From start to finish Realistic Windows provided an absolute first class service. From Ryan measuring up, to Matthew and Jonno fitting, to Jen's admin support I can’t fault them. The windows are high quality, the fitting was efficient and to an extremely high standard, minor issues were resolved quickly and I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Realistic Windows to others.

We had a new patio door with internal blinds fitted , excellent product and very professional fitting. Excellent job.

Very pleased with our new front door and two windows replaced. Whole experience was positive with a professional and courteous service.

We had three doors and a side panel replaced in one day. It rained constantly the whole time however this did not deter the very professional fitters from completing an excellent job. They cleaned up perfectly and also took the time to explain how to best maintain the new doors & locks. I would fully recommend Realistic to everyone .

Realistic replaced the wood windows and doors at our property with UPVC equivalents. The company came highly recommended by a neighbour, but we still sought three quotations. Ryan quickly understood our requirements, suggested solutions and submitted a competitive quotation. The work began on the expected date and was completed within two days. The workmanship is to a very high standard, as are the new doors and windows. We would recommend Realistic unreservedly.

From the start right to the end of the project the team at Realistic were amazing.
The options sent to us in drawing form showing different window and roof options helped so much in choosing the final design.
The office team are so courteous, quick to respond to emails and ensured we were in the loop every step of the build.
The site team were super friendly, reliable,punctual and respectful.
The garden and build were left clean and tidy every day.

We had 10 windows in the house replaced. 6 of them were faulty, not airtight and the design of the frames was at fault with insufficient strength for the weight of the windows. These 6 windows were replaced but the customer service was poor, the office staff were officious and rude.
The sales person ran down (was rude) about other local window companies. This should have been a warning , but we were taken in by the sales pitch.
The workers and installation staff were excellent, clean, considerate and respectful.

The “special requirements” mentioned by the author of the comments below, were that my spouse nearly died of kidney failure and was in hospital for a week, and required warmth, and peace to recover. They also needed many further hospital visits , surgery and I struggled with dealing with a difficult situation. The 6 windows needing replacing would have meant that we would have only had one habitable room in the winter with all the associated noise, cold and limited access to the bathroom and no access to the kitchen. This was far from ideal with kidney issues. I had hoped that there would have been a degree of compassion but was disappointed by the thoughtlessness regarding our reasonable needs. This is the reason why I have left a review. I should add that think that I have been honest with my review, and think the author has been disingenuous in her response.

I do think that shows a strange approach to this situation. I am disappointed but understanding that they are trying to protect their reputation. As for renegotiation I was threatened with legal action so paid rather than go to court and risk having to pay their costs. No offer of compensation for the poor service has been made .

I have been asked to remove the name of the person/author in my comments. I have done so, as apparently it is against Trustpilot guidelines. I guess they have complained because names have been submitted on other positive reviews. I have now reduced the rate by two stars from the middle rank to 1 star as they persist in their communication via this review, rather than in emails.

We recently had replacement large (5x2.4m) Bi-fold doors fitted by Realistic Home Improvements Ltd. and after discusions with Ryan we chose ORIGIN doors for their quality and performance. the timescale from order to completion was swift and fully informed by Ryan and Jen through the process.
The installation was neatly and carefully carried out by Chris and Matt, the 2 experienced guys.
We can certainly recommend the whole team to give you a professional and stress free experience.
We will be calling them again for further windows and doors. 5+STAR

In the Autumn of 2024 I asked a number of companies to quote to replace a leaking glass conservatory roof. Ryan from Realistic came around and inspected the roof. He was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He was the only one out of 4 companies that quoted to provided a full report as to why the existing roof was leaking (needed for insurance claim). In the report he identified that the roof did not fit the frame on which it sat (the only one to spot this) and that it had incorrectly been installed without a tie bar.This report allowed us to make a successful insurance claim and we proceeded with Realistic.
They installed the replacement glass roof in a professional manner with great emphasis on the alignment of the roof, the sealing (essential to draught proof), lead flashings and finishes. A great job which has performed perfectly over the year since it was installed.
I cannot recommend him more highly and wish I had used him in 2020 when we had the conservatory roof replaced by a incompetent conservatory installer (with constant leaking problems and was so draughty) which was slightly cheaper that Realistic's quote.

We've used Realistic now for the last 3 or 4 jobs and always find them very friendly, honest, professional and good value for money. Ryan is always a pleasure to deal with, none of the hard sales talk. I think the windows/doors themselves are of a high quality, some of which we've had in for over 10 years now. R cently they fitted a bedroom and bathroom window. The fitters were excellent, very knowledgeable and took great care of our property when carrying out the work. I'd highly recommend Realistic and will undoubtedly be using them again for our next job.

Replaced an existing Victorian Conservatory with a modern orangery plus all the windows and external doors with the Origin Aluminium system. Looks amazing and the team of fitters were excellent. We are very pleased with the result

We had contended with a leaky UPVC conservatory, (roughly 6m x 4.3 m, built with our house c. 2003), for ten years before biting the bullet to replace it. But we wanted something which would be more like a garden room/orangery, but with a solid roof, so hopefully more useable through the year. We approached two companies to quote for a replacement, - a well respected local company and Realistic being not so local. Realistic/Ryan proposed a radical departure from UPVC to Aluminium with triple glazing, for which the local competitor messed us around, and didn't demonstrate the same creative thinking, so we ultimately went with Ryan's proposal. He was much more informative, flexible and proactive in what Realistic offered, and willing to work with us to meet our wishes, rather than dictate how it will be.
Going with realistic turned out to be the best decision we ever made. The conservatory remains cool enough in the summer and warm enough in the winter for all year use thanks to the solid roof and triple glazing. Ryan's suggestion to remove the dwarf walls to allow for full height tilt and turn windows, plus a patio door instead of French doors, in summer months makes for us feeling like we are in the garden, and the garden is indoors with us. We couldn't wish for a better arrangement.
No thanks to us, the start of work was delayed until August 2024, but completed by December, and we are VERY, VERY HAPPY with the end result. 5/5 stars

We contacted this company with a project that we had been told might not be possible, when we spoke with Ryan he said he would look into it and get back to us, what we wanted was an extension with an 8 metre span of bifold doors with glass above giving a clear view of the garden, on top of this we wanted a vaulted ceiling with not supports showing. When he came back he said he could get us close to what we wanted, with the compromise of having a centre column and two 4 metre bi folds.
They started in February and the whole thing only took 8 weeks, and that was because of the weather. Great staff and very helpful. We now have our lovely extension and would recommend to anyone. Many thanks to Ryan, Jenny and the team.

From my initial enquiry to final payment after the work was completed, Realistic Home Improvements were efficient, prompt and well priced. We were really pleased with the job they did (sliding patio door and back door replacement).
