company for rc truck models over the past few years, and more recently for a part for rc Volvo, all dealings have been met with very friendly and efficient service from Lee, highly recommended.

Exceptional experience at this RC store. Great advice & service, you can tell they're passionate about the products. Really made our day. Me and my other half are beginners at this but Lee who helped us was friendly, experienced and very helpful.

Order a product from there website , taken payment , had to chase it a few times with limited customer service help , finally told on back order and can’t understand why taken order in the first place , ask for refund , refund given but still do t have the money in my account 8-9 days later
Company blame PayPal , I contacted PayPal and they advised it the company fault as the pick E cheque
It would seem it everybody else fault maybe they should take some ownership and assist customers hopefully more consideration is given to customer care and actually taking time to let leave them hanging until contacted...

Way too slow for 1st class...Don't appreciate having to 'chase orders up' .. hopefully more consideration is given to customer care and actually taking time to let them know items are arriving late,rather than leave them hanging until contacted...

Excellent company fantastic customer service and support.
Ordered some fuel that arrived damaged, emailed straight away with photos and Lee responded immediately replying will send another with next day delivery. It just arrived fully intact. Thankyou for the speed in which it was rectified. Much appreciated. 😊

Great pricing and prompt, well packaged delivery in the run up to Christmas. Good customer service as I was able to track my parcel too. As I’d ordered late I was delighted to receive it before Christmas. Item looks good too!

Was delivered wrong item sent back within the 3 day requirement for refund and I'm now in my third week of waiting for my money to be returned

Ordered the Voltanex sports cub 500 from rcmodelshopdirect. Had little delay with delivery, I didn't notice the shop was closed for a few day because they were on holiday. So my fault for that. But the plane come the day after the shop opened. Really good price, atleast £20 cheaper than other online shops. And just in time for my son's birthday. He's cuffed to bits with the plane.

Lee at RCModel shop direct is fantastic.

I recently contacted the store as I wanted to order some things for my partner’s birthday. I don’t know anything about RC cars or kits.

Lee explained everything to me and asked pertinent questions and gave me good advice.

He also went out of his way to make sure that the order would arrive as a soon as possible. When he realised that it wouldn’t be in time for my partners birthday, he took the time to wrap the order in wrapping paper and included a note for my partner.

My partner was chuffed and I know the advice Lee gave me was good because when my partner opened the gifts he said that he had been looking at these exact things online recently :)

It’s always hard when you don’t know about something to find a place that won’t rip you off or use your lack of knowledge to their advantage. So I was chuffed when Lee helped me and gave me good advice.

I would definitely recommend RCModelshop direct and we’ll order again from them in the future!

Not able to supply what you order hard to get a refund back. Very rude and selfish will never order again. Placing orders when I have not placed an order have an email to prove it. I did not order it but he is placing the order them self.

Excellent service, Tamiya 1/14 scale Volvo 420 truck and Control unit supplied at great price, superbly packaged and sent quickly and safely by next day courier. Will definitely buy from them again.

The price was good and shipping was free (as the order was > £50 - which is lower than other shops). But the delivery was slower than expected. Ordered 13th Feb. Delivered 26th Feb (9 working days). I guess that's the trade-off. I wasn't in a rush this time, so it was okay.

Seller lies about stock he doesn't have then males promises he can't keep! Promised my order would be here for my son's bday, turns out it's being dropshipped from the US which he failed to mention! All during covid & brexit. Credit card claim opened as I've had to order elsewhere.
AVOID!

When I was informed that Hitec were no longer making RC TX's I decided to look round for a back up for my A9X. I found the very thing on Model Shop Direct and although listed as used, I bought it. The price was realistic and the delivery was fast and efficient. I am very pleased with the TX as it looks and feels brand new and functions perfectly. Thank you Lee for your help.

Firstly I have to say RCMODELSHOPDIRECT is totally the best in my eyes. I am a amateur on remote control cars and buggies. I had called up several model shops and they were not too helpful as I'm new to this I needed to know alot of info before I purchased a decent RC car. I asked a few model shops but they didn't seem helpful but when I called up RC model shop direct I was so happy with their customer service. He went into detail of how certain RC models work and what would be best for me to start with . As I didn't really want to start on a starter one I wanted a more decent one so he recommended the corally mammoth xp and I must say it's bloody amazing I love it but I have to get used to it a bit more as it's very powerful for a beginner . I would totally recommend this shop to anyone . The customer service was outstanding and if I ever upgrade I will be coming back to this place for sure.
