Hey buddy--I just saw a post of yours on IG, wow, haha. OK, lemme preface this by saying that I absolutely love what you do. On two separate occasions I've spent more than an hour going through your selections, figuring out what'd be the first lamp I'd get. So respectfully I have to say I was a little disappointed with one aspect of the finished product--but I might've actually misinterpreted something: The main sticker--of 'The Terminator'--seems to have been double pasted, like the edges of an unremoved sticker ever so slightly protrudes from the front facing one. Is this a retro aesthetic choice? I'm a video store guy too--I seem to remember this type of thing on cases--but not on the tape itself--even for rentals, lol. Otherwise the tape-lamp is fine. The lamp works nice. It's light. It's all good. The case itself also had the after-wear (so to speak) of a removed sticker. Was that an aesthetic choice too? I rubbed it away on what is an otherwise cool box. NOT TO COMPLAIN unnecessarily😆😉. I'm interested in at least five others--and you produce film print stickers for any film? Great. I HAVE LOADS OF IDEAS that I'd want to see finalised to purchase. They'd be excellent presents too (two birthdays coming up!). I just saw your IG post about lamp-clocks. They look real cool. Thanks.

Thanks for your feedback and I'm glad you like the look of our brand-new VHS clocks we have just launched.
When we make our lamps, we always try to use the original VHS and sticker on the front of the lamp - stock dependant. We do also print our own labels (and yes, we can do this for any film) as was the case for your order where the label design on the front of the lamp you ordered isn't the original VHS label design.
Where possible we remove all the old labels from the VHS tape before applying the new label. However, some of these labels have been in place for 30+ years and can't always be removed in a way that doesn't leave a nice flat surface for the new label or a surface that the new label can be adhered to. In these instances, the new label will be applied over the existing one - leaving a border that as allude to, adds to the retro feel.
With the free VHS case that we include with our orders; all of these are thoroughly cleaned when we insert out custom sleeves. This process includes removing any stickers on the case that aren't in keeping with our brand. In this instance it appears that you have received a case where the sticky residue from a removed sticker wasn't fully cleaned away. This is not by design and I can only apologise.
If you aren't 100% happy with your lamp, then we are happy to replace it for you.
