We are very thankful for Alana’s professionalism and efficiency. Although we ended up not going through with this company we found the process was great.

Terrible Customer Service
Update: Following the below review, the company then offered us money to take it down. I think that sums up the company that they are - who knows how many negative reviews have been removed based on them paying people off.
My wife and I are both bitterly disappointed, frustrated and unhappy with the service we have received from Refresh Renovations.
We raised our budget from the very beginning, ensuring before we committed that we had enough to achieve our goals and that we weren’t being unreasonable. The Refresh representative even contacted both Directors (Roger and Tracy) to ensure our budget was along the right lines before progressing forward.
After months of going over designs with the team, we then met to review the estimation report. Taking into account we de-scoped a bathroom and were aiming for a basic spec, the report still came out over double our top budget.
One of the things we were most disappointed by was that no one brought up the project coming in massively over budget until we had to say it to Roger and Tracy. They have acknowledged in subsequence emails that they knew budget was of upmost importance to us, yet it was still mentioned by no one until we said something and even then it felt like nobody really understood how ridiculously over-budget the quote was. This is extremely poor customer service. Either they both decided to ignore it or they just didn’t bother to look at our file. Both are unacceptable. We feel like we have been misled into getting the initial report done.
We hope that going forward their team will take our feedback on board and that other customers do not have the same experience- we have wasted time and money on this- neither of which we can get back.

Hi Stephen, we appreciate you taking the time to share your concerns with us and are disappointed to hear this feedback. We think it is important to highlight how Refresh Renovations are working towards changing the way the world renovates and de risking projects for our customers globally.
The Refresh process allows our teams to work with our customers to identify the feasibility and costs of a project by going through a 5-step process. The planning costs are broken down and are paid for each step of the way so it allows our customers to decide if this is a project they can pursue within their budget range. This is essential, as it is impossible to understand what a project might cost prior to this work being carried out.
The concept and feasibility stage focuses on the concept plans, if the project is going to be feasible and an estimated cost of the project. Should it be progressed to the next stage the project progresses into the working drawings & costing stage, during which we will produce a build ready briefing documentation, construction plans and fixed price so we can move into the build stage.
If at the concept & feasibility stage the project costs come in over your budget range this supports our customers to make the decision to review their requirements and change the specifications to meet their budget or they may wish to hold off proceeding further until they can afford their ideal project outcome. We can understand the disappointment that you may have felt when you saw the costs we provided you with and that these were still over your budget, this is why Refresh exists to support homeowners in making these decisions so we reduce the risk of a budget blowout halfway through the build of a project. We do not want to promise you a price for a project that we know cannot be achieved, and we can only understand that after the concept & feasibility stage.
If a customer does not wish to proceed to build for whatever reason, it is included in our contracts that they will receive the drawings and all project documentation that is produced within the stage that has been completed. These are still available for you to hold on to if you wish to review these at a later date.
We value feedback like yours as it gives us an opportunity to see how we can improve our customer service and review how we communicate the Refresh offer and processes.
