I had a great experience with my instructor Adam Standage. He explained everything clearly, and helped to build my confidence driving. I made consistent progress, and never felt rushed or pressured. He helped me pass my test and I enjoyed my lessons.

Red Driving School was the best decision for me in terms of package of hours offered but also because of my driving instructor Amanat Ullah who has had so much patience with me, his availability and flexibility on the hours, always in time for the lessons, I couldn’t have done it without his excelent teaching and dedication.
I would definitely recommend Amanat Ullah and Red Driving School.

My experience with RED Driving School was unfortunately not a positive one overall, although it did start well.

I began lessons during a difficult time as I was pregnant and later classed as high risk. At the start, my instructor was helpful and the lessons were going positively. I was advised by the instructor to always give at least 48 hours’ notice if I needed to cancel lessons, which I followed.

When my situation changed, I cancelled a lesson within the required timeframe due to medical reasons. Despite this, there was a dispute regarding payment afterwards, and communication with my instructor became difficult from that point on.

As a result, my lessons did not continue and my progress was disrupted. My theory test eventually expired, meaning I had to restart the entire process with a different driving school.

Although it was a frustrating experience at the time, I later went on to complete my training elsewhere and successfully passed my driving test.

I started my lessons with Earl back in October 2025. After starting lessons over 10 years ago and stopping when relocating to London, it was time to finally pass.

Earl was a patient, calming and an attentive instructor who put me at ease right away! His knowledge was valuable and integral to my learning journey. The 10 year wait was worth it, I passed 1st time and simply could not have done it without him. I couldn’t not recommend Earl and RED driving highly enough. Thank you.

Decided to wash his car before my son's test not acceptable,also shouting at him whilst learning,my son oliver actually asked him why you shouting at me.
Really not acceptable and wasting you car on route to the test???
Please go to someone else.

Howard Lester has been an amazing instructor from start to finish. I had around 10 lessons with him and managed to pass both my theory and practical tests first time, which I couldn’t have done without his guidance.

One of the most difficult things for me was parking, but Howard explained everything so clearly and patiently that I eventually became confident with it. He’s always on time, very accommodating with scheduling, and creates a really comfortable learning environment.

On top of being a great teacher, he’s just a genuinely nice person, which makes a big difference when you’re learning to drive. I honestly can’t recommend him enough!

I do not recommend this driving school. I paid for lessons and a test, the instructor said I couldn't take the test and cancelled my lessons without discissing it with me. Then somone called me to investigate and nothing was done. I do not recommend this driving school. I expected them to offer me at least a free lesson for the stress caused.

I purchased what I believed was a 16 hour intensive course as stated on the website. I had my first lesson with my instructor who was a perfectly nice guy and did a good lesson.

He started going on about the average hours of tuition being 47 and told me it would be good to do this over 3 months which is obviously not what I signed up for and I was confused. When I enquired about this with him, he told me that I did not in fact purchase an intensive course and that taking a test in May was not realistic.

I spent £569.37 for this, they refunded £495.15 because they have the audacity to deduct the lesson they gave me under their misleading package, when really RED ought to pay for that since they’re the ones who sold me a misleading package. This is also bad for the instructors too because it’s going to make people think they are trying to scam them for more lessons!

I am absolutely flabbergasted and they need to fix their website and be explicit about their packages which are in fact not intensive courses which another review I’ve read here has confirmed is actually the case.

Anisa has by far been the most advanced and amazing driving instructor ever. Really nice and makes me feel very comfortable and confident on the road. Would definitely recommend her. She is GREAT!!!

I've been taking driving lessons for about a year now and was nervous and unsure at first however my instructor Stephanie Ritchie put me at ease and has made the lessons fun. Stephanie is really patient and explains everything in an easy to understand manner. She has gave me lots of tips to make driving easier and I feel confident asking her if I'm unsure of anything

I started lessons with Stephanie Ritchie a couple of months ago. and ever since my confidence has increased so much. she is an amazing instructor and helps you keep calm during all lessons.

I had a great driving experience with my Insructor Jamil Latif , over the course of 8 months he taught me the basics of driving with extreme patience, and was clear and reliable to communicate with when I had queries or struggled with something, not once did he ever shout and was aleays very easy to talk to and a very sound guy at that.

I passed my test thanks to my instructor, Phil Durmush. I had a really great experience learning to drive with him, he’s incredibly patient, calm, and explains things in a way that actually makes sense, which made a huge difference to my confidence on the road.

What I appreciated most was how he adapted each lesson to what I needed to work on. You can tell he genuinely wants his students to succeed and become safe, confident drivers.

I’d definitely recommend Phil to anyone looking for a supportive and reliable driving instructor.

My experience was excellent. I had booked 10 hours with Anthony, who was clear, calm and pushed me when needed.

I passed my driving test on 1st attempt and my instructer was Ben Lark who is incredibly patient, professional, and explains everything clearly, which really helped build my confidence on the road. His calm and encouraging approach made every lesson enjoyable, even when I was nervous. Thanks to his excellent teaching, I was able to pass my driving test. I highly recommend Ben to anyone looking for a reliable and supportive driving instructor

My instructor is Laily Alkozai. She helped me to pass the chertsey driving. Very good instructor very smooth. I have a very good experience with her on the road.

I had my driving lessons with Syed Mohammad Khurram Gillani and it was an excellent experience. He is a very knowledgeable, patient, and supportive instructor who explains everything clearly. He always takes the time to help and makes you feel confident while learning. His professionalism and dedication really stand out. Highly recommended—a true 5-star experience!

My Daughter had some lessons with another driving school and had no love for driving or passing her test. However, because changing her test date was so difficult, we decided to try another driving school and persevere.

We found Ben Lark from Red driving school in Chertsey and I can not believe the difference in my daughter and her driving. Today she passed her test and this was all down to Ben and his calm, reassuring teaching style. After my daughters first lesson with Ben, she had totally changed, wanting to go out for drives and practice whenever possible.

If your son or daughter isn't clicking with their current teacher, please give Red driving school and Ben a call. The Red website is a little clunky, but Ben was so flexible to fit the lessons in to ensure the best chance of passing.

We can't thank Ben Lark enough, he really was excellent for our daughter.

Hello i had lessons with Jason for 8 mounths and he took me from an anxious nervouse driver to a confident driver. I have passed my test with only 3 minors and couldnt recommend him better. I definatly recommend for people who need more time as Jason is very patient and caring with dyslexic pupils. Thankyou Jason
