Great experience from start to end , staff very professional and communication in all aspects was exceptional.

Having watched a couple webinars and wanting to invest in SA through Redmayne Smith, I spoke to Curtis and we found a great place in Leeds that was perfect for my budget, once I sent the deposit over, everyone at Redmayne Smith, Curtis, Cara and Faye made the process very easy. Account contacted me and seamlessly setup my business, Solicitor contacted me and pretty quickly went through all the process steps to exchange. Anti Money Laundering checks were very straight forward if you have details to hand, be aware that you will need access to accounts if you have been sent money from third party accounts but all in all the whole process has been a breeze and would highly recommend investing in this way. Thanks guys for the seamless service and I will definitely be investing in the future.

I’ve just exchanged contracts on an off-plan property through Redmayne Smith, and the experience so far has been excellent. The team is incredibly friendly, professional, and always willing to help. It’s clear they genuinely care about their clients, and the personal touches—like a lovely book and a beautiful bunch of flowers—were a really thoughtful surprise.

One small area for improvement is communication between the solicitors and the team. After sending requested documents, I’d often be asked for them again by someone else, which felt a little repetitive. Also, solicitors chase for responses in less than 24 hours, even on complex decisions and documents that require time to review properly. A little more time before being chased would be helpful.
That said, knowing I can speak directly with Gordie whenever needed is really reassuring, and the regular contact throughout the process makes a big difference. I’m looking forward to completion and feel confident knowing Redmayne Smith will continue to provide great support along the way. I’d definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a smooth and professional property-buying experience.

It was never brought to my attention however this was as close to a hand held experience as I could have imagined. The staff of Redmayne Smith were always at hand to answer my question. My questions additional were invariably handled with respect as well as the understanding that I had the right to ask them. A requested update was needed from me each morning as the process progressed with the feeling that it was in my best interest of seeing that things went smoothly as well as on time. As a manifestation of how ostentatious the experience was in the middle of writing this review a bottle of Champagne was delivered to my door. Much thanks to Redmayne Smith!

One thing I’ve learned about off plans investments via Redmayne Smith is: NEVER EVER AGAIN!

I’ve been reading all the positive reviews and these people may well be at the initial phase of their investment where everything sounds wonderful. We have to yet wait and see what they all have to say post completion.

Rather than sharing my bitter experience I thought I would make a constructive review by advising all potential off plan investors to do their due diligence before putting a reservation fee down and not get trapped in the hard selling pressure: “this is a great investment opportunity”, “they are selling out quickly” and my favourite “we’re investing in this development ourselves”, etc etc.

Please be aware that off plan investments is an UNREGULATED INDUSTRY therefore it is very important that you do your Due Diligence before getting involved. This is not just with Redmayne Smith but with any agent selling new builds / off plan properties.

As Georgina Long rightly pointed out in her review on 4th August 2024, this type of investment only suits those who have high levels of cash in the bank so they can be prepared for all kinds of eventualities. If you're not cash rich, you're simply at risk of losing all the money invested. Sadly, I've witnessed it on several occasions.
