Overpriced and disappointed
- The original quote was a 'special' for the month, they didn't tell me would expire in 3 days (new month). They wouldn't honour the first quote, and everytime I spoke with them the quote kept increasing. Ended up paying $1000 more than the original quote, for exactly the same amount of goods.
- a lot of signing (and hurried signing at pick up), wasn't aware exactly what I was signing
- confusing emails and lack of communication once goods collected, in particular the email saying our delivery was complete when it was going interstate and hadn't even left the depot
- some boxes damaged on delivery, luckily I had packed well enough to protect my things but holes and rips in sturdy packaging boxes
- chose this company over another that was half the price for the security and better service but was disappointed

Disappointing and stressful move
Until moving day, every interaction was professional and I had high hopes. Having moved 20 times across the globe, I can say this was by far the most stressful despite being the shortest distance.
Originally booked for 7am, the move was rescheduled to a 12–3pm window, which I was happy to accommodate. The crew didn’t arrive until almost 4pm, though, and that late start put enormous pressure on all of us. We reached the storage facility after 8pm, and I got home exhausted after 11:30pm.
By then, weeks of careful packing and labelling counted for nothing. Heavy book boxes were stacked on top of boxes marked fragile, including ones holding valuable collectables. At 11:30pm I was asked to sign documents digitally, including fine print stating nothing was damaged, with no time or capacity to read them. How could I possibly confirm that?
To be fair, the two-person crew worked tirelessly and dealt with obstacles, such as a lift that couldn’t be held open. But information gathered during the earlier walk-through wasn’t passed on to them, and starting a job this size as a second job late in the day wasn’t fair to anyone.
Very disappointing, very stressful, and I’m now anxious about what I’ll find when I unpack.

Ready Movers provided an excellent service. Adam and Eddie worked purposefully and efficiently loading my possessions on to their truck. They were just all go; they didn't stop. They made a few suggestions along the way which were well received. It was a long day for them and I truly could not be more grateful for their efforts.

Fixed price quote honoured and all pickups and dleivery were well organised. The drop off was particularly good, two gentlemen who just got on with the job quietly and carefully. All staff were polite.

Our experience with Ready Movers was excellent! We have a lot of large, awkward, and heavy furniture that needed to be taken apart at times to fit through doors (even the doors needed to be removed to fit things through). Everything was put back together again at the end as well. The guys that helped us move were competent, careful, and obliging. Would definitely recommend to others.
