Terrible expensive handbag

Buyer beware
I purchased a bag on the 17th, its now the 22nd. I haven't heard anything from them since. I see the total payment on my credit card. I was able to speak with someone but she was so rude, and hung up on me when I asked for her name. She sent a screenshot of a receipt of my purchase without tracking info. I feel robbed. I will report it to my credit card and get it resolved.

Rebecca Minkoff Candle
Rebecca Minkoff, you ought to be ashamed of yourself!!!! This lady sells a candle for $25 that is not worth .50 cents. A total rip off!!! The candle is so small and is a fire, child, and people hazard....The candle container is thin and cheap. The candle does not burn evenly. The wax turns BLACK. The wick is so cheap it falls over to the side which causes the flame to heat up the cheap container which then causes it to crack and split. Thank God a piece of the container fell off and made a noise when it hit the floor. This caused me to turn around and investigate the noise. I found a piece of the cheap candle container on the floor. It chipped and fell off due to the container being overheated. I picked up the candle container and immediately had to put it down because it was so hot, it burned my hand. When I picked it up, I heard a crunching noise....the container was about to shatter into small pieces in my hand and that would have meant hot wax all over my dresser and my hand which could have caused serious burns and injuries. I am just dumbfounded!!!!! Someone is going to be seriously hurt or killed. Shame on You!!!! You do not care anything about customer service, your brand, reputation, or customer loyalty. It's all profits for you. I wanted to add more pictures but all of a sudden I was blocked from doing so.....(See Yelp Review)

DO NOT BUY FROM REBECCA MINKOFF WEBSITE. I made a purchase on Rebecca Minkoff website and used Paypal to process the payment. When payment is done through Paypal, you make the payment in a separate Paypal platform. When I finished making the payment, I went back to rebeccaminkoff platform to finish and place the order but when I hit “place order”, rebeccaminkoff website indicated that I cannot pay with Paypal. So I abandoned the purchase and did not place the order. In the meantime, Paypal payment of $299.88 to rebeccaminkoff went through but I did not get an order number nor a shipment tracking no. from rebeccaminkoff. From rebeccaminkoff’s record, it did not have my order. After customer service requested for the order no. I explained that J do not have an order no. and there rebeccaminkoff never emailed me an order number. I requested rebeccaminkoff to refund the money but I am getting a run around on the issue and it refused to process a refund. Again, there was no order no. and tracking no. from rebeccaminkoff’s end and from my end but the payment was made as evidenced by Paypal’s record. Again, again and again, customer service kept asking me the order number which I never received from rebecca ‘minkoff. I also requested that they give me a call so we can talk and I can clearly explain to them my situation but no one from customer service has called me. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING EXPERIENCE WITH REBECCAMINKOFF. Its customer service kept asserting that I made the purchase through a different website and I used a different email address. A customer service representative by the name of Martin asked for a copy of the transaction and the payment despite providing them already to customer service a couple of times in earlier emails. Paypal’s records indicate that the vendor and payee is Rebecca Minkoff and additionally, the record indicates the Merchant ID and the Transaction ID. These information clearly showed that the payment was made to Rebecca Minkoff and not to any third party vendor/outlet selling rebecca minkoff products. Had I purchased the items from Nordstrom or Saks Fifth, why would rebecca minkoff be paid directly? I truly feel STRONG RESISTANCE from the customer service to process a refund, recognize that rebecca minkoff was paid for an order it refuses to acknowledge, has not issued an order no., has not given a shipment tracking no. and has not shipped the merchandise but yet was paid. And what is mind bugling is that customer service refuses to contact me through the phone no. I gave them so we can go over the issue on the phone and clarify things. Week one has passed and it has not offered a resolution but in the meantime is keeping my money. After reading reviews, 93% of customers have a similar rating and the same horrible and traumatizing experience with rebeccaminkoff. STAY AWAY!

This is the most frustrating shopping experience I ever had.customer service is not even responded any emails or calls. I paid overnight shipping and it pass more than 5 days and I don’t receive my package and they never replied like I said. Never again buy anything from them. Terrible experience.

The worst customer service I’ve ever experienced! Call us…..they don’t answer 20x. Leave a VM(4x) they don’t answer. Email us(4x)…they don’t answer. Leave an email through website….they finally answer after 4days. The bag I purchased in November 2023(3ish months ago is broken). Left my phone number on VM and emails still no return call. How can a company with such beautiful products be this incompetent??
Not the best or the worst
Good grief, the slowest processing time between order placement and shipment that I've experienced a quite some time. The slowest shipping (that was not free), you'd think this was being sent from overseas.Took three weeks from the time I placed the order to when it was finally received. It may be silly to complain about, but I do the majority of my shopping online, and I've become accustomed to quick processing times an shipment from most retailers, even those overseas. To be honest, I've received custom orders from Etsy in less time. Certainly not fast and efficient. like the majority of online retailers I've shopped with. Aside from the shipping, the item purchased was well packaged and the bag is especially nice. Thankfully, I won't be needing to deal with customer service in regards to a return. This is my second Rebecca Minkoff bag purchase (the first from a department store), and the bags seem to be very nice quality.
Awful customer service
Awful customer service, left 5 messages after a purchase never to hear from them. As far as I'm concerned scam company. Will never buy anything from this company again. Very disappointing.
The worst customer service
The worst customer service. And please don't blame it on COVID. I placed an order online and received an email that the order was canceled. It took four days for someone to respond to my email. They said it was canceled as fraud. What?
The agent didn't bother to say if the item was in-stock so generated another email. As no one will pick up the phone. Two days later a simple "no black not in-stock" is the return reply. I then generate a third email asking "well what colors are in-stock. Now another 48 hours no reply, and no one answers the phone.
In the interim I placed a 2nd order but this time for the color Deep Slate. Now three days later and no response at all!
Rebecca you should have never so your quality company!!!
Expense and pretty but won’t last
The handle of my purse started peeling after 18 months of very light use. I take good care of my purses and I have had an infinite number leather purses through 25 years. Most of them from brands and prices comparable to Rebecca Minkoff, that is, Coach, Fossil, Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren, and Tory Burke. None of these has peeled in at least 5 years.
My Rebecca Minkoff purse that I bought for $290 in April 2022, by 2023 was starting to deteriorate.
None of my other brand name purses has problem at all for at least 3 years so I contacted customer service. They thought this was nothing extraordinary. Gave me a contact there I could send and pay for the repair. They can only guarantee that purses will stay put for a year.
I recommend not invest in a Rebecca Minkoff leather purse. They are cheaply made and although they cost $300. They may start peeling after a year of light use. For that price better buy a Coach or Michael, these are amuch better investment.
NO ISSUES
Purchased 2 bags that were on sale 1.5 weeks ago, first time buying from this brand. I checked the reviews only after I had ordered and was worried by what I had read. But I have to be honest and say that I had no issues at all. Received a confirmation email first then an email to say my bags had been shipped a week later with an expected delivery on 9th May. I am in the UK so expected to wait on delivery. My bags actually arrived today and are in good condition so I am happy with the service I received. Maybe I just got lucky as there are many horror stories on here but I thought as my experience was good I should say so.

I would rate them 0 if I could. Worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. Ordered a bag on 2/25/2023. The website asked for 5 business days for an order update. I waited two weeks and never got an update regarding shipping unless you count a form email with an empty link as a response. Three more emails and a month later, still no update and no shipping info. I finally gave up and reported it to my credit card in order to get my money back. Really just unacceptable all around - especially for someone who has people calling them an industry leader. Never again. Buyer beware.

Rebecca is just a rich white lady trying to steal your money. she'll sell out-of-stock items and never update you and force you to not be able to cancel because it costs her money personally. She's an awful businesswoman and a bad person. customer service will not respond there's no point in emailing them she just wants to take your money, not a care in the world of her business customers, she is more concerned about promotional parties and her image on d list magazines. shes have been having customer service problems since 2018.. from what I see here, save your time and your money. don't buy from her ever
Just sell your product and respect your customers
Decent product does not make up for HORRIBLE customer service. Only company I've ever met that would rather give a refund than actually sell their product. Bought a purse for Christmas present and it never showed up or shipped, after getting ahold of customer service, to find out where it was, they automatically refunded my money without the option of just getting a new purse shipped, then refused to honor the discount I had ALREADY bought the purse for, really unbelievable. I may only have a few business classes under my belt but I'm pretty sure your supposed to sell your product to make a profit.

I received a damaged bag and have had no communication with the company. Their website says to email immediately and report any damage within 7 days of receiving the bag and they’ll get back to you right away. Welp, we are on day 6 and I just KNOW they will only get back to me after that time has expired to tell me there is nothing they can do. I would say their customer service is the worst I’ve seen, but it seems they literally do not have any such department - no customer service representatives AT ALL. They delete comments on social media asking why there is no communication or reporting issues with an order, but they have no problem posting new images and videos 4 times a day to advertise. They also delete product reviews on their website that warn customers of this as well, so it’s all around shady and ridiculous. Rebecca should be ashamed to say she’s a business owner that operates like this. I will never purchase from this company ever again. If you had any issues with an order or placed an order recently, be ready to call your bank. High end scam artists.

BAG QUALITY
Really good quality for the money, they age so well. I’ve had my mini macs since 2012 when i was still a uni student and they still hold up. no visible scratches even after stadium events
Even though their bags are marketed as “genuine leather” which is technically the lowest quality of all products made out of real leather. Her bags are tougher and age better than mansur gavriel. No baby-ing needed.
To get an indication of the wear and tear you can expect from it, search facebook marketplace, poshmark, ebay for heavily used RM items and compare them to heavily used mansur gavriel, balenciaga, proenza schouler items. they hold up much better in comparison.
OTHER COMMENTS
It will be a shame if the negative service reviews discouraged people from buying her bags because they are edgy but also very functionally made.
